  1. So tonight, JRod scored 4 for Burnley. Minamino scored 2 for the Pool. Charlie Austin scored 2 for QPR. Not a bad night for ex-Saints....But the most important one......Oriol RAMOO (according to Chris Kamara that is!) Well done Oriol.
  2. Yep......and Kevin De Bruyne (KDB) would round the window off nicely thank you very much.
  3. Redmond was probably trying to make his mind up whether the ball had touched the ground or not.
  4. I know it gets a bit despairing at times, supporting Saints, but we really should collectively drop to our knees and that thank our lucky stars (or whichever God we believe in) that we weren't born......... supporting Burnley. What a dirty bunch of horrible bastards they are. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand Everton, but I was pleased they won tonight having been kicked about the park by those thugs, How Townsend got booked for a slight push on a Burnley player, moments after Tarkowski went unpunished, having nearly kicked Richarlason into Row Z, I don't know. Only Martin Atkinson and the ever reliable Mike Dean as fourth official will know the answer to that. So, you Saints fans, as you read this, force a smile for 10 seconds, and remember.........you don't support Burnley.
  5. Shane Long.......damn.....these drugs are wearing off.
  6. No, but there are certain individuals on here that will still call him one.
  7. CAPTION CONTEST: STEPHENS - "Please can I have your shirt after the game Bruno. If not, I'm going to rip it off your back during the game" or PROWSEY - "Go on Jack, fucking hit him...... I'll hold your coat".
  8. I thought I just told you to shut the fuck up.
  9. Now listen all you perpetual fucking whingers. We've just drawn with a club whose bench is worth more than our whole squad. So.....for once..... SHUT THE FUCK UP.
  10. ......and if he has potential as a holding midfield player (I haven't watched the youtube clips yet) maybe the board are looking at him as a possible CB and back up holding midfield player. Two positions for the price of one as such. Just a thought.
  11. Yep. Agree. Let's write this guy off before he's even had a medical here. So many "experts" on this site. Arsenal paid £50m for Ben White and he didn't look all that clever against the "mighty" Brentford last week. Anyway - let's all gather around a slit our wrists together. By the way......we are playing Man U this week - a club probably 20 times richer than us, and probably one of the hot favourites to win the league this year. Logically speaking, we will probably get beaten, possibly by a few goals. I can't wait for the melt down on this site when that happens. Get real people, we are a small fish in a pond of very big fish. One day, maybe this season, maybe next season, maybe the season after, we will get relegated. It's what happens in football. If you can't stand the thought of that, I suggest you bugger off now and take up knitting or embroidery instead.
  12. I see that Messi will have to wait for his debut with PSG as he has been left out of their starting XI for their match against Brest. Similar to Saints, I guess, they have signed him as a "promising one, for the future".
  13. Go easy Turkish.....take a break lad.....I think your drugs are wearing off 😀
  14. Yes I agree. I was being ironic! Always thought Vesty was pretty useless in the air considering his height. Anyway as said, I agree with you.
  15. Yep - someone who is tall and can get on the end of JWP's set pieces. Someone like.....ummm.....Vestegaard at Leicester.....What?
  16. The aim of the email was to engage with inactive account holders or those that may not have purchased a ticket for some time ......barring a couple of friendlies, I guess most account holders may not have bought a ticket for.......well.......let's see......ummmm.....well.......since........probably before the pandemic. Can somebody let the office know why it's been unusually quiet on match days.
  17. My Team for this one McCarthy AND Forster in goal and then play with a Back NINE Livermento KWP JWP Stephens Bednarek Salisu Simeu Romeu Perraud JOB DONE! 0-0
  18. Even at the top of Mount Snowdon you'll be able to hear the whingeing from this site!!!
  19. I have two Saints players in my Fantasy team. Guess which two? That's right..... KWP and Stu. Brilliant!
  20. Yep. Brighton must be laughing all the way to the bank. The £50m Ben White looked like a fish up a chimney tonight - totally bossed by Toney.
  21. BREAKING NEWS: PETTY BICKERING BREAKS OUT AGAIN ON SAINTSWEB. This time over a multi-coloured shirt. Boy, it's going to be a long season!!!
  22. And also a very good headless chicken (just my opinion of course) at times. No thanks.
  23. Well I guess the helicopter will have a tighter turning circle than Vesti. And this is only my opinion (others will no doubt disagree) but, I genuinely think a lot of Bednarek's problem in defence, was that he was covering a lot of the time for Vesti's lack of pace, hence making last ditch tackles and the like. I think with a more mobile partnership at the back we will see a better Bednarek. He didn't look too bad for Poland in the Euros. Dare I say on the few occasions he partnered Jack Stephens we generally looked "calmer". Vesti was useful for his height and long ball passing obviously and no doubt he improved last season but he still had lapse's in concentration which caused general panic among the others. Prior to the first lock down I felt he was a less than average defender, so £15m for me is not a bad bit of business. I also felt there may be an "attitude" thing with him. Only from my own observations. I remember watching him in his debut at St Mary's and even then he was having "digs" at Jack Stephens who IIRC partnered him that day. This all probably sounds like "sour grapes" but it honestly isn't.
  24. Apparently, according to the BBC, Jack Grealish "teared up" as he said goodbye to his boyhood club, Aston Villa. This is quite a coincidence, because when I found out that Man City had paid £100m for a bloke that keeps falling over, I found that quite eye watering too. Amen.
  25. Re Bertrand - There is no doubting he served us well over the years but part of me thinks for the past couple of seasons he was "phoning in" his performance each week. He definitely looked "half arsed" towards the end. We needed to get rid with some fresh legs down the left (Perraud hopefully will supply that)
