  13. We interviewed an Italian football podcaster and journalist for Serie A on the show this week, he provided some good insight into Lyanco, what type of player he is and how he might fit into the Southampton team. If you want to hear the guys discuss it and the interview you can listen using the link below, the talk starts at 23 minutes. https://podfollow.com/total-saints-podcast
  14. After an action-packed return to St. Mary's yesterday the guys united (not Manchester) for an action-packed podcast after the game. We hear from 1/3 of The Italian Football Podcast and founder of www.sempreinter.com, Nima Tavallaey Roodsari who provided expert insight into our incoming new CB from Torino F.C. We discuss the game against Manchester United and how our boys looked back on their home turf. Whilst also dissecting the shambolic situation with tickets and getting into the stadium, at least there's a refund right?! We finish off by looking ahead to our next two games against Newcastle United and Newport County AFC. Martin Starke is joined as always by Steve Grant (SaintsWeb), Glen de la Cour (League One Minus 10), and Dan Sheldon (The Athletic) to discuss all things #SaintsFC. 16. Total Saints Podcast is back for another season, we hope you've all had a good summer and are ready for another challenging year? We've had a bit of a rebranding over the summer, our regular host and TSP founder Ben Stanfield has stepped back from hosting responsibilities this season to enjoy some much-deserved family time. He's still involved but has taken a background role for the time being. We've changed our artwork, introduced 3 new Patreon tiers with added perks and have ambitious plans to grow the podcast this season. We've got radio presenter and lifelong Saints fan Martin Starke hosting the pod this season alongside the regular panel consisting of Steve Grant, Glen de la Cour (League One Minus 10) and Dan Sheldon (The Athletic) to discuss all things SaintsFC. In our first episode back we discuss Danny Ing's departure, what this could mean for the club and who we could bring in to replace him, the clubs' recent new signings, our first match back against Everton and who really deserves to be in the starting 11. If you'd like to listen you can find the podcast on all the respectable podcast players, or using the link below https://pod.fo/e/decaa
  17. Total Saints Podcast brings down the curtain on another Premier League campaign. In truth, it’s been very disappointing for Saints – culminating in a predictable 3-0 defeat at West Ham United. We get together for one final time in 2020/21, assessing both the performance at the London Stadium and the season in general (31:50). TSP162 also includes the final Fantasy Premier League standings, as well as confirming the TSP Patrons ‘Player of the Season’ and ‘Goal of the Season’ (23:35). Have a great summer, thank you for listening to TSP this season……and Keep Marching In! acast: https://bit.ly/34ka0eY Amazon Podcasts: https://amzn.to/3hv7Qkx iTunes: https://apple.co/3vqWdPN SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/3oRbAi2 Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3fnChHO
  18. It’s been a great week for everyone who loves/supports/follows Saints, thanks to back-to-back 3-1 wins over Crystal Palace and Fulham. With a heck of a lot to chew over, we reflect on Danny Ings’ 100th senior goal, penalty saves, Wilfried Zaha’s traditional ‘tears at St. Mary’s’, Che Adams impact and Nathan Tella, a talented (and incredibly smiley!) 21-year-old, opening his account for the Club. Alongside that, TSP161 discusses Ryan Bertrand’s imminent departure from the South Coast (30:40) and also previews the remaining two matches of 2020/21 – our home clash (41:25) with Leeds United (including the return of fans) and the season finale at West Ham United (52:35). 19. It wasn't necessarily a surprise to see Saints lose at Liverpool on Saturday night, but it did once again reiterate the lack of belief and cutting edge currently running throughout the side. Given Danny Ings’ continued absence, you got the feeling Saints could have played until the next UK Bank Holiday and still not score! We reflect on a thirteenth loss in seventeen Premier League matches - since that win over Jürgen Klopp’s side at St. Mary’s in early January. Finally, ahead of a double-match week for Ralph Hasenhüttl and his players, TSP160 previews the upcoming fixtures against Crystal Palace (31:40) and Fulham (41:15). 20. One thing Saints will never be is predictable…. Expect them to win? They’ll often let us down. Expect them to get turned over? They’ll produce a spirited, ‘against the odds’ display, just like they did against Leicester City. TSP159 reflects on a game that oozed determination, achieved 10/10 player ratings and (*quelle surprise*)….included more VAR controversy! Next up is the trip to Anfield, as Ralph and the lads try to finish this season in a positive manner. Could that mean a rare Premier League ‘double’ over Liverpool? You’ll have to listen to the match preview (38:30) to find out what we think… We also discuss Martin Semmens being linked with Manchester United and provide an update on the latest TSP FPL standings (34:15). 21. Saints suffered FA Cup Semi-Final heartache at Wembley, after a thoroughly lacklustre showing against Leicester City. Despite Ralph Hasenhüttl saying his team ‘left everything out on the pitch’, TSP discuss, amongst other post-match reaction, whether we agree with that opinion…..or not! TSP158 also includes conversation about the proposed (..../disgraceful!) European Super League (26:30) and previews Saints’ next match, against a Jose Mourinho-less Tottenham Hotspur (42:20). 22. Cup fever is starting to intensify in and around Southampton (well…..it was pre-West Brom anyway!), with Saints set to take on Leicester City in next weekend’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. This week we're joined by Simon Peach (PA Media) to preview another pivotal match in the Club’s history (50:15). Jamie (Leicester Fan TV) also provides an ‘opposition view’ from the Foxes camp (59:25). Ahead of that Wembley build-up, the guys reflect on Saints latest Premier League match – a dreadful 3-0 loss vs Sam Allardyce’s Baggies. TSP157 also includes the final ‘International Supporters Club’ of the season, a feature which has racked up over 30,000 ‘virtual miles’! Victor Galea (Southampton FC Malta) brings down the curtain on a thoroughly interesting and enjoyable look at life inside various #GlobalSFC supporter groups (30:10). 23. A quiet, uneventful return to Premier League action for Saints? When have they ever been known to do that?! Instead, after an end-to-end, rollercoaster of a match, Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side secured a fantastic 3-2 win over Burnley. We work our way through the key moments, players and decisions from another tough – and emotionally draining – Premier League battle. Sean Dyche also pops in (again) to provide some post-match reaction. TSP156 also previews next week’s visit to the Hawthorns, as Saints take on Sam Allardyce’s West Bromwich Albion (32:00). If you'd like to listen to the Podcast, you can find it via any of these links: acast: https://bit.ly/31NFAkg Amazon Music: https://amzn.to/2QkbTEM iTunes: https://apple.co/2PzeBq2 SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/3dDgcDh Spotify: https://spoti.fi/39EDirJ
  24. Saints cruised through to the FA Cup Semi-finals thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth. We look back at a dominant showing from Hampshire’s premier football team, including standout performances by Nathan Redmond and Stuart Armstrong. TSP155 also sees the panel answer several listener questions, including whether Danny Ings might need to be sold this summer (30:15), possible touchline support for Ralph Hasenhüttl (37:05) and the SFC Playbook’s progress (or not) (43:05). Lastly, Chéle became McChéle earlier this week. An achievement TSP simply have to acknowledge! 25. Thanks @Sunglasses Ron / @Mr Saints / @Snopper - we appreciate it/you sticking with us! Hopefully the conversation can become a little more 'positive' over the next few weeks.... B
