  3. Mickey Fialka?
  4. Thank god...I thought I'd slipped into a coma
  5. I second that emotion... although she has a website now and she sounds a bit mental, read her short story about a lion and a glove... http://www.wendyhurrell.com/
  6. hopefully FIFA have seen their squirming for what it is, and has chosen to act this way to ensure that they can't use a negative response as an excuse...still can't see much way out for them...only saggychops could possibly want to help them and even his board must be getting a bit wary...
  7. probably elsewhere on the site, but more good PR from the new crew... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8505269.stm
  8. I met a Dutch girl with inflatable shoes last week, phoned her up to arrange a date but unfortunately she'd popped her clogs. ooops wrong thread
  9. Oh dear god
  10. that'd be a great signing, have heard that he still loves the club, and I know his girlfriend's family live locally
  11. ooops sorry...do we like the rosey-cheeked man these days?
  12. woot - first game of the season for me - still taking along 'Lowe Out' banners etc??
  13. where are all those Southend fans from the play-off season when you need them?
  14. bit late, but Matt oakley scored the other goal...
  15. I laughed.
  16. Two that spring to mind for me are Beattie's goal against West Brom in 2003 (?) when the ball had clearly gone out earlier in the move...and I'll always remember Kevin Philips' dive for that penalty at home to Wolves the next season (?) when Uriah Rennie gave it...
  17. You're thinking of Russ Watkinson...I seem to recall he was a midfielder but only saw him play once I think so who knows...
  18. I had Forecast play upfront for me this morning, and he scored...won on penalties against Blackpool in the cup...result!
  19. Think Dixon and Speedie were first year of prem and Maskell was around in 1994 - scored against Pool on Valentine's day that year...
  20. we definitely played towards the Northam first half that day...think it was only 1-0 at half time as well
  21. If it wasn't for the swine flu today would have been my first game of the season...come on Saints, make me feel really miserable for missing it by winning well
  22. something that presumably the 'clueless' Alan Pardew has identified too judging by the purchase of Dean Hammond...
  23. is there a risk that Lambert might try and take him to Norwich at the last minute? What are their midfield options like? (just before I get too excited at this Saints buying players we need shocker)
  24. In the 1993-94 season I was awarded the Junior Saint of the Month award and was due to be presented with my silver plate or something on the pitch at half time in a home match against Newcastle...the awards were normally presented by players not in the squad, so I was very exciteable in the week building up to the match because Le God was being left out at the time....Imagine my disappointment to turn up and find that he was back in the team - although that soon changed when he went on to score the two 'goals of the season'...I think that Neil Heaney presented the prize in the end although my memory may be playing tricks...
