Nice one Ron. We should be used to these rubbish starts to the season by now.. I can't recall any season where we have started well. I think Saturdays game might be the turning point for us.... with Hammond and not Wotton in the middle :-)

Perhaps thats due to us playing at home those games and our players prefer to save the best for St. Marys?

I agree Alpine. Ok our defence is struggling with set plays.. Thomas is getting back into the swing of things from a year out and Olli/Perry aren't anywhere near good enough but concidering 2 out of the 4 defenders are new and learning to play together you can understand that this area will most likely gel better. We are weak in midfield and have been for donkey years. Definitely needing some pace down the wings but not just lightweight but quick players. A midfield general is a must and I really do hope that Hammond is that character. Just a ball winner who can break down the play.

Great player in the making and is progressing to become that great player we all want him to be. Once his confidence has built up, hopefully he will take a few more players on. Keep it up Adam.

Might be more to do with the fact the kids have broken up for the summer and people have gone on holiday. Perhaps it might have been wise to have said post Ajax that new season ticket purchase this week would have got a free ticket to the Hearts game.

Saints are away to Farnborough on Monday 27th July by all accounts. I'll be there as its only down the road :-D

Watched the directors cut of Watchmen on blu-ray (its not available in the uk yet but thankfully the US blu-ray is region free). 3 hours long and fantastic. I felt the cinema release was a little rushed so this version has gone some way to correct that.

Perhaps Prutts has matured a little more since we last saw him play in the red 'n white. I'd be happy to have him come back.

At least we won the 2nd half 4-2. Its a start I suppose ;-)

It might be a good thing losing all the pre-season friendlies.... we won most of them last pre-season and looked what happened to us. Perhaps its going to be the opposite this season ??? (clutching at straws!)

Really excited about the new season and I'm looking forward to going through all the emotions that watching Saints play put me through. I think the only thing that will dampen my spirits is that my seat is alittle bit too near the pitch and not so much under cover for when it rains... but as long as we win that damp day.. who cares! :-D

It was the first game ever I've left early.... but when your 2 year old has had enough... its time to go! Good to be back though and I can't wait for the start of the season.
