Wales double header to start preseason, hope we have better luck with our hotel situation!

Martinelli too. They are absolutely stacked.

I think it will be more nobody of a sufficient calibre is both interested in him and will promise him first team football. I think that's why we have always been quietly confident we'd hold him. From reports, he wants someone of United, City, Chelsea level and wants to be first choice which may be a little beyond him. He would be a great buy as back up for a club of that size or to start for Everton/West Ham/Leicester but he wants a bigger jump in order to leave us. I also think that if he's not in a front two he would be better as an inside forward than a 9, playing more of a Salah style role. Just my opinion on that one though.
-
True, but if he's good we can go with: Wo ho ho he's magic Perraud Never believe it's not so
-
Pair - Roe I think, rhymes with Pharaoh but with a P instead of a Ph.

Basically an announcement. Welcome Perraud!
-
Good move for him, will get a fair few minutes with their injuries and the fact they are in a bunch of cups, plus a long contract. Should be good for them too as he is a perfectly serviceable back up for a top side and is home grown.
-
Probably if there was some chance. Does point to the fact we don't expect him too. Especially since it is also 2 years since Che and they could easily of made something like this about him.
-
Mourinho was a Mendes man already, part of the reason why the got Doherty last summer. Seems like they are already deep into the Mendes machine, judging by their attempts to hire Gatusso and Fonseca who are also Mendes guys.
-
I wouldn't, but you could probably guess that.
-
Winks seems a far more appropriate signing for them. A level below JWP but perfectly acceptable midtable midfielder. Cantwell would be a poor buy.
-
I suppose the argument is succeeding in 2005-7 isn't the same as being a decent manager in 2021. A lot of fans think he is washed up since his last couple of jobs were fighting relegation/in the championship with Newcastle and a midtable side in the Chinese league. I think Everton fans have delusions of grandeur and he is a perfectly serviceable if uninspiring midtable manager and they are a perfectly serviceable if uninspiring midtable club.

Can't see Chelsea having as their alternative to one of the young fullbacks in the world a guy who doesn't start half the games for atalanta. Seems like the old formula of "guy does well in euros, link him to any club who are in the market for his position" rumour while his name is famous and in the news. Could be wrong but I think this is unlikely.

Tella is much much less effective at CAM for me. We need someone as good as Stuart Armstrong at CAM as our chance creation numbers are dreadful. IMO Tella only really looks good up top. I thought the same about Adam Armstrong but Leach has said he plays comfortably anywhere across the front 4 and he has said as such himself so I don't know if him as a 10 counts as out of position. Can't be sure though as I have watched him a grand total of 0 times.
-
All the potential to be a great signing, and with Vardy aging its the perfect opportunity to not drop him in at the deep end but to slowly get him used to the league as they transition from Vardy to Daka. Very clever work.
-
Cancelo and Ndombele have turned it around pretty well this season. I agree with the overall point though.
-
I think if we retain Ings we don't need another striker. Ings and Adams are a great pair with Tella available as backup as well as 10s who can play that role. Speaking of such, if Armstrong can truly play anywhere in the front 4 he will be a perfect signing for us, definitely need a new 10 though if we don't get him. Agree that Bednarek is fine for a club of our size, not inspiring but perfectly serviceable starting CB. A good window for me would see us sign Perroud, Williams, Armstrong, a new keeper and a back up fullback who is young and cheap. If we sell Vest then add a CB to that, be nice if they are good enough to start alongside Salisu but not essential as Bednarek is probably fine. New GK (Macca) KWP(new RB) Vest (Stephens) Salisu (Bednarek) Perraud (Williams) JWP (Smallbone) Romeu (Diallo) Armstrong (Walcott) Armstrong (Djenepo) Ings (Tella) Adams (Redmond) Would be two for every position as requested and a strong starting 11.

Awful appointment, that has to reduce our chances of relegation. They need a full team rebuild and they are handing the keys to someone who has next to no experience or track record. Very risky.
-
I don't get this, he just signed a new deal and has 4 years left on his contract, why does he need another one to not be sold?

I get that, but he is 27, in the final year of his contract (I very much doubt he'll sign another), and we have three other players ahead of him in his position. This is the apex of his value and if we don't sell now we are paying £5m atleast to have a 4th choice midfielder for 1 year when we have promising youth in that position. It just doesn't make sense to keep him at all for me, but we can probably get more than £5m.
-
Best I can remember was Liverpool AC Milan in the CL final 2005. This is certainly one of the best games I've seen in a few years though.
-
Lemina did have a good season at Fulham, I think we could probably push them a bit higher, to 7 or 8 mil maybe. We all want him gone, obviously, but he isn't completely valueless or prem sides wouldn't be in for him.
