Current + Potential Denfensive Midfielder Comparisions
Saint Luke replied to Convict Colony's topic in The Saints
My 14 year old son always quotes FIFA stats to me and even about players I know nothing about. When I said we had signed Elia on loan I got a raft of information quoted to me - which all means nothing in real life. Bl00dy FIFA -
I was in block 3 and to tell the truth the Palace fans were deafening, only heard the Northam once in the 2nd half Having sat in many areas of the stadium I know that it is actually quite difficult to hear the Northam but I thought it is actually down to the Northam to 'keep it going' - again sure to get shot down for that comment. Now I'm not a season ticket holder (but would love to be - money, location and family dictate otherwise) - so probably am not allowed an opinion - but we do seem to be lacking in our number of songs. How many of the Northam are on this forum? Can some of them not get together to come up with some more ditties? How do you even start a new song in a ground? When I'm older and teh kids have left home I will get a season ticket - then I can legitimately ask these questions

Thre is no doubt that Cork is ring rusty. Give the lad a chance he has proved himself dependable previously whne he is match fit and in form. As for the ref, thought he was poor overall but there was not one major incident he got wrong. Went with my Brentford season ticket holder mate who thought we were unfairly treated by the ref. Pardew did his homework, we were missing some of our best players, as I said previously I think they wanted it more than us.

Listening to 5live on the way back up to New Malden they kept saying - 'Top 3 of the premier League knocked out of the FA Cup' We lost the midfield and they wanted it more than us. Their 3rd goal was slick passing and good movement - how on earth Chamakh can play like that is beyond me. Probably his one good game for the rest of the season. Defence didn't seem to track players as well as in previous league games. We so missed Wanyama and Schneiderlin in midfiled. Palace were physical but acceptably so but I do think that Pelle gets short shrift from the refs.

Was waiting for mine to come through the post and luckily checked my order confirmation and they were attached on a pdf. Close to making a fool of myself there. -
Parents moved to Chandlers Ford from Surbiton when was 18 months old - that's about 49 years ago. Was taken by family friends to See Saints play Bristol Rovers one Easter about 40 odd years ago and the rest is history. Now live back up in New Malden - next to Surbiton - how strange the circle of life. Son and daughter now Saints fans. Coming down on Saturday with daughter and Brentford supporting mate - it must be the red and white. Can't understand son - big Saints fan but not into going to see them live.

Finally - the new Pink Floyd album - The Endless River Very mellow - very late era Pink Floyd. Predominantly instrumental. It shows how a rock band can age gracefully. No ratings - people will have to make their own minds up but I do like it a lot.

He says what ever is going to be controversial at the time. One day he says one thing and then do a U turn the next to get a reaction. He generally talks ******** - but then what do you expect from a Posh fan!

With my rose tinted glasses that I've just found in my sock drawer our last game of the season at Man City will decide if we finish 3rd or 4th!!
-
3rd place as I think it means we don't have to play a qualifier - or am I wring - please confirm those ITK If we finish 4th then I see us going out to some eastern European team whose name we can't even pronounce so it would all be over in 2 games. Those saying 4th and then saying they would like to see us playing the big guns need to think about the qualifying rounds - it ain't easy. Of course I would wet myself if we won the FA Cup!

I have to admit I was a doubter after his performances in our losing streak but he has come good and proved me wrong which I am always happy for him to do. Wish him well in the ACON but would hope he comes home unscathed.

There are so many. UFO - Profession of violence Richie Blackmore not mentioned, come on guys. Stargazer or some of those B sides Weiss heim such emotion. Comfortably numb always near the top but also Shine on you crazy diamond. Bonamassa's Tea For One. Saw Vai live at Hammersmith on the sound theories tour and there was one track that was just incredible as a piece of music and of course fantastically played, audience ave him a standing ovation at the end if the track even though it was right in the middle of the gig. Lots more to list

Like we are any different to any other forum!

Lucky, lucky Arsenal
-
Worst substitution was bringing on Mane, he can't control the ball, pass the ball or shoot!
-
Aldeweireld off now as well!!! bloody hell
-
I'd keep Long on for his harrying and chasing!
-
This had just started
-
Looked and payed better than Sunday but Arsenal not as big a test.
-
To tell the truth Arsenal have their own injury problems but a much deeper squad. I think I'd be happy with a point - but of course mush happier with all 3
-
The quality of the final ball from both teams is pretty poor apart from 1 each. Tadic so needs a rest!
-
Divergent - close to the book with some minor changes Dawn of the planet of the Apes - I particularly like this Guardians of the Galaxy - fun space romp

Blew me away too. Still consider it my favourite film of all time. If Ridley Scott is not involved with the new film I fear for the quality and style of the cinematography - he does make films with great lighting and imagery. What's up with Harrison, did they fall out? Have you read the books that were written as a sequel to the film not Philip K Dicks book? The first follow up book moves on pretty soon after the film finishes and has the original 'human' Batty in it. There are 3 follow up books I think, but the the first one of these is the best of them.
