  1. Awesome, was going anyway, but this is very welcome news indeed.
  2. I made a long car journey. AND I had to play catch up. That should count for something! Wilko shouldn't be allowed any more anything. Though t'was amusing watching him walk out of the pub with drink still in hand. Wilko - whatever did happen to the glass!?
  3. I *think* we just made kick-off. Just.
  4. Bearing in mind I was on the M40 on Friday night, not Saturday, I think you might be telling porkies.
  5. Hmm, one wonders who you might be aiming that one at... ;-)
  6. I can't believe you didn't bring the vodka for me.
  7. For accounts issued by an Irish institution, but available in the UK, it used to be that the Irish government would cap at Euro 20,000, and the UK government would make up the difference up to £35,000. Now, Irish government caps at Euro 100,000. Even for accounts in the UK. Therefore, they are better than UK accounts looked after solely by UK government. Sorry!
  8. Yep, good shout Steve. Worth mentioning it also has parking available.
  9. Bah humbug.
  10. Our food was really quick, and we ordered quite late on too!
  11. Fri: Drove to Nottingham, stayed in hotel. Nice. Sat: Got forced to get up at 10am by phone ringing. Started drinking whilst travelling to Donny. Went to pub, got lost going to another pub. Had lunch in pub, had food thrown at me, threw chips around. Drunkenly watched Saints win. Back to Nottingham, chillax for a couple of hours then out for meal and cokctails. (Damn word filter.) Sunday: Went to Ikea, bought stuff for office. Drove back to So'ton. Watched Singapore GP qualifying and race. Cracking weekend. Much needed after week of crap. 9.7/10.
  12. Don't I bloody know it - on both counts! I was completely over compensating on the way back last night - knew for a fact there was no-one behind me, no headlights in sight, yet I still checked. The shock of the whole thing didn't really set in until this morning, worst thing now is that I keep getting flashbacks which send me all cold and shivery, makes me realise just how incredibly lucky I was.
  13. Missing a car in your blind spot, or the 360?
  14. Probably because Ferarri get penalised once in a blue moon, and others seem to regularly, and in a number of cases unecessarily. Not that I don't agree with what you're saying. I just happen to hate Ferarri! How's things looking for this weekend from your perspective?
  15. Car insurance - £350 Coventry tickets - £100 Car loan - £315
  16. Something you want to share with us Andy?
  17. 4 year old Fiesta. Went to overtake from middle lane and completely failed to see a car in my blind spot (they sure as hell call it that for a reason, as was proved to me yesterday) until I'd started pulling out, and I was right alongside it in the outside lane. Panicked, steered away a bit too quickly and for some stupid reason (well, seems stupid now, but at the time I thought I was gonna hit the car I was going to overtake) hit the brakes. At one point I was looking at the central reservation while my car was travelling sideways across the two lanes. Eventually ground to a halt straddled across the outside lane and central reservation - though I was pointing the right way, which I was quite stunned at! Even more impressively, and I'm still at a loss as to how it wasn't much worse - I didn't hit anything, and nobody hit me. Ended up with all three lanes stopped whilst I got over to the hard shoulder - funnily enough I didn't drive the next leg of the journey, though I did drive a bit again last night on the way back from that poor excuse for a football match.
  18. That wouldn't be a bad thing...
  19. Bah fukcing humbug. They ain't dubbed Ferrari International Assistance for nothing. Fukcing cheating fukcers. (Yes, I'm annoyed.)

    Illness

Me on Monday. Ended up coming home from work, I was that bad. Thankfully it only loitered for 24 hours or so before buggering off again.
  21. Post Office accounts are good if you want to make sure you're money is safe - becuase they're provided by Bank of Ireland, you actually get a higher value of security than you do from UK providers, as I found out today.
  22. Spin you car 360 degrees on a motorway. I passed that one with flying colours yesterday.
  23. I'm looking forward to it, if only for the fact I'm gonna be away from home for a couple of days, hopefully it'll help me relax after the multiple traumas of yesterday - both on and off the pitch!
  24. Oh poop. I've got tomorrow night on the brain. I knew there was a reason I came home from work ill today.
