I give my opinions, sometimes backed up by facts. Sometimes the opinion may be wrong, although I stand by we should have signed a first choice cb rather than a rotation option who plays his best football in a system we rarely use, but they are all just opinions.
-
It came at him fast, so good reflexes. For me the pick of them was his save from Smith-Rowe, the ball looked almost behind him. He had another recently like that too but they are just phenomenal saves. I don't want to overreact and say he should start next season but it's worth appreciating just what an incredible game it was.

I realise it doesn't cover me in glory either so I am making a conscious effort not to take the bait anymore. Cant always promise it'll work as I am an easy mark but I'll do my best!
-
Yeah, takes different tactics to beat an Arsenal and a Burnley
-
Yeah I'd probably go back to the 4222.
-
Difficult choice for team, you don't change a winning side but I don't think we need an extra defender and one striker against Burnley. Will be interesting to see what we do.
-
It's hard to draw conclusions, I think they both have their strengths. I think we have better ball progression with Tino and he is a better presser but Perrauds overlapping runs and crossing is really dangerous. I think our best option is to play them situationally based on opposition.

Yep, was a class display. His biggest over performance of the season.
-
His xG prevented was 1.34, earned his wage today!
-
Important not to be too reactionary about this I guess. Forster has had good spells before before falling back into mediocrity. His form following his injury comes to mind. Would still be unhappy going into next season with Forster and McCarthy but if we can have Forster as our cup keeper/second keeper and a new guy we'd have some very good options.
-
Perraud played in the losses to Villa and Watford so I don't think it's that simple.
-
I thought it was a 343 with Stu on the right and Ely on the left. Hard to say as we didn't do much attacking. A real victory for the defence.
-
We'll see. There may be a world where we keep Forster and try to shift Macca. He doesn't need to be released to leave. Might be able to send him to the Championship on a free if his new deal isn't too high wage.

Massive reaction! Really good. Thought we still lacked something going forward but at the back were fantastic. Massive credit for Ralph remodelling that defence from the Chelsea one last week. Man of the match is Forster by some distance, he was so so good.
-
He's really making a case for himself, today was amazing.
-
Last week was fuming about the lack of motivation. Ralph did exactly what he needed, dropped some underperformers, brought in some lads with something to prove and it paid off. You love to see it.
-
Valery has been pretty good at RCB to be fair and Salisu has had a number of woeful games recently
-
Not our strongest team but with the lack of motivation last game its good to see players who have something to prove. 3atb is probably wise given Salisu has been poor and Valery/Lyanco both prefer a 3. AA would have be nice to see but Broja is definitely more appropriate as a lone forward.
-
True, but also I know a few Huddersfield fans and they are a good fanbase from what I've seen.
-
Would like to see Huddersfield in the prem again, they are a good side.
-
Good shout that. Would fit well.

I need to stop responding, certain posters will reference old conversations in any context.

Yeah I'm supporting Palace, moving away from another chat about Howe.

Money isn't guaranteed success. It depends how good the manager is (and quality of recruitment), one who overperforms spending is good, one who doesn't is bad. Thats why Poch and Koeman ended up at PSG and Barca and Puel and MP ended up failing and dropping to much smaller teams than us. Football is ruled by money, ignoring that is just silly.

Read my previous posts, this conversation has happened about a million times. Compare money spent to league positions achieved. You'll get there on your own.
