  1. Sorry Simon! Busy day with work (the one that actually pays the bills! 😁) Will upload the proper links now
  2. Thanks LeBizzier. Really glad you enjoyed it. Was a privilege talking to him. Hopefully I did him/his Saints career justice! B
  3. Thanks to a dominant performance throughout, Saints ruthlessly put Sheffield United (‘The Blades’) to the sword this weekend. The game ending 3-0.We reflect on a win that saw Ralph HasenhĂŒttl’s side move to 23 points from twelve Premier League games.TSP140 also includes the latest ‘Red & White Insight’ feature, with Greg Baker (Head of the Saints Foundation) dropping in for a chat about 2020, as well as a look ahead to next year (26:20).With a busy pre-Christmas schedule now underway, the Pod also previews two tough-looking fixtures for Saints over the next seven days - firstly the trip to Arsenal, then Manchester City’s visit to St. Mary’s (49:00)If you'd like to listen to the Pod episode you can get it via any of these links:acast: https://bit.ly/37g6hRXAmazon Music: https://amzn.to/3kNwzzmiTunes: https://apple.co/346fWIUSoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2W9QspxSpotify: https://spoti.fi/37fjMkY
  4. With McBurnie getting the winner... đŸ˜‰đŸ€ŠđŸŒâ€â™‚ïž
  5. Ralph HasenhĂŒttl celebrated his second anniversary as Southampton manager with a hard-fought, 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. The victory also saw Saints become the 11th Premier League representative to achieve 1,000 points. Ben, Steve and Glen discuss the key talking points from the match – including Jannik Vestergaard’s (or VesterGOD!?) dominant performance
..and VAR! TSP139 also includes the panel’s thoughts on Ralph’s 2-years in charge (25:20), Jan Bednarek’s new contract and previews Sheffield United’s visit to St. Mary’s next Sunday (49:15). In addition to all that, the latest ‘TSP – International Supporters Club’ sees Bharathvishal Maheshkumar join the Pod to chat all things ‘Southampton FC India’ (32:30) Should you like to listen to the Pod, you can find it via any of these links: acast: https://bit.ly/2JPWsRX Amazon Music: https://amzn.to/37Q4SRh iTunes: https://apple.co/3n86QTE SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/371K9dT Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3qIkSgF
  6. Fear not, Simon......here it is! 😁
  7. Wouldn’t argue with many of the above - although would have to go for Warnock. Horrible piece of work (especially when he loses/lost). Can’t stand him!
  8. Not for the first time at St. Mary’s, it was late heartache against Manchester United this weekend. But let’s not dwell on that too much.... While James Ward-Prowse added to his successful quota of free-kicks, Jan Bednarek extended an unwanted, personal record! As per normal, we try our best to work through the key talking points of a game that, once again, toyed with every emotion. TSP138 also covers the impending return of fans (albeit in small quantities) to the Premier League (22:45) and previews Saints next fixture, a visit to Brighton and Hove Albion (34:45). Fingers crossed that Saints get 'back on track' at the Amex! 9. After yet another international break, Saints return to Premier League action this week with a tough looking trip to Molineux. We therefore preview the fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers ending, as per normal, with a range of varied score predictions! Alongside that, TSP137 sees us reflect on Oriol Romeu’s new contract (25:35), highlight a great initiative being run by Saints DSA (Disabled Supporters Association) and celebrate a couple of birthdays (including Saints turning 135 years old!). Lastly, in the latest ‘International Supporters Club’, we welcome Gjermund Vik from the Norwegian Southampton Supporters (32:50). Gjermund talks about the history of one of Saints most northerly (and oldest) supporters’ groups, his own memories of watching the Club over the years, his friendship with Claus Lundekvam and more! 10. Decided, having signed his new contract, that I’d chuck some (probably rusty) words together about Oriol, for this week’s Total Saints Opinion. https://www.totalsaints.co.uk/post/total-saints-opinion-oriol-romeu-effectiveness-over-sexiness
  11. Cheers guys! 😇
  12. Although there's no 'on field' action for Saints this weekend, we've managed to make the most of a quieter period by getting some 'off field' reaction. Yes, in our third 'Red & White Insight', Saints CEO, Martin Semmens, kindly agreed to catch up with ourselves again. TSP136 sees him reflecting on a number of topical subjects including Saints reaching the summit of the Premier League, keeping Ralph Hasenhuttl, player contracts, fans returning to St. Mary's, the '5 subs' rule, Danny Ings recovery, takeover progress, coverage of the Women's team and more! Hopefully it'll go some way to 'filling any void' until the Wolves game arrives! 13. Don't encourage them! 😉
  14. Yes, let’s hope Loyd Grossman never comes anywhere near it!!!!! Glad you enjoyed it đŸ‘đŸ» B
  15. “We’re top of the league, we’re top of the league

