  1. I'm in danger of having to watch Match Of The Day tonight!
  2. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed reading that (despite the error).
  3. It was recorded earlier today.
  4. I think the problem in this instance is that the Nottingham Forest defeat was so bad that they felt it only right to lay into them regardless of the following Palace result. I guess it might have been better (if possible) to have had one of their unscheduled special episodes immediately afterwards like they did after the 9-0 defeats (I think that was the case) as it was a result of such magnitude. That may not have been possible though and I'm glad they didn't hold back. I personally love the podcast and, you never know, maybe people at the club heard it and reacted accordingly!
  5. Didn't Man City play Liverpool in the previous round though?
  6. I have to say, after last night, I haven't got a clue what's going on or what to think of Nathan. But you have to give respect where it's due, that was an outrageous performance. With this in mind, I'm keeping my mouth firmly shut and will give him the time that any new manager deserves. Maybe he is the Skoda of football managers (something with pre-conceived negative connotations, but actually rather good in reality).
  7. Fuck it, let’s be positive. We can win this!
  8. What a player, such a shame we only enjoyed him for such a short time. I'm sure George Burley had an immeasurably positive impact on his career! 😃 His finest moment was surely that overhead kick in the Champions League final against Liverpool. That was incredibly amusing!
  9. Sorry if asked already but what's the general feeling about our transfer activity given our league position? I'm assuming here that we get in the two or three other players that we are being linked with, which should provide a far more potent attack. That said, all the other clubs are probably going to strengthen too. Statistically, we seem very likely to go down, but I guess there's still half a season to go / 'only' 4 points to make up and we have no option than to throw the proverbial kitchen sink at staying up. What we're doing must been seen as positive (i.e. we're not going down without a fight) but I guess you wonder about the financial implications if the most likely scenario plays out. Of course, the biggest threat to our chances of staying up is our beloved Nathan Jones. I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see any way we stay up at the moment with him in charge.
  10. Yup, it’s the white shorts and socks that make the overall look god awful.
  11. The wave one is an absolute abomination. I didn’t like it when it was announced but I’ve grown to hate it more exponentially every time we’ve worn it.
  12. This has surely been the worst ever season for kits, so anything will be an improvement.
  13. Probably by 19:00 knowing Chelsea!
  14. Or Palace score and we lose. Then everything is wank again.
  15. What a comeback, what a pivotal moment in our club’s history! I have little doubt now that we will march on to a cup double and secure our Premier League safety with several games to spare. The war in Ukraine will end, the NHS will recover, the strikes WILL be satisfactorily concluded, offering staff fair working conditions and pay whilst also protecting the best interests of tax payers. Everything is going to be fine, and we owe it all to Nathan Jones (plus possibly a gust of wind). I love football!
  16. Not a lunch but I managed to accurately fart the first verse to God Save The King. I really am quite proud of myself so the result today has become a bit of an irrelevance really.
  17. This signing is nothing without a spectacular light show to accompany it surely?
  18. Sad news and a reminder of our mortality. I saw him make his Chelsea debut at the Dell in 1996 (I think), which was Graeme Souness' first game in charge. To think he's no longer with us is a sobering thought as he was a fit, healthy young man then. I can't believe that was nearly 30 years ago now. He's one of the few away players I saw where there was some genuine awe from my side due to what he'd achieved in the game. One of the others was Ruud Gullit a few years earlier (also with Chelsea). RIP
  19. I've been really disappointed with him. Not necessarily because he's been particularly bad compared to others, but more his failure to realise his full potential, his lack of leadership and obviously also the fact that he appears to be angling for an exit on a cheap fee. He kind of reminds me of the last season of Van Dijk, only with less evident petulance and having done little to really prove he's the Rolls Royce defender we though he might be.
  20. Nathan Jones is like the management equivalent of the Wealdstone Raider 😃
  21. I've seen it on a Documentary on BBC2!
  22. It literally is too late in my opinion. They fucked up their one chance.
  23. Shame about the result really, but let’s talk again about that lightshow!
  24. In which game?
