  1. My weekend has already started, as I finished work at 15:40, and I'm not back in until 09:30 on Tuesday. So: Tonight: Currently travelling up to Derby. Will be stopping at Ikea in Coventry on the way. Friday: Nice lie-in at hotel, shopping in Derby whilst hubby is at office on Pride Park, out to Old Orleans or Frankie & Benny's for meal in t'evening. Saturday: Another nice lie-in, check out of hotel and meander over to the pub, Saints v Derby, travel back to So'ton. Sunday: Watch European GP, out to Victoria Country Park (subject to weather) Monday: Bugger all. Hurrah.
  2. Eugh. I also work with someone who can't keep their gob shut when they eat. Thankfully, I can ensure I'm never on lunch at the same time as him. The joys of management.
  3. Damn, I've just checked (as I've finally got around to sorting out my renewal/replacement) and I do actually have the correct date on there. Must have just been a previous quote I tried it on. Therefore all quotes I have on confused.com, where I've had a full licence for 6 months and two years no claims, are perfectly legit and prices are valid. There are some insurers that won't quote due to the licence length and NCB length, but most have. Ah well. Who cares. I still have cheaper insurance: Elephant renewal price = £401.92 Esure new policy price = £279.40 Go me.
  4. Get the Tocco. I have one. It's great.
  5. The Brunswick on Railway Terrace is the other option on the pub front.
  6. :d:d (FFS, sort the emoticons out guys!!!)
  7. 3 down when I departed, with a few minutes left.
  8. The Feeling (live At V Festival)
  9. The only reason Rebecca Adlington won anything is because of her fin-like nose.
  10. I'm more than aware of the season ticket holder situation, and yes, it would still work if you take rebates into account. The other option of course is to give them a nice little discount when renewing next year, to compensate for the match day ticket reductions this year. Still keeps the current revenue from season ticket sales this year, and at a very nice price would encourage a high percentage to renew next year.
  11. Latest additions: Tube Status (does exactly what you might imagine it to) Cookie Bonus Solitaire (don't bother, I'm looking to replace it asap, there must be a normal version of Solitaire out there) Moonlight Mahjong Lite (great game, considering upgrading to paid version) Tris (nice Tetris, and it's free)
  12. The four point plan to keeping the corners open and making money: Reduce ticket prices. Get more people in on same ticket revenue. More people there to spend money on refreshments, in club shop, etc. Overall increase in revenue. Rocket science, it is not. Financial sense, much more like it.
  13. Christ alive, two games in and the vultures are circling already... hilarious. I was at Cardiff last week, we didn't play badly. By the sound of the commentary, we didn't do so today either. Yes, we can say same old, history repeating, etc (playing well and losing, conceding last minute goal), but these boys aren't all the same who have contributed to that previously, and they need to be given a chance. A couple of months down the line, and if the same is happening, every single game, then we need to be looking at alternative plans of action. Until then, let's just see how we go. Both games have actually been relatively good performances, despite the results - this will no doubt prompt the "good performances without points don't win the league" reaction from some, but we seriously cannot have expected an awful lot more from these two games taking the level of the opposition into account. Anyway, the results will come, soon. Just give 'em a chance...
  14. Was that supposed to be ironic? Scrap that, just seen your second post. Balls. Come on Saints.
  15. Woo. Sounds pretty positive from Solent. Bearing in mind the strength of Brum's team, and our relative weakness in comparison, if we can keep it this way we'll have done ourselves incredibly proud. C'mon boys.
  16. Tonight: Been to hubby's parents, unable to do much else as I've put my back out, so just off for a bath and then try to sleep Saturday: Work 10-2, bit of shopping, home to get ready for night out in Winchester for ex-colleagues leaving do. Sunday: Lie-in, take parents to docks to board their holiday cruise ship, back home to chill and do stuff.
  17. Err, we walked from the ground to the pub, same as you did. AND it only took us five minutes to get back to the car park from the pub. So there, pizza boy.

    Funeral

Not sure whether ours is a/the legal requirement, but for my part timers it's 1/5th of their contracted weekly hours.
  19. The signs said it did, but it was well and truly open at 22:00 when we walked past it. We ended up parking in Summerfield car park instead, also nice and close, and open 'til 02:00.
  20. Hate - no. Dislike with a passion - damn right.
  21. Too tired? More like that Strawberry pop has muddled your brain.
  22. Really? Who the heck are you!?
  23. Impressive, nice to see consistency. Completely understandable that Killer gets rested.
  24. Mills also got a pretty good review in The Sun. Funny as - Derby drop a division and are still unable to play football. Watch their comeback start in two weeks time. Buggers.
  25. Jammy gits. Saying that, I got a taxi from town to The Lansdowne, then walked the rest of the way. And then walked all the way back to town afterwards too.
