"Butch and Sundance and Whitey" doesn't have the same ring about it though 😀

If he's as good as KWP we will have done very well. KWP was "streets" ahead of Bertie last season (I'm not saying Bertie wasn't a very good servant, but his energy levels seemed to dip dramatically over the past 2 seasons.....or so it appeared to me anyway)

Grealish is undoubtedly a very talented player but I genuinely find his diving an embarrassment (when in an England shirt). I hope when the Euros start there isn't a gentle breeze, or he'll spend all his time on the ground. I'm sure he'd get knocked over by a sudden gust of pollen! If for any reason he pulls out of the squad, get Tom Daley in as a replacement. I wouldn't care if he were to score the winner in a Euros final (fat chance of us being there anyway), in my eyes he would still be a grade one wanker. If he did move to City, I have a feeling Pep would put a stop to it. (Just to keep it "on Saints" topic) He was diving 2 years ago when playing Saints at St Mary's and his diving was the main topic of conversation on the concourse at half-time. I do hope the Euro refs find him out.....and if so, lets see if he stays on his feet more.

Only my opinion, but if Spurs get £150m for Kane, then every player they try to sign, they will suddenly find the price has gone up, simply because the selling clubs will know they have the money to spend and that they will be desperate to sign someone "decent" to replace Kane.

Only in the "rumour" and "Gossip" bit of BBCSport I know, but Everton may consider Stevie Gerrard as a replacement for Ancelotti. Really? I bet the Dug Out fans would welcome him with open arms. Am I the only one who thinks this would never happen in a million years?

If he'd put that early chance away in the West Ham game, I bet the feeling on here (not everyone, but quite a few) would have been completely different.......but the fact is, he didn't put it away. When you look at Willock and Lingard, those loans were brilliant (Willock probably saved Newcastle from going down......haha especially as Fulham were on such a dynamic run.......not!..... and Lingard's contribution probably got WHU into Europe). Unfortunately Min has had nowhere near the impact of those two. I saw moments of promise, but for me, not enough. But then, if he'd been as brilliant as Willock and Lingard, Liverpool would have taken him back or raised his price beyond our means......so I guess it's a "no win" situation.

Based upon our first half of the season I would have said NO! Based upon our second half of the season I would say YES.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25

That'll be Danny Ings' replacement sorted then. -
Not sure about "blue" sky Whitey. We don't want that lot down the road claiming the sky supports them! More like all brothers and sisters under a red and white striped sky.

OK. I'm going out on an even longer limb. Everyone will love it (Haha)

Portsmouth 0 Southampton 4. !!! What? That was last last season? Really? Gosh! It still seems so fresh in the memory.
-
Haha. Get Whelk in the dressing room. A classic half-time team-talk. No messing about with formations, flat back fours, false number 9's, no 4 2 2 2, or 3 4 3, slipping to a 3 5 2, no flip charts on where you should stand when we have a corner, no "long ball", "play through the middle", tippy tappy bollocks........just get Whelk in there with his team talk. Job done! Well played Sir!

Nuno to Spuds? Potter to Wolves? Lampard to Brighton Just speculating......probably nothing like it. Hang on....I'm having an argument with myself to save you guys from doing it 😀

Indeed. In fact, it could have been Mike Dean who headed that winning goal for "the dippers". Now there's a story.
-
I need to defend Mike Dean's decision here: He probably had his head so far up his own arse, he didn't actually see the incident.
-
No reason why this couldn't be the first kit. Too nice to be 3rd choice.

Watching Villa and Everton. Not sure I can listen to Hinchcliffe co-commentating anymore. I've said it before, but he's doing my crust in. The man just spends 90 minutes of each game criticizing players. "He should have done this", "He should have done that", "He simply had to score there", "He should have driven that cross in and not floated it" and in the next sentence "He's driven that ball in when he should have floated it". He must have been one hell of a player in his time......although as I recall, he was an average premiership player. Every sentence he utters is a real "downer". How come Sky are so consistently bad at employing co-commentators and pundits. Surely there's better out there.

Assuming Vesti is leaving and Romeu is fit. Change to 3 at the back (I doubt if Ralph will try it). Try a 3 4 1 2 just for once. Forster Stephens Bednarek Salisu KWP JWP Romeu DJenepo (or Redmond) (or Diallo) (or Tella) (or Jankowitz) hahaha Armstrong Ings Adams

Can we please get a LB whose initials are not RB. Too bloody confusing for me! Anyway, no denying he has been a great signing and servant of the club, but over the past season (and possibly two) I have noticed a decline in his pace and ability to get back quickly once he has gone forward, so I agree this is the right move for him. maybe he'll go to one of the newly promoted clubs. Watford? or drop down to the Championship. Obviously need to replace him, but I also wonder whether a back 3 would work. We looked quite solid when Salisu came on last night and we seemed to go to a back 3 with Jack Stephens (yes I know he had a brain fart, but overall he hasn't been that bad filling in for RB) moving across to the right of Vesti and Salisu to the left. Mind you, if Vesti goes we'll be looking for a CB as well as a LB. Whatever, it could be a busy Summer. Let's hope we act early. I don't have great knowledge of The Championship, but if we are looking for a LB that gets forward in a similar vein to KWP, Omar Richards at Reading looks decent and they having missed out on promotion I have heard they will need to sell some good players.

I don't think I've ever paid so much attention to an Accrington Stanley result. "COME ON YOU..........ACCERS?????!.........STANLEY?????...." ....or whatever their fans shout.
-
Of course I don't like us slipping a place, but...... Hahahahahahaha "Rat Boy" Vardy, "Gobshite" Maddison and their mates fucking it up.....again. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
-
To be honest, we're fast running out of refs who are our "friends". I may well be wrong, but if my memory serves me (not to be trusted!) I think the last time Kevin Friend refereed us he was ok and we had a good result. Not sure where this info can be found.
-
When Romeu got imjured against Leeds all those weeks ago, I feared we would miss him massively. Up until then he'd been one of our players of the season and he and JWP had formed a good understanding in the middle. He was also making "driving" runs forward. JWP certainly has not been as effective without him in the side as protection and Diallo for me,, hasn't lived up to the early promise. We have lost that "bite" in midfield and the protection offered by Romeu in front of what looks like a very frail back four without him.

I blame Jack Stephens

Is that one bunch of flowers each, or between them? If it's between them, Gao will take 80% of the bunch and Kat 20%. Anyway, I'm not sure Gao would remember where St Mary's is, let alone the centre circle.
