My favourite Angus Gunn related memory was at Chelsea away when a small section of fans tried to start a Angus Gunn inspired Baby Shark chant. Some nutcase the complete other side of the away end was furious at this and went on a screaming tirade of how embarrassing it was and how we will never be respected as a fan base with supporters such as those.....

Was the clear MOTM in the Swansea game and we could of easily lost without him. Dread to think what the last few years would of been like if we had gone downso at least there is something to take out from his time here at Saints.
-
He was instrumental in everything Southampton did last Tuesday against Crystal Palace. Danny Ings and Che Adams may have got the goals that night but it is Ward-Prowse who makes my team. The Saints demolished the Eagles and then did the same to Fulham a few days later, with Adams, Nathan Tella and Theo Walcott scoring this time, and Ward-Prowse getting an assist. Ward-Prowse, in my opinion, has been Southampton's player of the season. They will do well to keep him. He's a Liverpool player if ever I saw one.

We must be the only team in Prem history to consistently rotate keepers every game.

Southampton 0-1 Leicester - Match Thread

Biggest game in years IMO - Swansea away & the cup final against United are the only games that can be considered more important than this one since we’ve been promoted back to the Prem. Still haunted by the Chelsea Semi - how the fuck did we not even sell out?!? I think we all knew it was a lost cause that day. Today feels different despite our shit 2021 form. Ralph will have them pumped up for this. Also wondering if we will see Ralph in a suit for the first time? -

Interesting to see what they define as local area - I assuming it will be local residents to Wembley so the HA postcode. Both us & Leicester have decent sized London supporters clubs so it would be nice if we could get a small allocation at least. Probably being a bit hopeful there... London Saints seem to have a good relationship with the club so I am hoping someone high up at Saints is trying to negotiate some tickets for us! -

How would all you southerners feel if they implemented this? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-9364339/Tickets-FA-Cup-final-Wembley-restricted-local-spectators.html -
JWP to win it in the 90th Beckham style with a 35 yard free kick. Big Fras to also complete his season 7 redemption arc making 22 saves and instantly earning himself another 6 year contract.

I have been racking my brain trying to think of previous times we have come from 2-0 down to win in an away game but cant think of any besides from that Preston game, can anyone else?
-
Mcgoldrick is a Legend. His 90th min winner away at Preston after being 2-0 down at HT is one of my fondest memories following Saints.

Anyone know the last player we signed directly from Arsenal?

Am I right in thinking that Rickie Lamberts only own goal game against Leicester when they did the double over us in the Championship promotion season? Anyway I am sure the commentators will mention it....

What Hockey are we talking about? Ice Hockey spit frequently onto the rink and it is allowed within rules. But yes I get your point. Some sports it is not practical to allow spitting. Obviously Basketball players are not allowed to spit onto the court as its wooden and would linger/make someone slip. It is allowed in Rugby however and they spit just as much as footballers do. On a grass pitch I assume most of the salvia is absorbed by the grass/soil?
-
A) Take it you don't play much football... I believe its a combination of exercise creating extra protein in the salvia alongside the consistent shouting making the mouth dryer. This then creates a thicker salvia than usual and thus is unpleasant/more difficult to swallow. B) How do you intend to regulate spitting on a football pitch? Do we have VAR cameras on every player to monitor their spitting activity? What happens when Pogba gets a 2nd yellow for spitting but there was 22 previous occasions of spitting in that game which did not get picked up? We could have all the players use some some sort of anti spitting muzzle.

Pretty sure Lallana & Crouch were covering a game on BT a few months ago. I remember thinking Lallana looked like a right idiot wearing some ridiculous turtle neck & blazer combo.

I find it surprising he's not got his own song. I do wonder if the players notice or get affected by these things. If I had been committed at a club for 6 years and played near 200 games and not got my own song Id probably feel quite hurt about it all. I'd probably even kick off when Id see someone like Lemina warming up mid game and getting more love from the fans than I've ever been shown . However, he's a multi-millionaire so I cant imagine it bothers him too much. Surely someone on here can think of something decent for him? Il start, To the tune of White Stripes - Seven Nations Army. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0J2QdDbelmY Ooooh Ryan Bertrand. Ooooh Ryan Bertrand. Repeat X5.

Channel 4 & ITV sales houses both advertise linear TV regionally so that would make sense. Southampton is in the south east region along with Pompey so would of been on TVs over there as-well. Due to work I have access to TV advertising data a week after it is aired on TV. Interested to see how much we are spending on this and where we are buying. Doubt anyone else will find it interesting but il post anything I find of note.

Didnt we play Southend away on a Friday night? We won 3-1 and lee Barnard scored against us?

A month ago or so I mentioned that Chelsea had gone in for Bednarek ( Self proclaimed ITK ). I was speaking to my source (a pal of mine) yesterday and was told that Chelsea weren’t willing to pay the fee required but that Saints are looking to sell him due to contract issues. He didn’t know anymore than that. Cant expect anyone to take that seriously due to me not having any credentials here but still think it’s worth mentioning for a discussion. Looked into his contract - signed a 5 year deal with 2 years left. Maybe he’s on a low wage? Hopefully somewhere else on here may have a better understanding of why there’s contract issues?
-
We’ve also seen Obafemi play out wide a few time’s this season, not his strongest position but he should be included when we consider our depth out wide.

Josh Sims?

Apologies - not sure why but I assumed this page was for the discussion of the new spurs doc. I was obviously wrong as the previous posts can only resemble a discussion for teenage girls to bicker about previous wrong doings on a Internet forum.

Any possibility we are being DDOS’d by Pompey?

I’ve ended up signing up to the Athletic because I’m fed up of going for a shit and having nothing to read due to this site never loading. My shits are pretty scheduled in my routine and the site seems to always go down around the times of 10:30 and 18:30.

From an away game perspective - We will all be definitely missing a few good ones at the start, Palace obviously, most likely Villa & Chelsea as well in October. Dont give a fuck about missing Burnley or Wolves. If we can get somehow get away fans back in full for December then 3 good trips to Brighton Arsenal & Fulham on boxing day. Last time we had Fulham on Boxing day ( 1-1 Lambert late pen) there was a tube strike and I had to get buses there and back from North London - was quicker for fans to get there on the train from Southampton. Feb is a shocker for away games - United, Newcastle & Everton in one month. Spurs end of March is good likewise with West ham last game of the season. Even Liverpool 2nd last away game looks okay if they manage to wrap the title up before then and play half drunk like they did this tail end of the season.
