  1. Depends how you define top target. If it is the biggest signing then no, Perraud is bigger. If it is the player who is best suited for the role we are buying them for (ie back up fullback with potential to develop) then yeah, it's a tremendous signing and I think Ralph appreciates that.
  2. No, there was a pedantic argument about the definition of "opinion", now SKD is here to moan about Ralph. Standard stuff.
  3. There is no way Bednarek has regressed, he used to be benched for Hoedt. I think he may have been with us a bit longer than those 4 months, will have to check the calendar though
  4. For me JWP, Bednarek, Vest, Armstrong, Romeu, and Ings have all unquestionably gone forwards. Can't think of anyone who has regressed, Redmond maybe? But he was always a bit crap and had arguably one good season with us total.
  5. SKD I'm not sure people in this thread will be thrilled to replace one tedious conversation with another! Sorry, why don't you just change your display pic to a picture of Ralph with a big red X through it, would save on the typing!
  6. I think it is unlikely to be a faked injury considering what we have heard from Blackmore, Leach et al. If the club were looking to sell they probably wouldn't have referred to the first offer as derisory and be leaking how truly unavailable JWP is through the press. If JWP was looking to force his way out I doubt he would be at the Swansea and Cardiff games sitting directly next to Ralph with the coaches getting involved in encouraging the team and the like, probably would be at home or at Staplewood on his own.
  7. Apparently very doubtful, he has a knee problem. Don't think they are being overly secretive. The knee problem cropped up about 10 days ago, so it's not that unusual it would still be bothering him.
  8. Can we go back to arguing over whether Livramento is an insane signing or just a very good signing? That was a lot more wholesome and had a lot fewer nasty personal insults.
  9. Speak for yourself
  10. A testament to the great coaching of Ralph, took an average attacking mid and turned him into a top tier double pivot. Did a similar thing with Keita IIRC

    2021/22 Kit

I like the kit, but have to say I prefer our third kit
  12. He was a very decent asset last season. I never grabbed him as he overperformed xG like crazy and I kept thinking he'd revert to the norm, but he never did. Got to have faith in the free kick king.
  13. Probably yeah. To be honest I think JV is nailed on to leave. We might run down Ings' contract as he's so important but no chance we do that with two players imo
  14. The future is coming, keep up or get out the way! Always rated Matt Oakley.
  15. He's £4.0m, could unironically be a good buy if KWP gets injured.
  16. That's absolutely nuts! Is it just a pay dispute or are they protesting something else?
  17. Haha excellent. I needed to trust the stats more personally. I knew Bruno was overperforming but didn't have the confidence to drop him. Tanked my rank at the end.
  18. That's probably it! Thanks, the guy who got me into NFL was also a big pro wrestling guy.
  19. Think I finished 17th in the end so you beat me! Anyone starting with any saints this year? I have romeu as my midfield bench filler.
  20. Then I am very wrong! 😅 Must be misremembering something, maybe they were denied legal protection to do industrial action or something.
  21. Hopefully we reject this quickly too. Don't want JWP distracted by this.
  22. Little difference between calling someone an exciting signing and saying they "will be perfect". Don't think any player ever is guaranteed to be perfect, does perfection even exist? Who knows? Question for the philosophers.
  23. Don't use that word around Duckhunter, you'll set him off
  24. Does complimenting JWP summon you? Like the bat signal?
  25. I think legally speaking they operate less as employers-employees and more as contractors with exclusivity clauses. It's certainly the case for NFL players as they can't legally unionise. Players can unionise in this country, as we have less draconian union laws but I think the terms of contractual interaction are similar.
