The financial situation at the club isnt good and you could work that out youself and look at the recent accounts. In theory we must be around a good £90M in debt, which wouldnt be that bad if we didnt buy players that are now out on loan. It was clear after he won the Euros, that he wanted to get a move to another club and get some 'big money' before retiring.
