  1. Just as happened before, Lowe can be removed from his position if the shareholders vote for him to go. They will not do this as no one else wants the poison challis. What people who comment on this site want is not relevent. We have to acceot that we are where we are, like it or not. I am heart broken by results over the past couple of years a long for better days but I have no say in how the club is run and I would not want the job myself. Have a look at the BBC football web site and see what Keith Harris of Seymour Price is saying. Liverpool and Everton have real debt problems, and so do we ... That is how the world is at present and may be some of us are just taking football and Saints too seriously?

  4. Gasmi played for 60 mins before being replaced by McLaggon (OS)
  5. Jack Cork is here on loan - he is not OURS! He will go at the end of the loan period just as the others do, get used to it.
  6. No No No, if you are a supporter you stay at home and post on internet discussion boards about what rubbish we are and how one man is 'killing' our club.

    Lowe out

Replaced by who exactly? Michael, Leon, who? Do you want a club or not?
  9. Who let Dannysfc (alias Benthelegend) back in? Close the door quick ...
  10. Well put Saint Billy, I share a similar view. The future looked so bright when all this talk of 'a deal being done by Friday' was going on and now ... nothing, no real hope it seems. The problem goes deeper though doesn't it? The media promote the Premier League as being the only thing that matters and our younger fans have such high expectations and the joy of supporting your local team disappeared long ago when money took over. We can't turn the clock back so we can only hope that our young team grow in confidence and maturity, the wins start becoming more regular and that that confidence and maturity will start to spread back to some of the younger fans. If not? Well there is more to life than football ...
  11. Surely Skacel and Roberston are very different? Roberston is a big centre forward,Skacel a left sided midfielder or defender. How can Robertson being chosen instead of Skacel? John is injured, JP knows we need to play 4-4-2 after all and so choses a big centre forward to partner Pekart. Skacel would need to replace either Surman (and that is not going to happen) or Mills?

I'm surprised Swansea do not figure in that list in place of either Blackpool or Plymouth. Too early to draw any conclusions of course but for me it will be Barnsley, Doncaster and Swansea for the drop.

  17. and what if we win today? what next?
  18. If anyone is more interested in watching Rasaik than the Saints then they can go to Watford, if he is not injured and if they think he is good enough he will be on display there. I prefer to watch the guys in red and white.
  19. No, not 'we might', but Rupert Lowe 'will have' unearthed a real gem of a manager. Credit where credit is due!

Is our squad too big to accomodate one more youngster with a future? I think not. By my reckoning we have a 'senior' squad of 32 but Euell and Skacel are certainly surplus to requirements and will be 'encouraged' to go very soon now. That leaves 30 and Cork and Pekhart are on loan until the end of the year only so that will leave us with 28. Byrne, Davies (Kyle) Gobbern, Hatch, Imudia, Paterson and Pernecky all have squad numbers but are surely not ready for first team action yet, even on the bench, so that leaves 21 and Kelvin Davis and BWP must be likely for moving on if the opportunity arises so that leaves just 19. Can we operate with a first team squad of just 19 players? A couple more would not go amiss if they are cheap to run but high on effort and at a pretty well zero acquistion cost. Bring them in, develop them, and allow move them to move on without impacting the quality of the side makes good sense - income plus improving performance levels. There is no doubt some of emerging stars will attract attention and that they will move to bigger clubs if they get their chance so we always have to be finding and developing good young players. If the standard of the young ones coming in gets better and better because they know they will get a fair crack of the whip here then the club will benefit and improve. We are not operating with just a first team of 11. Competiton and cover is evident and it is interesting that Dyer and BWP are on the fringes; Thomson, Mills, White and Lancashire are pressing for a place; someone has to make way for Tomas Pekhart; Wotton, John and Thomas fill in when there is room. That is the 19 to choose from with others developing - looks highly promising to me ...! I am a fan of Andrew Surman but I wonder if Drew is beginning to feel the heat from the even younger players and that is making him edgy? He can only get in to the team by playing out of position so he may feel he needs to move on! Shame but that is the way it is going to be - no one is safe, you are always looking at the threat from the youngsters. Dead man's shoes does not apply these days.
  21. Brilliant goal from Lallana - pure class R. Solent
  22. 2 - 0!!!!!!!!! Lallana
  23. Just hit the post twice in succession!!! Sooooo close ...
  24. Then I think that is very sad! And I think you may live to regret it as the plan might just work and you might miss some great stuff. Support the team, support the club, the world is a difficult place right now and times are hard. Lets give the team we love all the effort we can and maybe, in return, they will respond for us, which is more than last year's 'team' managed. There is nothing to be gained from such levels of personal hate.
