I don't know why people find this so hard to grasp, if someone says "comfortably the worst player to 'play' for us since we came back up" they mean he is worse than EVERY player we have had since we came back up. That includes championship players who followed us up, loanees to deal with injury, youth stars who couldnt make the step up, everyone. Given this, it is fine to compare to people like Fox in response. Try engaging your brain for a moment and actually grasping the context of a comment before you make stupid takes.

I was responding to you saying "comfortably the worst player to 'play' for us since we came back up", therefore you made the comparison between him and everyone else who has played for us since coming up. If I point out someone who has been worse since we have come up, like Fox, then that is a fine response to the original point. How well he did in the championship and his original price is irrelevant with regards to your statement, which is wrong. Secondly, he is much better than Fox was, and has a lot more to his game than Carrillo and hasn't cost us nearly as many points as Hoedt. Again, he is trash, but people forget how many other truly terrible players we have had over the years since we got back to the prem.

Because we were discussing who was our worst player since returning to the prem. Why would I discount Fox, he was dreadful in the prem. Look up how many goals and assists Ely had before moving to a stronger league. I didn't make the comparison, I was directly responding to the assertion that Ely has been the worst, which is clearly wrong. I'm becoming increasingly convinced our depth at left back is from Djenepo as a wingback or Danso as a full back. Seems to be working ok so far.

Dunno if that's fair, he had a decent cross and wasn't a bad passer. He was no where near good enough but people forget the likes of Danny Fox far too easily. I'd even say he is better than Hoedt and Carrillo who cost a similar amount Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk

May be grasping at straws here but the Mail claims Hasenhuttl is unsure whether Redmond will play united on Saturday. You'd think if it was a serious injury he would be definitely ruled out for the weekend.

He's making fun of the fact you called Adams "Adam's"

I'd say we should use this game for 3 purposes: To get Adams a goal and some confidence, to bed Danso in as a CB, and to test Djenepo in a 3421 as a wingback as that seems to be our best formation. Given this I'd try: McCarthy Bednarek Danso Vestergaard/Yoshida Valery Romeu Armstrong Djenepo Obafemi Adams Boufal Gives a good chance to some players close to the starting 11 whilst also allowing our defence to have more pitch time to gel.

We need a striker, but Djenepo has looked insane in that left wing back position in the two times he's played it. I think the best lineup is: Gunn Vestergaard Danso Bednarek Valery JWP Hoj Djenepo Boufal Adams Redmond I think JWP over Romeu for now as 3atb is already very defensive and having Romeu in the middle is hamstringing our offensive capabilities with his poor negative passing. If we get a goal then we swap JWP to Rom, and Djenepo to Bertrand and defend our lead and hit them on the break.

Shows what a great manager RH is, excellent subs and good game plan. Some players look very off the pace like Hoj but you can't really blame him for that Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk

Wanyama had severe injuries and could barely play 90 minutes. He has also been very poor for a while. Finally he is 28 years old so in no way fits our profile. If he wasn't an ex-Saint fans wouldn't want to go anywhere near him. Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk

A lot of suggestions of Long, given the switch last week I'd say Obafemi is ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment. I would still start Ings personally as I think he does some excellent through balls, which the high Liverpool defence may struggle with, especially with tired legs. My suggested line up is Gunn Valery Yoshida/Danso bednarek bertrand Romeu hojberg jwp Adams. Ings. Redmond Drop the 3 atb as it invites pressure and bring in 3 battling midfielders in jwp Hoj and romeu and try to control the center of the park instead Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
