  1. Not sure what other options are out there, but Reading are streaming the friendly for £5 via RoyalsTV.
  2. I expect the ludicrous money is a mere fringe benefit for good old Hendo, as he embarks on a relentless crusade to instigate a sweeping LGBT+ cultural change in Saudi. Arise Lord Henderson, you heard it here first!
  3. I couldn't give a monkies to be honest! England will always have its football pyramid and we will always support Saints. None of us are ever going to support, or even take an interest, in the likes of à Duhail. If that league did take off then I wouldn't care one bit as it would probably help level the playing field here.
  4. Haha yup, sometimes you just have to admit you were wrong. Maybe a cheeky swap deal for Lavia, who clearly hasn't even found his legs yet?
  5. I'm with you, but ultimately I think we liked him because we reckon that's how we would be if we were taken out of the stands and thrown on the pitch in an emergency (all heart, but with limited talent). I also reckon if he wan't a cool sounding / looking Brazilian then we would have been much quicker to denounce him. Best of luck Lyanco, there were far bigger culprits than you last season.
  6. Probably announcing our third kit a day early. 😀
  7. That was my first thought, one can live in hope!
  8. Redmond returns! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66226343
  9. Absolute weapon that guy.
  10. Great, several more years of the hilarious 'welcome to Liverpool in 2 years' jokes.
  11. Found it now, looks gash…
  12. Strange, when I looked on the store earlier they had the away shirt with the Starling Bank sponsor on it (in purple!) but it appears to have vanished now.
  13. What with that and Willy pulling out of Saints, it’s been a crazy day.
  14. Training gear now for sale… https://store.southamptonfc.com/training/training/
  15. That Barnsley shirt is based on one they wore in the late eighties. To be fair, they may have a forum somewhere where they’re all laughing at our one!
  16. Let's face it, Saints and starting slowly are synonymous with one another.
  17. Agreed. You can't make such bold statements when there are so many unknowns. After a half dozen games maybe, but not now.
  18. I’m sincerely not trying to say this in a disingenuous way, but he reminds me of David Brent (only younger and in better shape). Let’s hope he’s a better manager!
  19. Surprisingly, no. I guess I'm just interested in what's the most popular choice, especially in light of the damning publicity yesterday about betting companies and football. I'm not a fan of the shirt so won't be buying, but if I did then would go for the bank one.
  20. Yeah, this remains the big concern in my head with JWP. How much of our weak mentality was on him as captain? I guess I'm pretty apathetic about whether he stays or goes, but on reflection, it would be sad to see such a long-serving player depart and it would be cool if he helped us back up next season. That for me would cement his status as a player on a similar footing to MLT and SRL.
  21. LOL @egg, so what does that reaction mean?
  22. All recent events have told me if that a departure isn't immediately forthcoming. It's not even July yet, so anything can happen in the next two months or so. Gut feel is that he'll be off if any established / top 10 team go for him, and I don't think anyone would begrudge him that (assuming the fee was right). On the flip side, no-one can doubt his commitment to Saints and that's why he's still featuring prominently. Definitely a case of carry on as normal unless told otherwise I'd say.
  23. What home shirt have people gone for? > Laugh for Sportbet > Confused for Starling Bank > Sad for neither
  24. Damn. Came here with a bag full of Dyson jokes and they’ve all been done.
  25. Yup, hence why I also mentioned milestones (England caps, that sort of thing) in case he stays there his whole career.
