Should Saints sign Papa Waigo & Antonio?
Dr Who? replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
I really wopuld want them to both be signed for next season, I think they both have what it takes at this level and in the Championship, so we could sign them on for 2 or 3 years and see how they develope. -
I think sometimes it takes longer than others, but we have some great players now for this level. We could do with getting them all fit, keeping them fit, and have a good run of results. I just feel that AP is just trying out a few different things at the moment which have not help with the team gelling, but he needs to do this to find out what is his best team and formation works best at home and away. AP will get it right, but I wish we could start next season now!!!

Fantastic window for us, the best I can remember.... looking forward to the summer window and the starting with 0 points next season....... next stop championship as champions!!

used to have a season ticket in the Northam stand, and have since sat in the Chapel stand. I have to say the Northam Stand is much more fun and louder when it comes to singing and being next to the away fans is much more fun for banter. The Chapel is better as one of my best mates sits in there, but I would prefer it if him and his dad moved to the Northam or the Northam Kingland corner. I am looking forward to getting my season ticket back as from next season in the Northam with my lovely wife. COYR

Played badly and won.... I will take that, as long as the form returns!

I am very positive when it comes to Saints this season, and I am enjoying the games, but I think we will need to wait until next season for promotion, the gap is just a little to big, and our form is a little up and down. To close the gap we need to be winning home and away with a draw away sometimes. Next season though we have to hit the ground running.
-
Hope to get tickets, but do not think I will get my hands on any if it is a replay!!
-
Also IF you take out the forst 10 gamess we ARE in Playoff, or even automatic promotion form. Next season lads, next season...... we will go up!

The season has been a little weird so far. Started terrible and had a great October and November, and then lost to Brighton and had a wobble, picked up and looked good for a short amount of time, and now even though having great home results not playing well. Not very good to watch at the moment, but seem to have a spell in all games of 15-20 minutes where we look really good. It seems in this period of play we can get 1,2 or even 3 but then it backs to wall for the reast of the game.

Saints V Stockport County - Half Time & 2nd Half Chat
Dr Who? replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
Barnard to get a couple in the second half unless he is taken off that is!! I hope not!! -
Set pieces sounds like a striker we already have! I do not know his goals to chances ratio, but I know he scores a few, and holds the ball up well.
-
Steady!! Proven goalscorer at this level!
-
Sorry but we are playing stockport? The club that has had to get rid of most of it's players? We will win but 1-0 or 2-1, but we all hope for better. Break through and the floodgates open??? Hmmm
-
Well there is always the second half!! ZZzzzzz
-
They can rot in hell and start all over again from the bottom..... I will not be sorry if they go out of business, and if they are saved by someone then fair enough. I hate them, but love the banter between the two of us, but more worries about Saints and getting back to the Prem!!
-
I agree with the two wide players, and getting the ball in the box from these areas. With strikers like ours and in this league we could get plenty of goals this way instead of trying to play our way through, and then get frustrated and hump the ball forward. You do need to mix it up a bit, and if getting the ball out wide, and playing a way through does not work, then you sometimes have to mix it up with some ugly football in this league! Millwall for example kicked us off the park!
-
He will be very much cup-tied!! But at least he will not be playing against us.

I think there will be 2 signings before the close of the window on Monday. Puncheon, and a holding midfielder. If not the holding midfielder will be on loan sometime next week.
-
I am all for giving players a fair go, and he could turn out to be one of the good one, or could be utter rubbish, but you will not know unless you give him a punt. Cheap, and could get him on a short contract, and if proves to be good get him on a longer contract quickly!!!
-
We will beat them home and away next season (If Millwall do not make the playoff's and go up)
-
It will just take a couple more signings an attacking midfielder and a defensive midfielder, and the team will be balanced. At the moment the signings have been up top and at the back!!
-
Agreed, Lambert needs a rest as we have been playing on some really heavy looking pitches in the last few away games. Barnard needs to play and needs to get off of the mark quickly, and I think the goals will flow. What is up with Connolly, is it old problems as he looks like he would score for fun if he could stay fit, and when he arrived and when he is involved we have won most of our games.

Perhaps he was at Griffin Park last night!!
