Where on earth has this terrible expression come from? Are we going to use it for every game now?
-
SaintBobby, behave yourself ...

Who is Twitter's Fourth_Official Picture of?
Panda replied to Crouchie's Lawyer's topic in The Saints
Of course it not any of those, haven't you heard - it's Danny Fox -
I thought he was going down the road on loan! "Seaborne To Cherries on Loan for Season? (Rumour)"

Bit of trick recommending Highfield isn't? Be honest it is Harefield that has a homely feel to it.
-
You would leave out Connolly? Surely not - he's our main goal scorer at the moment; he has two the others have only one!
-
Great night - we win and 4,464 of the best fans in the world watch their team slump 0-1 to Barnet, three booked and all (sorry both) outfield subs used.
-
Don't be sad, it will be all right and we will win, I promise. 3-0.

So you think the money will go to pay off the 'debt' we owe to Marcus rather than to strengthen the team obviously. You may be right but that may also prove to be a very hasty comment ... time will tell.

Well, I have to say I have read some rubbish on this site but this just about takes the biscuit!

Anyone any news on this? Team? Score? Just wondered ...

NA has said that pre-season is about getting the entire squad in shape so that on the Friday before the Leeds game he has a full squad to choose from. He has also said pre-season is about trying out different ideas and different combinations. The squad are together all week and train together all week, they work together and know each other. Come the season proper we will be unlikely to field the same side two weeks running due to injuries, suspensions, etc. We are constantly told that football is now a squad game, there is no such thing as a first eleven. I'm afraid you are unlikely to see a 'settled starting 11' for a while yet! I guess that is modern football.

Agreed; end of; not negotiable; no one else; it has to be Nick.

Is that the only year you could find when your average gate was higher than ours - nearly 25 years ago! By the way, you forgot to put the ground capacity and percentage full with those stats. During those years after all seating come in and the Dells capacity was reduced to c15k you could not get a ticket for love nor money unless you could commit to a season ticket. Prior to the all seating rule we consistently has over 20k for matches and frequently near 30k when you had to be really close friends with everyone around you! Try being in the Dell with 30k in there for 'a big one'.

The recent departure of the marketing manager may see a change in attitude? After all, things were not good since he arrived and he did not stay long. Let's hope NC picks the right man to come in and do the job properly if so many feel disgruntled with the way things have been. NC may make most of the decisions but the management team implement them and it is down to the marketing team to do this positively. A change of face in this area may well help I feel.

But he said "Friendlies never get big turn outs" and I was just pointing out that that is not true, sometimes they do!

P****Y had over £19k for their's against Chelsea!!!!!!!

I know this is an outrageous idea but why not keep to the rules and stop doing what you should not be doing. Maybe then you would not have these sort of problems? Just a thought.

"Leeds United could start the season without Luciano Becchio and Davide Somma, two of their main strikers. Argentine Becchio may need an operation on a ruptured tendon while South African Somma will be out for six to nine months with a cruciate injury."

I Dont Think This Was The Work Of Benthelegened/Dannysfc But We Will See ...

I'm not sure it's quite like fixing a visit to the dentist! You go when the court will see you; you don't say 'I want my case heard on the .....'

And a £2 administration fee! I bet Androids administration fees were more than £2.00! Does this new 'administration fee' mean they are saving up to pay for their next administration because we all know charities won't see any of it. Business as usual down the road?

NC = 'Don't call us, we'll call you." In my opinion a canny merchant banker just wants agents to stop pestering him and has made that clear. If we are interested in someone we call the club first, check out the position and attempt to agree a potential deal then, if it goes further, the player and agent come in to the frame. We drive the player acquisition agenda rather than respond to a continual stream of agents touting their players around to see if they can get us to bite. I don't see the original twitter statement as negative but positive! Of course the "agents won't deal with them" needs to understood. Surely he is saying that it is no use approaching Southampton with a prospective players as they always say no. As others have pointed out, though, if a club says to a player, "Southampton want to talk to you, are you interested?" and they are interested they will be here quick enough with their agent and the agent will do the dealing. We may be tough negotiators, what's wrong with that if it gets positive results. I would rather have NC Dealing with things like this than Mr Storrie!

I know what you mean although I love all nature, not just birds. My other passion (as it was my career until I retired) is running my own website about nature in Dorset imaginatively named http://www.natureofdorset.co.uk!
