  1. Well Saints never fail to give us something to talk about.
  2. I’m hoping he is still working out the system and will be for a little while yet. My main worries are the lack of tempo with our passing, and when we lose possession how quickly the opposition over run our non existent midfield and defence, oh and keeper. The fact we do not have any tempo in possession seems to transfer into lacklustre defending when we lose the ball, as everything is so laboured and slow. Let’s hope this is a one off in terms of the score line, but the signs have been there since the start of the season (first half against Wednesday excluded) the laboured passing is fine when you are winning, but when you are 2/3 down you need to mix it up.
  3. Villa lost 1-4 at Bramble Lane on September 1st in their promotion season back to top flight. I think September is worse than the start of the season because of all the changes. It’s going to take time to get the team to completely gel. I will take notice of the table come the end of October.
  4. Rude!
  5. As I said. It was a nice start to the day, until kick off.
  6. Well it started well, me and the boys met Le Tissier. Such a nice person. I said I was sorry to disturb him, and he said ‘take a seat’ talked to him for a couple of minutes and then took photos. Then the match, well what’s to say? We play so laboured, yes we knock it around nicely and keep the ball for long periods of time, but where is the injection and urgency. Because we play so laboured in possession, when we lose the ball, we are not fully on it and defend sluggishly. At this level you need to be up and at them at all times, like we were the first half against Wednesday. We played nice football but ran at them and were more direct. All in it was a very unprofessional game we played and defensively we were shocking, and gave the ball away in really bad positions. It’s sure a big wake up call.

Wolves must have been impressed with his failure to head the ball into an empty net, right under the cross bar, but instead miss the header and handball it in instead. That took some skills to screw that one up! It was easier to just let it drop on your head and in the goal. 🙄 👏 👏 👏
  9. It’s just left on time, but is it to East Midlands… could have drove there surely. Carbon footprint.

Because he scored against Doncaster. The Tin Man scored against Rotherham wasn’t it, and he was crap.
  11. Last time I went to the Stadium of Light was 2017, and we won 0-1 with a Tadic penalty. This was my sons first game watching Saints as a 5 year old. He next saw us win a game at Goodison Park last season 1-2 as a 11 year old! I was more happy for him that afternoon at Goodison when JWP banged in that free kick than the 3 points. So hopefully we are on a run as we are going to the game Saturday then Boro. Sunderland are poor, and have so many of their poor players out as well, so I think 2-2. 😆
  12. I am running the Great North Run with my daughter on September 10th. I secured the spot through ballot, and did and do not need to raise any money for a charity, but my motivation as always been in support of mental health after suffering from depression in 2018/2019. Even though I have been good ever since coming off the tablets, I still am very aware of how I self destructed and tried to destroy my marriage and family at the same time. if you can please sponsor me and give money to this great charity that I hold close to my heart and head. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kevin-sim4
  13. Looking forward to this one. I’m going with my 11 year old son (Saints fan) and his 9 year old cousin, (Liverpool fan) and I am hoping to convert the Liverpool fan into Saints fan… I won’t hold my breath. This will be the biggest crowd he has been to for a game, as all Carlisle thus far.

Ok cool, I have not seen anything. Che did have a medical at Everton last week though, but since then they moved the goalposts. I can see him at Palace.

They suddenly found some cash down the back of the sofa? good news for us but not Che and his ‘dream’ move. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66630426

Come on Che, sign the contract extension on the dotted line. I feel he will be very important to us in the championship.
  17. Not just yet, I am waiting for the new series. 👍
  18. Saints need to realise that ‘you are at your most vulnerable just after scoring’ is a saying not a command!
  19. I am still in Carlisle and will be going to all the away games Stoke and north of. So if you are thinking of going to any, then get to me and we can all travel together. 👍
  20. 3 of us going across from Carlisle. Trying to convert my nephew to a Saints fan. He is 9 and ‘supports’ Liverpool.

I don’t think a deal with Everton can be met. They cannot find the asking amount, I think they are pretty screwed and cannot make any signing, because of the cash situation. Looks like they are going to switch to a few loans instead. Take it with a pinch of salt, but heard from a long standing and suffering Everton season ticket holder. His words “we need shooting to be put out of our misery” seems really downbeat about this season. I did say to him at the end of last season that they would be fine now that they have stayed up, and have a new ground coming. The preseason to get sorted. He was having none of this back in June and even then said they need a complete takeover and strip down top to bottom, or they will struggle again this season. Sounded even more bleak when talking to him today.
  22. Still think there should be another video of his shocking moments to be fair.
  23. I think this will be our first clean sheet 2 or 3 to nil.
  24. All gone quiet on the Tella front. Seems it was only Burnley interested. He looked more settled on Saturday. Perhaps I am reading into it to much 🤷🏽
