Totally agree, and absolutely not his fault at all. I expect he'll be more devastated than anyone about things. Until we nail this critical aspect we will always be doomed to fail.

The thing I was really gutted about was the lack of meaningful output from Phil Foden. The guy's a world beater at Man City, and an absolute joy to watch, but he barely flickered in Germany. So disappointed for him as I really thought this was going to be his tournament.

Yup, you’re quite right and there’ll be Tottenham, Newcastle, West Ham fans etc. all having the same conversations tonight. There’s no doubt than England’s failings over the last 50 years are vastly greater than ours, yet they seem so relatable.

Bollocks. I’ve always said supporting England is like supporting Saints. We get close every now and again but generally always fall short when the chance arises. At least we had success by our standards recently.

I'm similar, but did buy the yellow match day warm up shirt last year for £35 as that was great (far better than any of the actual kits).

That was a horrible watch. Bellingham, Foden, Kane, Saka all absolute gash (as they’ve been for most the tournament).
