  1. And we are about to bring in some very good new ones.
  2. Come on Bazza, you can do better than that. Anyway, off to YouTube now for hours and hours of Ruddy's howlers.
  3. He can't - he just makes us negative shyte to try and show how important and knowledgeable he is. He is only second to Alpine in the morose dullard hall of fame; never a positive word to say - the appointment of the new GK coach is apparently "decent" - I'd say it is excellent to attract such a young and talented coach to our club!!!
  4. Well said (again). The strategy is to keep improving until such time as our top players don't feel the need to look elsewhere and we are making great strides in that direction, but aren't there yet. I think the debacle with the national team will help us; the top 4 clubs will not develop English players and will always go for expensive overseas imports because they have the cash to run their clubs that way. This will increasingly make clubs like Saints attractive options for home grown talent (and we are very good at producing home grown talent) as long as we continue to make progress and provide them with regular first team football and a chance of winning something and getting into Europe. We have to keep moving forward towards that position and I believe the Board have signalled their ambition to do just that. Comments about "more cash for Sir Les" are just plain bloody stupid.
  5. And Saint Charlie - what a miserable tedious bore he has become with his constant negative wumming. At least Alpine doesn't do that. Charlie and Alpine - our very own chuckle brothers.
  6. So why not bring him back if that were true?
  7. Should we be lolling at Mourinho?.....because he clearly doesn't.
  8. Are you Alpine's slightly less hysterical brother?
  9. Sorry but Mourinho really doesn't rate him at all and he doesn't "fit in" with their culture and approach. Last pre-season he was ordered to stay behind for shooting practice as he was so shyte. Source: one of their coaches who is a friend of mine.
  10. Best post of the evening.
  11. I think he's more than just an excellent pundit. Punditry just gives him a platform to speak. I think he is one of the few people who could translate his knowledge, experience and skill into the role of a manager/coach. Most pundits couldn't make the transition - they just talk the talk, whereas I think he is capable of becoming a very successful manager. Not going to happen realistically this time round though. Just my very humble opinion.
  12. Yes, add in G Neville and Ralf Rangnick (sp?) and it we will have brilliant options.
  13. My thoughts exactly. I think this would be a remarkably good outcome and would mean we can push on again.
  14. No he hasn't Glasgow.
  15. Ejaculate extremely prematurely.
  16. After a bit of reflection you will probably be hugely embarrassed by this post.
  17. Most of whom act like hysterical tarts and have backbones made of sponge pudding.
  18. But people on here were slating him as being slow, disinterested and past it last season. Next season he (IMO) would have become a bit-part player who we would have had to replace at the end of the year anyway. Given this, a reported 4M is bloody good business by the club. He has done so much for us but we have down so much for him too - if we had not taken him from Bristol Rovers I doubt he would have got anywhere near the England team. People have to take the emotion out of situations like this - doing that means this would be seen as very good for Saints IF the board have plans in place for a replacement and reinvest all monies wisely. At the moment it is just a big IF. Time will tell but from a footballing perspective you can see the logic in it......if it is true.
  19. A couple of pages back on this thread.
  20. And that is probably a good thing.
  21. That's great. These odds continual odds updates from you are really helpful. Thank you.
