Sooooooo is this protest happening still? Are we doing the red card technique again or are we gonna do a West ham? Don't think doing a Newcastle will be effective. Northam is getting rather toxic I can see a West ham ordeal happening soon with the younger lads.

All downhill after cortese got the chop. Yes I'm still banging that drum.

Bring back four saints players to save our team.

Macca Cedric Stephens Vvd Bertie Romeu Lemina Redders Le tiss Mane Lambo 4 changes. Was a toss up between vvd and Toby. At least we will have 100% penalty record. Manager koeman. -
Assuming we do actually do some business in January. Who do we realistically buy? We won't be able to pry any first team players away from their clubs, so it'll be bench warmers to choose from again. I still want us to try for maxi gomez. Won't happen. Sisto is only 23 and is creative. Ziyech also has creativity in him. I wonder who we are going to sell (assuming anyone even wants our dross) if Gabbi does actually go, you can bet hell start scoring for fun in his new team.

Southampton's wretched home form a recipe for relegation
ChiefScummer replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
I know mate. Tough pill to swallow but I've become so disenfranchised with the prem I would take championship football, if only for the fact we may actually win games. It costs me a fortune to travel to England for games and I always feel I should have just stayed at home instead. Conceding a goal in injury time meaning we lose is a lot harder to get over when you've spent over a grand to watch that game. Maybe I'm thinking selfishly but I'd take anything else than our current situation mate. Maybe not 10-15 years though lol. Championship is tough but it is enjoyable at least. What would you like to see happen mate? Realistically. -

At least del boy sometimes sells worthwhile clobber -
Problem with Fulham is although their defense is terrible, they can score goals. If mitrovic or sessengon get a chance they'll put a few past us. I can see goals in that game for both sides.

Anything less than 3 points is a failure.

Supposedly when we sell players to Liverpool they comment on how unfit they are. Not sure how much truth there is in that but it seems plausible. Liverpool players are still sharp after 90 minutes so I really wouldn't be surprised if their fitness standards are far, far above ours. Maybe ings coming off that fresh fitness and slowly getting into our routine will slow him down? Hard to say really but something has changed. We look knackered after 60s up and down the pitch. Maybe that's why we concede so many 90+ min goals?

Okay, I know it's early days but so far this is how I'd rate them from best to worst. Ings - what can I say, this place went on meltdown at the mere thought of signing him but he has been by far our best forward so far this season. Looks sharp and quick, good first touch and is willing to chase a ball and drop a bit deeper if needed. Gunn - Impressive young keeper and future England no1. I really like this kid. He's got good judgement and made some great saves already. Amazing signing. Vestergaard - it was a choice between him and Armstrong but I've seen vest play more so put him here. He's not exactly quick but has made some decent blocks and put in some nice tackles. He definitely has the potential to improve and I think he would work well with yoshi. Armstrong - from what I've seen of him, I like. He's clearly got pace and looks comfortable cutting inside and running through the channels. Put in some decent tackles in pre season and knows where the onion bag is. I want to see more of him. Elyonoussi - so far he looks like he's struggling. Being a Tadic replacement we are relying on him for that creativity Tadic took with him. No doubt the kid has ability he just needs a bit more time to adjust it seems. What do you guys think, where would you rate them?

I just want gao to sell us to someone with actually money to invest and someone who is passionate about the game. I'm really not happy with him as owner at all. If we go down, hopefully hell think his investment is in the toilet and sell up. Get kat out too so she takes Ralph and les with her. New owner and new board needed before new manager. I wouldn't mind championship football for a few seasons if it meant we came back like last time and challenged for Europe again with an owner who had ambition and didn't want to sell his best players every season. -
Outside of Newcastle I think we have the worst owners in the prem. Kat who doesn't seem to want to invest anymore and Gao who supposedly can't invest. I can't see us buying anyone in Jan and if we do I'll eat my left sock.

Pretty interesting story he tells about his short tenure at saints. He's candid about what it's like being involved with our academy back then. I found it quite interesting so thought I'd share it here if anyone is interested.

Apparently his agent said he may go back to Italy in Jan. Hope he stays though. -
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1034038/Southampton-next-manager-Mark-Hughes-Leonardo-Jardim Could be a load of fluff but I'd like to think the board are not going to leave it too long if we are not picking up and wins.
-
Rumour has it we are talking to jardim atm as a backup when we sack Hughes. Saw it on twitter so take a pinch of salt. I'll try and find the article and post it.
-
Wait, Bournemouth have fans?
-
Can't wait to see us fail to defend a corner in the 93rd minute...
-
Let's face it we are stuck with the rot, at least until we go down. Maybe it'll be a blessing in disguise?
-
He really needs to just pish off now. Give us all a sigh of relief.
-
Sack the board and let Sammy run the club.
-
Just as bad as mahrez last one. Totally skyed it.

Can't remember mate. But there were a few here moaning that we wasted that money and should have spent it on an outfield player instead. Personally I think he was our biggest bargain. Bags of potential that lad.
-
And all the helmets were moaning before because they thought gunn was a waste of money. Probably our best signing from the summer. Fantastic keeper.
