Some of you need to take a deep breath and think about what you are writing,lots of jerking of the knees and doom merchants. Things are not very exciting at the moment but we are not getting outplayed,teams will line up to stop us from playing and we just need to find a way around that. Wham are a horrible team with a terrible manager who will be very content with a point,they play basic bustling football because that's all they are capable of,they came for a point and that's exactly what they got,we played some good football at times but they were there to break up the play and we didn't find a way to rise above it. A few players looked jaded because of international games and the keeper played a blinder,west ham played dirty,wasted time and basically frustrated,nothing more than I expected tbh. Good football will always win over that sh!te served up to wham fans,they will eventually find their level and so will we,I will bet my life that our level will be much higher.

Horrible horrible team with horrible horrible tactics We had plenty of chances to win it but I suppose if you can't win it make sure you don't lose it

Doesn't matter if you score from open play or not,you don't get extra points. I'd be happy to win games on penalties all season,it won't be pretty but 3 points is 3 points.

This for me. Lambert looks at ease with the England team,he looks like he's been around for years but more importantly the other England players seem to love him,you can just see the joy oozing out when he scores,the senior players are all over him in the celebrations and that will make his international career,however long,much easier.

First player for 37 years to score in his first two England games apparently. Take a bow son.

I've got a program, a glass with a picture of the front page of the pink printed on it and I did have a badge with 'man utd fell off the back of a lawrie' which I got from sperrings,but I can't find it. A couple of years ago my son also plucked out of a skip a copy of the record.

Never understand people who feel compelled to stuff their faces and drink **** beer all in a 15 minute spell,where's the socialising/enjoyment in that? Either have a relaxed drink before or after the game if that's your thing.

Manu can look all they like and I bet they would love him for £10m but I to also have dreams and i would like a Lamborghini for the price of a fiesta. The problem is southampton fc have moved on,we are not the club we were 3 years ago and he other big teams are living in the past,they still think we are going to take it in the arse every time they come knocking......we don't need the money,we don't need to sell and they can go and flick themselves. A nothing story based on nothing from a sh!t rag,the press want to see the best players in the country playing at the best clubs in the country,what they can't fathom is that the best young prospect in the country is already at one of the best clubs in the country COYR.

I think that any one of the saints players mentioned are at least equal if not better than welbeck so why shouldn't they be considered? If welbeck was playing at any other team instead of Manu do you think he would get a chance? If zaha stayed at palace would he have been called up? The FA have got to be looking and recruiting from the likes of saints,the overpaid ponces from the bigger clubs have had it easy for too long and need to move aside for the sake of the international game. The culture of 'jobs for the boys' need to be eradicated from the England setup otherwise we will never win a thing.

This ^ Exactly my thoughts,I think people have got tired of average players playing for England over better,more hungry players just because of which club they play their day to day football for. Lambert and his kind would crawl on broken glass just to be involved,compare that to the overpaid ponces who wouldn't even drive over a puddle in their Ferrari's to get to wembley. Rickies story should be shown to every young footballer in England by the FA as an inspiration.

Inactivity is a bit overstated,we've made two decent signings from outside the club and tied up a deal with Luke shaw,I would have liked another striker but on the whole it's not all that bad unless people are still buying into the whole 'pushing for champions league' ****** then it could possibly be construed as being a sh!te summer.

I have just been told that anybody wearing an old saints shirt will not be allowed into the stadium on match days as Adidas do not want other brands advertised.......also fat people,gypsies,disabled people,Irish people,women and coloureds will be turned away,on the plus side fat people will be encouraged to congregate around the burger vans where they are to remain for the duration of the match until their carers come to round them up and shoe horn them back into their cars.

I rate Adam highly,he stuck by us when we were on the bones of our arses when he could of strolled into a decent prem team,so for that he has to be applauded especially in these days of no loyalty and greed. On the minus side,even though he deserves his title of captain I don't think he should be,he needs to have more of an end product and he needs to up his game sometimes but these are all things that can be worked on. There are a lot of teams out there who would love to have him,but I am so glad that he is ours.

He could stroll into probably 50% or more of the teams in the prem so why would he be considering reading as a choice,the only thing they have the advantage over prem teams is the location being closer to his house but another 20 minutes and you're in London.......not going to happen IMO,he's far too good for them.
