  1. I posted earlier in the season about players slipping and wether or not it was down to boots or watered pitch. Today there was a lot of slipping again and it led to stoke scoring. So is it down to the pitch or down to the boots?......either way I think it cost us the 3 points today.
  2. Yep he certainly will be getting a warm send off from me,even though his career didn't probably pan out the way it should have he certainly made a huge impact to the English game in general. As usual he was probably thrust into the big time too young and this contributed to his injuries later in life,I also suspect that the love of money and horse racing probably contributed to his lack of hunger and passion he possessed when he started out. All the same, good luck and thank you Michael Owen.
  3. This was the only outcome it was ever going to be. Good news
  4. I broke into st Mary's and invaded the pitch on Tuesday night when the arse beat Wigan,so I will be remaining in my seat Sunday.
  5. I can back this up as I know the fella that drives them around in this country and when they visit st Mary's they demand absolute anonymity.
  6. Sabre rattling stand off IMO. Cortese usually gets what he wants.
  7. Our season can be split into thirds, consisting of the first third being not so good, the middle third being excellent and the last third being average...... I will be expecting the same next season tbh.
  8. Signed, good luck ,hope it turns out well for you lot.
  9. Dress up as a ****
  10. We are near as damn it safe and it's been a rollercoaster season but I've loved every minute of it.this is where we belong and I'm looking forward to an exciting summer followed by another crack in the prem. COYR
  11. My first away game was pompey 1976,I don't remember any trouble and I don't recall any talk of violent hatred towards them but then I was only 9. 1984 cup game was a different story though and I remember early 80's there was always rumblings of 'cant wait to meet the scummers',so IMO something changed between 1976-early 80's.....I could be wrong though and I'm sure the older lot on here will have differing opinions.
  12. I wouldn't be bothered if he went, hasn't really shown anything to make me regret it if he departs and it seems that the manager isn't that fussed about him otherwise he would be playing more often.
  13. Eh?.. What if one of them wins the last game they will be on 41 points!
  14. Exactly,I want players to regret leaving saints and enjoying scoring against us,not giving us sympathetic respect when they score....I was gutted bale left us but that's football,he was always going to go onto better things. Football sometimes is too nice and fans expect the players to be as loyal as them but those players have no loyalty to us,most of them probably heard very little about southampton before they joined us and don't really give a flying **** about us,the club or the city.spurs are his paymaster now and although it is good when a player gives a nod of respect to his past,it can't go on forever,he will probably be off in the summer and the same spurs fans who tried to drive him from the club in his first season will be crying on their forums when he returns to bang in a couple for his new club and celebrates.
  15. It's the sterile nature of football these days in general, since the 80's the passion has been slowly eroded from football, average players are paid vast amounts of money and have become complacent overpaid ponces, fans are treated like cash cows and told where to sit, what to buy and how to support and we all comply. There is no 'anger' in the support anymore......just read the 'ukip' thread to see how people on here react to 4 blokes having a laugh, imagine what their reaction would be if all of a sudden football went back in time to the 80's,they'd faint and have to have smelling salts administered the big girls blouses. Footballs policies are 'give us your money, sit down, shut up,go home via the gift shop, see you next week' and most of you like it that way.
  16. It was his 200th game for spurs and a cracking goal scored by leaving shaw ( the best young left back in the prem) for dead....what's not to celebrate?,after all there was a lot of booing from saints fans every time he touched the ball along with sarcastic chants of 'bale, bale' every time he went down so if it was me I would have ran over to us and given it plenty right in our faces tbh.....respect works both ways.
  17. That was me and a few mates,it was nothing to do with politics but a private joke/bet that had been going on all day......**** me get over yourselves you anal bunch of ****s.
  18. Everybody apart from reading and QPR wants to stay in the prem and you can bet your life they're not going to go down without a fight,I just hope that we have enough in the locker to match them blow for blow.
  19. Lots of possession but no end product....spurs were awful apart from the goal and their support is dreadful, probably one of the worst I've experienced for a long while. Dirty stinking town full of immigrants.
  20. 5/10 inches ,that is close
  21. Dream on you French paedo......£10m for one of the best young players in the prem,I don't think so mush.
  22. Both managers got what they deserved IMO.....they both stupidly took on impossible jobs and this is the end result.
  23. Crap songs, nothing original and sometimes a bit cringy.....you northam dwellers need to up your game and if you can't then come and sit with me in the library that is the chapel.
  24. Tbh he didn't do anything too wrong all afternoon until the red card ,I'm not his biggest fan but I sometimes think he gets some unjust stick......saying all that I'm sure he will be farmed out in the summer with shaw being first choice.
