  1. A great listen as always but is there any chance that Lucy Highnett can actually complete a whole sentence without using the "kind of" or "kind a". She says it all the time and it really grates after a while.
  2. Having watched what has been happening in recent weeks I do wonder if there is a problem in the way the club is handling players, and that is costing us results. It's all very well side-lining a player because they have broken the rules or perhaps has not been as focussed as Ralph would like. To then drop players and play others out of position is very odd and weakens us even more than we already are. Surely the most important thing is to field our strongest team with everyone playing where they best fit, no matter what is going on behind closed doors. Issues, if there are any, should be dealt with once the match is finished. I find it hard to believe that we have a lot of disciplinary issues in our squad, to the point where it is forcing re-deployment of players into unnatural positions.
  3. Which is black and white...
  4. He ate Tottenham supporters for breakfast and even the match coppers left him alone. As a 15/16 year old, you felt quite safe with him at matches.
  5. I got stung by a hornet on the IOW and I ended up with a pure white patch on my head a few months later. I remember Dougal wetting himself laughing and he called me 'Badger' which seemed to stick. Those were great days and even though we were always struggling in the league there was a hardness about the team and none of this corporate rubbish there is these days. Anyway, it would be a pleasure to meet up with anyone from back then. Hoping tonight goes well and we well and truly stuff the rabble down the road.
  6. Thanks for that. I'll have to look it up.
  7. My first post here, having been a lurker for a couple of years. I was one of the younger ones at the Milton Road end and got to know Dougal when he picked me up off the deck after an Arsenal fan brained me with a glass bottle. I somehow became one of the lads and had lots of fun at home and away matches. I loved the Dell and have recently gone to St Mary's as a carer for my best mate who is unfortunately confined to a wheelchair. Anyway, I'm pleased to hear Dougal is still alive and kicking. Does he go to St Mary's?
