  1. Arsenal 3 - 1 SH (SH with Bednarek with his current non-qualitiy), Arsenal 1 - Southampten 2 (without Bednarek with his ...) In German one writes the results in a different way.
  2. By delaying own attacks ...
  3. Arsenal vs. SH - with Bednarek 3-1, without him 1-2.
  4. But the last goals happend on Bednarek's side ...
  5. Yes, but RH does not buy finished items, he buys/borrows players he can develop to higher standard.
  6. i have no realistic hope to see Danso soon. Maybe he is too fast for our defense or too physical and so does not fit into the line .. (ironic)
  7. No Bednarek, he is a liability in the moment. No marking of men, only marking empty space. A few savings per match but that is what is expected from a CB at least. Remember last game when he was sort of hiding behind the other CBs although we had the ball. Sorry, should not be in the squad right now.
  8. plus Bednarek ...
  9. Exactly!
  10. Bringing in the right men could make a difference in 2nd half. If not, foget it.
  11. Watch Bednarek "defending" the goal ... Behaves like an Everton player ...
  12. I had a look in RHs coaching history. In 2015/2016, around that time, he coached an underdog in Bundesliga. His team had just ascended from the league below. He didn't change the team, because he said, all the men deserve to play in First Bundesliga and they got 11th or so at the end. When they lost then it was normally with only 1 goal difference, even when playing against Bayern München, coached by Pep Guardiola! So that is the claim of RH and not "only" 4 or 6 goals difference. I think his target is to take a draw on Saturday. I know the hope dies last.
  13. I think it will be the same team as on Tuesday second half, more or less. Seems they are on their way back, with more confidence now, hopefully. If we can defend a 0-0 for a while, our attackers will get more courage.
  14. I do not think MC had their foot off the gas in second half. Their players were not so familiar with each other. So, in 2nd half, when our confidence rose, one could see that MC was not so good. I didn't have the impression that MC with their playing team could give much more in second half.
  15. I agree. And the defense of MC was not so good, we can score a goal or another on Saturday. LB of us is an issue, easy to pass by, similar on the right side, but Danso could help out there.
  16. Danso did well today on his usual position. Should always play.
  17. Better. Confidence was higher second half.
  18. Other teams bring in 19 years old men/boys - and they play good! Other teams are proud of their 19/20 years old players, why not SH? RH had 10months time to train and drill the youngsters so they should be ready. Djenepo is only 21 and everybody here is eager to see him playing.
  19. The first minutes in Manchester will be suspenseful for me: 1) Which men are on the pitch? The same like Friday with new dedication? If 8 new men, how will they perform? 2) Will they really fight, whoever plays? 3) What happens after an early goal? Shocked like on Friday? Showing resiliance? 4) In the first minutes, will they defend as silly as on Friday or act like professionals? I am looking forward. Real suspense. I hope I find a stream.
  20. I do not pay Euro 20,- each month to SKY to see such a garbage like last Friday. I started to pay for SKY as I wanted to watch Southampton because I was a fan of RH's style to play. Fast, fights, never giving up, running 95 minutes. A kind of spectacle almost each match. These virtues are gone. It seems to me that there is over-sophistication and the basics are gone. RH should enforce again these basics attitudes. You need not to have an outstanding team to take a draw in Manchester when the team you have fights like lions. Not always nice to see but entertaining and effective. Even the team of last Friday can be successful if they decide or are compelled to decide to run and fight like they proved already in last season.
  21. I am not sure about Bednarek. I saw some goals over and over of the last games and in severals of them he played a passive role, fixating the ball like a lion but not seeing that 2 other players were unmarked etc. or just watching the scene without any action. Maybe I am not total fair but this is my impression of him. The output he produced can be achieved by a youngster as well.
  22. i agree. There have to be some visible signs or visible discipline-actions, e.g. put in ambitious youngsters in Manchester whatever the score will be. RH often in interviews told us that he is not afraid sending youngsters on the pitch. So I do expect this. Please not again and again Gunn, Valery, Bednarek, Yoshida, Vest in this combination - they got 9 goals! I think there are many of young players in defense and midfield now waiting for their chance and they should deserve playing time.
  23. Yes of course, in the long and medium range run.
  24. Seems somehow true. RH's obvious idea to achieve a fast goal within the first minutes somehow and then defend the win over 90 minutes as a sole stragety is poor, even when one has the chances for more goals through constant pressing. This can work sometimes, but only with a more than stable defense. Maybe the guys are overcoached and do not know what to do ...
  25. Sorry, whatever is "behind the scene" or any other non-optimum circumstance - the BASICS how a defense operates should be in use at ANY time. I follow RH and his teams since years. All his teams fighted till the end even when it became a dirty match. What RH saw yesterday was 0% of his ideas how his team should operate. A few weeks ago we could not make one goal although fighting against 10 man (Tottenham) and now we get 9 ??? As the team shows nothing of the expected qualities RH usually demands, there are two possibilities. 1) He does not reach the team anymore, that would be bad or 2) he has the wrong team for his style. Then he has to invent a system that suits to the current quality of the squad.
