Don't worry, we don't spend long on the West Ham game - after what seemed an 'on the beach' performance from the lads! Thankfully, to give the Podcast some positivity, ex-Saint Dave Puckett pops in, alongside Will and Leon from Saints Archive, for our latest Total Recall. Amongst other things, Dave chats debuts, The Dell, Kevin Keegan and Alan Ball. The remainder of TSP74 sees us talking pre-season (yes, already!) and previews our last 2019/20 fixture, at home to Huddersfield Town next weekend. Should you wish to listen to the Podcast, then you can via these sites: acast: https://bit.ly/2rDv9gW iTunes: https://apple.co/2IgVmMA SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2GWgNzy Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2R0d0Ee We're nearly there - and a well-earned rest for everyone - thankfully! The Saints are staying up………and now you’ve got to believe us! Yep, in true Southampton style (i.e. an emotional roller coaster), the 3-3 draw against Bournemouth made sure Premier League football will remain at St. Mary’s next season. Episode 73 sees us look back on the key talking points from an end-to-end fixture, which saw an outpouring of relief at full-time! Alongside that, Shane Long’s record-breaking goal, and a bizarre half-time featuring John Barnes, at Watford also feature, as well as a preview of next weekend’s game against West Ham United. A disappointing result for Saints this weekend, up at Newcastle, but Ben, Steve and Adam (who were all at St. James Park) try (as ever!) to constructively talk through the key points - not least Mario Lemina's return to action, and also James "the wall" Ward-Prowse! Alongside that Adam tells us a little more about new Chief Scout, Martyn Glover, Steve talks 2019/20 season ticket prices and we preview both upcoming games against Watford and Bournemouth. While the result was disappointing for Saints (against Liverpool) the performance wasn't! Again the team showed many positives for the longer term, by more than competing for the majority of the 90 minutes. Episode 70 of TSP sees Ben, Adam and Steve chat through the key talking points from Friday night - including what time Steve got home from PopWorld post-match (more Saturday morning that one....!), Shane Long scoring his 50th Premier League goal and the amount of away fans in and around the home parts of St. Mary's. There is also a chat with a TSP Patreon of ours, Alex Hart, and a preview of the Wolverhampton Wanderers fixture. Its back-to-back wins for Saints - and that means happy Podcasters! Episode 69 sees the three of us reflect on all the key talking points from a hot and sunny Amex Stadium – including a fabulous performance by Saints Captain, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. It also includes our preview of next Friday's tough looking fixture against title-chasing Liverpool. Lets hope so! It'll mean a much more enjoyable last 4-5 games of the season, compared to 12 months ago! Happy listening, B

Weirdly Glenn Cockerill has just been on TSP tonight, and mentioned a couple of times that, whilst fans wouldn't necessarily appreciate it, Branfoot was a decent man (albeit his handling of the Jimmy Case and Le Tissier situations wasn't great)

The FA Cup/International break means there are no games for Saints at the moment, but that hasn’t stopped the TSP chaps getting together for Episode 68 - for a Q+A session, driven by our incredibly supportive Patreon Patrons. Conversation covers players that may go/come this summer, Academy prospects, pre-season and an update on the status of Les Reed’s ‘replacement(s)’. As well as that – and before our Brighton & Hove Albion preview – in partnership with Saints Archive, we’re delighted to welcome former Saints midfielder Glenn Cockerill. Glenn talks about how he got into football and life at/memories of his Dell days. Podcasting – whether producing or listening – can sometimes be a dark, lonely experience. But when results come along like they did yesterday, it makes it all very worthwhile! Episode 67 sees us look back on a wonderful three points for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men - covering a second half full of belief, the impact of Josh Sims and also another stunning free-kick from, man of the moment, James Ward-Prowse. Alongside all that, we analyse the latest Saints 2017/18 financial accounts – and some of the obvious questions they raise. Up The Saints (and catch you soon), B

Episode 66 of Total Saints Podcast is available now - as we reflect on the important 3 points against Fulham, and the gutting 3-2 defeat at Manchester United - a performance which left Adam very encouraged about the team's chances of survival. Sandwiched between that and our Tottenham preview, is the latest Total Recall - where we recall the last ever game at The Dell - May 19th 2001, and a very special last minute goal from a certain Mr Le Tissier. The three of us - Adam, Steve and myself - are finally gathered together again, after what feels like forever, for Episode 64. We chat about recent holiday's to Asia, Dubai and, er, Dundee, preview the upcoming game for Saints at Arsenal, reflect on Michael Obafemi's new deal at St. Mary's and finally discuss the recent Jisheng Gao/Lander Sports shareholding news. In the middle of all that we speak with James Hallett from Happy Hot Tubs - sponsors of the Podcast for 2018-19. James talks about the two biggest loves in his life - hot tubs and Southampton FC! It was a disappointing result for Saints against Cardiff City, but Episode 63 of TSP saw us trying to remain as positive and optimistic as we could about the run until the end of the season. Joining us this week, with Steve and Adam both on holiday (not together - apparently!) were Simon Peach, Glen de la Cour and Freddie from The Ugly Inside. We chatted all things Ralph Hasenhuttl, Jack Stephens, Ryan Bertrand, Shane Long, Emiliano Sala, dropped points, injury-time goals, relegation fights and Tenerife! If you'd 'like' to listen to the Podcast then its available via any of the following links: acast: https://bit.ly/2Bx50Wo iTunes: https://apple.co/2OuQJys SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2Dp8s5u Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2WVQpNu Lets hope for better things (and points) after the final break of the season now, Thanks B

A tale of two draws for Saints this week. One a fightback. One a heartbreak. Episode 62 of TSP sees Ben joined by Steve and Sam Appleton (Sky Sports employee and Saints fan) to reflect on the Crystal Palace and Burnley games, including Wilfried Zaha’s bizarre red card. In this week’s Total Recall, Will Dawe and Leon Burton from Saints Archive invite a famous 1976 FA Cup winner onto the Podcast – Jim McCalliog. We talk to a charming Jim about that famous day in 1976, his time with Saints in general and what he makes of the Club/team these days. Finally, we preview next weekend’s Premier League game against Cardiff City. Yet another ‘six-pointer’!
