He clearly has talent. Watch him when the forwards are being put through their routines against a keeper at the end of the warm up. His accuracy and scoring rate far exceeds that of everyone else taking part in the drills, including Gabbiadini. At pace and with either foot, he beats the keeper most times and puts the likes of Long, JayRod and Tadic to shame. The difficulty is obviously that he fails to do so in games, which is down to coaching, composure and decision making, so hopefully something that will be addressed. Easier to address these things than try to develop raw goal scoring talent in a player who doesn't have it.

His target is regular European football, CL within 5 years if one we can take advantage of a big club(s) slipping up, and winning cups. I guess his bonus is aligned with that too. For a club our size that is pretty ambitious; compare with Stoke for example, who hold a champagne party when they hit 40 points as that's their definition of success and ambition. Each year it gets harder for us, esp with FFP; plus the balance of power lies with players/agents not clubs (unless you are one of the big 4) and agents unsettle our better players all the time. Criticise on facts and performance, not stuff you know **** all about.

My comment about Pogba was more to do with his ability as a player, linked to what I said about Spuds having learnt not to pay galatico fees for players who aren't galaticos. He's worth nowhere near that sort of money, so IMO splashing out £100M for him is mental. Messi maybe, but not Pogba. But anyhow, off topic of this thread.

Our "weight" is now a top 8 club - the club act in this way, and it's a shame some of our fans can't move on too. As for Koeman, I can't remember any comments about us not having ambition and if I remember, he was keen to stay here - can't be all that bad here eh? I think we show plenty of ambition (CL in 3-5 yrs?) but are doing it in the correct way. Ambition isn't about splashing out stupid sums of money - over £100M for Pogba FFS?? Mental. .
