  1. One of the greatest football songs of all time (probably from the 70's if I recall) surely has to be the legendary and lyrically brilliant..... "We all hate Leeds and Leeds and Leeds, Leeds and Leeds and Leeds and Leeds, and Leeds and Leeds and Leeds, WE ALL FUCKIN' HATE LEEDS"
  2. Yes MLG, I know.....I was being ironic. But never mind. I should have realised it wouldn't pass the "pedantic test".
  3. Touchel is coming across as a real whinging tosser. Changing the subject slightly - Chelsea have just announced losses of £145.6 million! They could easily get £10 million of that back straight away........by selling us Broja. Come on Chelski, you know it makes sense!
  4. Serious question. We used to get flu epidemics, usually in winter. I can honestly say I don't know of anyone personally, who has had flu in the past two years. Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else on here know of any actual flu cases? I don't recall games being postponed because of flu.
  5. Can anyone help me please? I am trying to find the resident "Ralph Bashers" that come on here, week in - week out. They didn't seem to be around on Boxing Day evening and they are very quiet again this evening. Has something happened to them? I do hope the're alright. Must be a tough time for them. Enjoy it - 4 points from the two, potentially very tough "festive" games so far. I would have taken that at the start. Great second half defensive display today. Well done to the whole team......Oh, and Ralph too.
  6. My money is on our game with Newcastle being postponed. Eddie Howe already saying he is dangerously close to not being able to field a team. I wonder how closely monitored these Covid results are. It would suit them to have a couple go down with Covid now, call it off, buy some time, get a few players fit and buy a few quality players, before they play Everton, Saints, Watford & Leeds. Just saying.
  7. Just sitting here surmising with nothing better to do.......how about, if Stu Armstrong does want away? Wants to go back to Scotland? Highly unlikely that a former Celtic player would end up at Rangers I know, but a swap with this Joe Aribo lad reported above. Maybe? Or would Tottenham (spit) be interested in Stu?.......maybe in exchange for an unsettled Dele Ali. Also unlikely, but just surmising. Go on then.....shoot me down in flames.
  8. I really like Stu, but If we got decent money for him we could use it to buy someone else or.......offer Chelsea some money for Broja and keep him. Can you actually buy a player during a loan period? I'd like to think he'd want to stay if he was "guaranteed" first team football.
  9. It wouldn't surprise me if Stu leaves in January. Something's not right. I guess the only positive would be that we might get some decent money for him. Just on the Covid front - I see Klopp is quoted as saying he can't the the benefit of stopping the Premier league because of Covid. Why do I think he'd be saying something different if 7 of his players had Covid.
  10. Yes indeed. As Turkish says, welcome to the family, as dysfunctional as it may seem. It takes a special type of person to support the Saints. You could try leaving now before you get totally hooked in and find there's no way out.....Sorry, too late. You're in now and you have to stay.
  11. With Man City 3-0 up against Leeds before half-time, it looks like we've just moved up a place in the league. Come on City (never thought I'd say that!)
  12. Yeh, apparently they've lost quite a few points from winning positions. So I make it, with our record, whoever scores first will lose. A little bet of 1-0 at half time and 1-2 at full time - or vice versa, maybe the way to go. I have to say, Arsenal looked poor tonight. Definitely missed Smith-Rowe. No doubt he'll be back for the weekend. Tierney picked up an injury too I think.
  13. Perhaps the so called "cult", which seems to have been invented on here are not those ones who support the club, support the manager and want him to stay, but those who bang on with relentless monotony, like broken records, about how they want him out. Those who try to preach to others with opposing views. Someone on here called Ralph a simpleton earlier. Yeh right....I don't need to add anything, I think that post speaks for itself.
  14. There's a van on the opposite side of the road from main entrance. Is it me or is £7.50 for a coffee and a portion of under cooked "Cheesey chips" a bit fucking steep?
  15. Yeh it's a good point Turkish. I guess when they start splashing the cash though, there will be some mercenaries out there who will take a big pay-day for the risk of relegation, but either way it'll be fun watching it all unravel!
  16. I guess with Newcastle, and the timing of their takeover by their "extremely rich" owners, it may well have had a completely adverse effect on the current players, because once those owners start spending, half or maybe even more of that current team know they won't be getting a game after January. They probably also thought they'd be getting in a top "multi trophy winning coach" only to find they've got someone (Eddie Howe) who led his last team to relegation.
  17. The Infinite Monkey Theorem. This states something like....if you give 100 monkeys (Chimps) 1000 typewriters over an infinite amount of time, to hit the keys randomly there is a reasonable probability that sooner or later one of them will write the complete works of William Shakespeare. I don't "indulge" in Talksport and have no idea who this Crook fella is, but based upon the posts above this might be one of his efforts.... "Flimdim, bus stop whim, alligator, wiffle piffle Talksport, moon balloon Diego Mara doner kebab Chelsea bun blah blah Talksport smackaRooney for Aguero Bolero Paul McCartney and Wings Mings Villa and Ings probably not What? Hot off the press horses for courses got sources Adams Armstrong Adam Armstrong Stuart Armstrong Che Adams Stretch Armstrong, ITK RAC Talksport. Boom! Told you so."
  18. Yeh but that's a long way from the Itchen and Kingsland to Hillsborough. 😀
  19. Good to see him back. He was having a good run of games when he got injured so it gives us another option.
  20. This is a strange one. CHELSEA have appealed against Harry Maguire's sending off........apparently they want him to play against them next week 🤣🤣🤣
  21. Probably not suitable as a "football song" but as we're talking about songs for and about England, I think this takes some beating. Ralph McTell's "England". Just a beautiful song. Hope you enjoy it.
  22. Some of you may already have read this, but I thought I'd stick the link here anyway. I thought it was an interesting read. I foresee mayhem looming for "The Toon's". Kind of makes you think it's a good thing that our owner leaves footballing matters to those that know something, well....... about football. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59225679

    Che Adams

Absolutely agree.....I was saying it would be hilarious if they offered that......I'm not saying we would accept......nor should we. Thanks, but no thanks!

I get what you're saying, but I reckon you could add Palace and Leeds in there. And actually, I wouldn't rule West Ham out, who only really have Antonio as an out and out striker and and as they progress through Europe they may well need more cover. Moyes likes hard workers! Haha....and of course, if Danny Ings doesn't work out at Villa maybe they would want a "swap" deal for Che (only joking before you all jump down my throat!) Danny + ££££ for Che would be hilarious.

    Che Adams

Che is fast becoming a Scotland legend. I know there are people on here who think at best he is Championship level and only ever "scuffs" his goals, but for every goal he scores whether it be for us or Scotland, his value rises and that can only be good news for us. And he has the knack of hitting "Worldies" as well. Congrats Che!