we are Southampton, we’re top of the league!” Yes, 28 years since the Premier League was created, victory against Newcastle United took Saints to the summit of England’s top division. While it only lasted for 40 hours or so, getting to first place is an achievement that should be treasured by everyone connected with the Club (and who is to say we won’t get there again soon?!) TSP135 sees Ben, Glen, Steve and Simon Peach (PA Media) look back on a memorable Friday night for Ralph HasenhĂŒttl’s side. Alongside all that excitement – and ahead of the next International break – we also work our way through some questions from TSP listeners (35:45). acast: https://bit.ly/3ld2s4I Amazon Music: https://amzn.to/3kNwzzm iTunes: https://apple.co/3eEkt9z SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2JQTe0f Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3eH45oP
  16. At no point in the ‘How to be a Southampton FC fan’ guide does it ever say life will be easy! After a scintillating first 45 minutes against Aston Villa, Saints eventually crawled over the line to win 4-3. It took Ralph HasenhĂŒttl’s side up to joint 3rd in the Premier League. Yes, that’s right

THIRD!With nerves still a little frayed (not just from Halloween!), we try to unpick the key moments from a rollercoaster of a Premier League match. In slightly calmer waters, TSP134 also includes a discussion about the recent Leadership Diversity Code (24:00) coverage, including why Saints decided not to sign up to it (at least for the moment). Lastly, there is a preview of next Friday night’s visit to St. Mary’s of Newcastle United (32:10).Sorry, did we mention Southampton Football Club are joint 3rd in the Premier League

  17. Thanks S. Yes, definitely someone I’m/we’re hopeful the Club will allow us to speak to at some point. B
  18. It’s all for the greater good, I promise!! 😉 B
  19. On the 13th May 2017, Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich (5) beat Ralph HasenhĂŒttl’s RB Leipzig (4) in a dramatic, nine-goal, Bundesliga thriller. However, exactly a year to the day since HasenhĂŒttl suffered a totally different experience involving nine goals (lets promptly leave that there
.!), it was Ralph’s turn to get one over on his Italian counter-part this time, as Saints professionally dismantled Premier League leaders, Everton.Ben, Steve and Dan Sheldon look back on all the key talking points from another excellent home win at St. Mary’s.TSP133 also includes our latest ‘Red & White Insight’, where Toby Steele (Managing Director at Saints) joins us for a chat (28:15) about a number of topical themes, including Club finances, the summer transfer window, Pay-Per-View, ‘Project Big Picture’ and more! The episode finishes with a preview of next weekend’s visit to Villa Park (1:11.45), including how a set of Saints fans are trying to help our City by encouraging the ‘£14.95 pay-per-view cost’ to be invested elsewhere! If you'd like to listen to the Pod you can find it via any of these channels:acast: https://bit.ly/35ybEKjAmazon Music: https://amzn.to/35zZpwUiTunes: https://apple.co/37I2u0ESoundCloud: https://bit.ly/3oBMmDUSpotify: https://spoti.fi/3e8QJ4B P.S - and not one 'alluded' in this week's episode! 😉
  20. I've been pleasantly surprised how many people agreed with me, @Baird of the land. Must be almost double figures now... 😁 B
  21. Thanks @kwsaint. Great to hear - and thanks for letting us know! B
  22. Makes a pleasant change from ‘totally’, ‘obviously’ and ‘basically’, I suppose! 😉 B
  23. The Bible (Old Testament) tells us that Samson lost his superhuman strength if/when his long hair was cut. But, in more modern times, Jannik Vestergaard seems to have gained superhuman strength since his barnet was trimmed by the barbers! Our big Dane – with his recent ‘short(er) back and sides’ – nodded in a well-deserved, injury-time equaliser for Saints (vs Chelsea) this weekend.TSP132 sees us react to that moment, Theo Walcott’s ‘returning debut’ and much more from Stamford Bridge. The Pod also includes the latest ‘TSP – International Supporters Club’ (from Bulgaria; 26:15), reflects on the recent Premier League Pay-Per-View decision (50:25), discusses the Transfer Window (41:15), celebrates Danny Ings first senior goal for England (62:05) and previews next weekend’s fixture against Everton (65:05).If you'd like to listen to this episode, you can find it via any of the following links:acast: https://bit.ly/3m5Mzx7Amazon Music: https://amzn.to/3kdDhORiTunes: https://apple.co/3lZKenkOvercast: https://bit.ly/2Hf72AxSoundCloud: https://bit.ly/37psRbzSpotify: https://spoti.fi/31kGEfq
  24. Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed it.
  25. Its back-to-back wins (and back-to-back clean sheets!) for Saints now, after a comfortable 2-0 win vs West Bromwich Albion. TSP131, featuring your regular foursome of Ben, Steve, Glen and Dan, reflects on all the key talking points from St. Mary’s, as the Baggies were put to the sword in very professional style. Alongside the excitement of that, discussion covers the impending International break, Transfer Deadline Day, Ibrahima Diallo’s arrival (32:30) and also a Fantasy Premier League update. Finally, after Eric Dier’s rapid exit from the pitch earlier this week, the chaps discuss rare occasions when ‘nature has called’ for footballers (i.e. “Jason Puncheon, he sh*ts when he wants”!)
