We may be SIX whole points behind already but at this stage last year we were 15 behind. Look on the bright side, we are only FOUR points away from the play-off's with a game in hand and we have FORTY-FIVE games left to make up the difference. Remember too that we still have to play most of those ahead of us twice so there is ample opportunity to close that gap. I would not worry too much yet if I were you. There is still all to play for, our destiny is in our own hands and it is a game of two halves so no need to be sick as a parrot just yet.

The performance of some posters on the match thread last night was appalling; it made quite disgusting reading but it was my only source of news from the match so I had to endure it. I am glad these moaners are on our side, I would hate to have them on the other side. Reading their abusive, nasty, and usually unmerited comments is not pleasant when all you want to do is support the team as best you can from a limited position due to various difficult circumstances.

In that time the rivalry between us and 'them' has been a key part of the experience. As long as we are top dog on merit then I have no axe to grind with them and I look forward to that being the case again shortly. As much as we all detest them for what they have done in recent years and the fact they have been cheating b45t4rd5 I ask you stop and think, do you really want them gone for ever? No more derbies, no more rivalries, no more chances to put them in their place? Gone, for ever? Something will be gone from our football if we do not have them to look down on. The other side to this is that the top teams are going to need quality 'home grown' players for their squads and so the likes of Adam Lallana will be in great demand and we can demand very high prices. In return we get a 'cast off' overseas player.

I have to disagree! Start of the season, players fresh and raring to go, new players needing to 'gel'; play the best team possible against Bournemouth. In any event, we do not want any slip ups against our neighbours and 'rivals'! And we want to start winning from the off and keep it that way.
