  1. I think Armstrong needs to get confidence and play his way into form. Given Broja might as well not be on the pitch at the moment as he barely gets a touch might as well give him a go.
  2. When a striker has done fuck all in 9 games it's not hard to find negatives.
  3. He's far far to limited. No big club wants a striker who can't pass, gets lost against average opposition, and has dry spells like Broja has.
  4. We are a one man team attacking and that man is our 3rd top scorer? How does that work?
  5. Neither is good enough for a big club.
  6. The fact that Armstrong is getting chances whereas it's easy to forget Broja is on the pitch maybe suggest which should start. Other players have been getting chances so it's not like we aren't making enough, it's just Broja is a complete non entity.
  7. Yeah yes young, but we are a competitive team we need to play players who help us win games and right now he isn't. It's all very well saying he will improve but if we want to win games he has to improve now. None in 9, three in 17 isn't good enough.
  8. My solution is this season doesn't matter so play Armstrong/Tella to see if either are up to it and then take the rumoured £25m we have budgeted for Broja and look elsewhere.
  9. It's somewhat generous to include goals from an 8-0 battering of drastically inferior opposition. In the league Che is definitely outperforming him and Che hasn't been great either.
  10. Armstrong has been selected over all 3 this season too. Its situational. Smallbone didn't start up front. Let's see who starts at Chelsea. Armstrong aside, surely even you must admit Broja was awful today and hasn't been good for a fair while. 3 goals in 17 games isn't good enough. 6 goals this season in general is nothing to write home about.
  11. He's not abysmal, but 3 goals in 17 games is, as is not scoring in his last 9 games.
  12. You're right 3 in 17. Still abysmal. He has been completely anonymous for weeks.
  13. Thank god JWP can score because our forwards sure can't. Poor miss from Adams but atleast had a chance Broja another game completely anonymous. 3 goals in 18 games now. Livramento, KWP, Diallo, Salisu all played well.
  14. Don't love that line up, doesn't feel like it has much creativity. We need another 10 in the summer.
  15. Yeah seems unlikely Newcastle will be in for another forward in that price bracket. They have Wilson and Wood, the next striker they buy I imagine will be a big spend on a £50m statement signing.
  16. No thanks, we'd be one spot lower in the league Be nice to see Newcastle go down though.
  17. We still on this? Is misremembering a leftback as a rightback a particularly big error? Not as egregious as predicting us to finish bottom I would say...
  18. I agree with most of this. Foden and Mount might edge out Grealish and Bellingham but there really isn't much in it. If he gets fit I think Calvert-Lewin should be Kanes back up but he will need to get fit and find his form again.
  19. I don't mind 5 subs. Should increase the quality of football with more fresh legs and also encourage tactical changes rather than holding onto the subs incase of injuries.
  20. International windows do that to the brain. We'll be back to normal after getting beaten by Leeds I'm sure!

Not wrong. Football and money are inextricably linked and complaining about it is pretty pointless. Still feels good to have a moan sometimes when something like the Newcastle takeover happens.
  22. Now Ralph will actually need to use subs. Time to try out our new found squad depth.
