Start of the 04/05 season I played Golf at the Forest of Arden & stayed in the Marriott hotel on the course. After the round I was wandering round to reception when team coach pulled up. We were playing Villa next day. Had a great chat with quite a few of the players. Beats didnt really want to know but Crouchie, Telfer, Anders & Paul Smith were all top blokes and happy to chat.

Easily Bobby Moore by a country mile.

Not sure if its been mentioned earlier as I only scanned the thread but while a logo free shirt is a great gesture to the fans, I personally wouldn't have an issue if the owners followed the lead of Aston Villa (Acorns) by having a local well deserving cause on the shirt such as Naomi House. Complete admiration for Randy Lerner at Villa for promoting this. Again sorry if been mentioned elsewhere

Remember being in there before the Villa game just after our move to St Mary's. I think it was football focus who interviewed a couple of the Sisa guys & they asked us to play pool in the background.

Fratton Park in April 76. Was only 10 & went down there with a mate & his Dad. Channon sent them down to the old Div 3 if I remember correctly. First home was Channon's testimonial straight after the cup win. Hooked ever since.

Guys, seriously, Saints would be bottom of Malcolm's list, we have to move on. We are now a league one club, the chances of attracting major talent is almost zero. Remember, I think it was Malcolm & Huw who enticed Theo from Swindon. We are in the same league now, we arenot a major player on the academy scene anymore. To me the future of Saints academy are guys like Dave Puckett, the guy bleeds Red & White. I cant think of anybody more appropriate to step up to the senoir academy role than Dave. However, maybe I am biased, I think Dave is as much Saints as Tiss. Different level granted.

The academy started going backwards when Huw, Georges & Malcolm left. They were never replaced with comparable quality. I believe that Huw is now at Fulham as Academy Director, it would not surprise me to see Malcom join him. Chances of coming back to Southampton imo are zero (unfortunately)

Embarrassed to stand in a pub in Chandlers Ford & call myself a Saints Fan. To those of you that went I applaud you & what you feel for this club. You truely deserve our utmost respect. Those that call you mugs, well we dont need you !!!!!

England mean as much to me as Saints do, I am an England+ member & Saints season ticket holder. I LOVE them both equally, It's like asking me to choose which of my children I love more ? I dont they get the same amount of attention & love. I was at the game yesterday, I have only seen 1 or 2 comments as I got back late last night & have just surfaced. Cole's booing was an absolute disgrace. 5-1 is a good win no ? I have been asked the question, Saints win the league or England win the world cup ? Which do I want ? I want both !!!!

Park at Richmond. if you get there after 2 ish the max you will pay is £6 parking. Catch an overground train to Willesden Junction, change & get the tube to Wembley. Easiest & best way in & out. As someone already mentioned, bit of a nightmare getting out if you leave at full time but I use this all the time for England games.
