Gosh! You make Rosie sound like a real *****!
-
Just catching up on the days events and if I am understanding correctly 'Arry is in the clear? The dog, otherwise known as Rosie, provides 'Arry with canine therapy (love, relaxation, exercise, etc) and that means 'Arry is better at his job at PFC so Milan decides to pay Rosie for her services which are, indeed, beneficial to PFC. Presumably Rosie is a French Poodle (?) and wants to be paid in Euros in to a French bank account but agrees that Monaco is near enough so 'Arry flies out there and opens her a bank account. Milan pays Rosie, like most employers, by BACS in to her account. Dogs are not liable to PAYE and do not have to complete a tax assessment either so she does not declare the income, why should she? 'Arry does not mention this to the tax enquiry, after all this is none of his business. Sadly, Rosie passes away and leaves her small fortune in her will to her beloved master, 'Arry. Fortunately, the amount is just under the death duties level and so no need to declare anything, is it all legitimate. The very worse that could have happened is HMRC could have pursued the dog for the money as she was a UK resident and if fond guilty she may have ended up in Holloway Kennels for a few months.

There has been a lot of comment on here recently about AA bending the figures again to block HMRC in agreeing a CVA but a CVA will only be required IF the football club is placed in to administration. However, Mr Andronikou said quite categorically that "administration is the last thing we will consider." I acknowledge that believing anything he says is a big risk but to me that says "If we can't sell we will liquidate." Somewhere else he said about previous owners not being prepared to put more money in to keep the company going until a sale is forthcoming. It seems to me that BC will tell AA to liquidate CSI and its assets as soon as it becomes impossible to continue, which is probably the day before the court issues the winding up order on PFC UNLESS the impossible happens and a buyer appears and puts the money down to pay off HMRC. This would suit the Football League and is why they are playing for time. They would prefer not to put the knife in and would rather HMRC or BC did it for them, it would avoid all sorts of complications and recriminations amongst league members. So, its find a buyer in about three (?) weeks maximum or its 'toast'. But like the rest of you experts on here, I am only guessing and they will probably get away with it again!

‘Administration is not on the cards and it is the last thing we would consider. ‘I can say that the club has not got significant debts, it has significant cash flow issues. Yours AA' Memo to Mr Andronicus If you owe someone money you have a debt. If you can't pay them what you owe then you have a debt problem. Assets exceed liabilities OK. No money to pay your bills insolvent. Insolvent then stop trading to avoid making the debts worse, that is illegal. Correct procedure is to stop trading, liquidate assets and repay debts. It's quite simple really. You tried administration and that failed, there is nowhere else to go. Stop trading, PFC is insolvent, to continue is against the law. Regards Panda

Had a big goallie once called Bob Charles and another, Tony Godfrey, and another ????? Andrew(s). Had another nipper called Peter(s) who was going to be great but wasn't. Kevin Phillip(s) been mentioned yet? -
We seem to have been here many times but didn't AA have new investors sort of 'lined' up last time before the court case when the lady was persuaded not to pull the plug out as it would jeopardise a deal that the would benefit the creditors? Sounds like the same trick to me - "Please FL don't impose sanctions or it will scupper the deal I (may have) lined up which will be to everyone's benefit, including yours."
-
It would go to the CSI pot not directly in to another company but as AA does as he wants he could try and justify that investment in P*****y improves its value and saleability and if the sale of WRC and P*****y is greater than the sale of just WRC then he can do it as it would be in the best interests of the CSI creditors. However, it would surely be a very risky strategy UNLESS he has a buyer already lined up based on such a deal falling in to place. However, the price of P*****y would be substantially increased by such a deal so who would want to do it? Mind you, we do not know what is going on do we ... and AA is not frightened to take risks!

How can it be a good thing to scout players of his calibre if they are not going to sign? That is just a waste of time and money isn't? Should we not be scouting players who will sign? And would someone like Sharpe, for example, be impressed by the fact we were scouting players far better than him? Sorry guys, even the OPer says this rumour is rubbish but he felt compelled to put it up for all to see.

Spent his early childhood as an exile in Egypt because of death threats from the mad King Herod. When Herod died his family moved back to Israel and settled in Nazareth where his father set up business as a carpenter and the young Jesus helped and became an accomplished carpenter in his own right. The family were, of course, Jewish and were regulars at the local synagogue where Jesus became respected as a rabbi. It was not until nearly 30 years old did start preaching more widely and became an itinerant teacher and prophet. The rest, as they say, is history. It's all in the gospels in the new Testament, give them a read, they are very interesting but they are not biographies as such.

Back in the fifties we used to play it a lot on days when the rain kept us in. The players used to keep breaking and were just printed cut-out card stuck in a slot on the base. You bought a sheet of 'players' in the appropriate kit and then re-used the bases put different players in. Overall, a very poor substitute for the real thing but it kept us amused!

Harry Redknapp, speaking to ITV4 - "I thought when Rubin Kazan went down to 10 men that we might have a good chance and four goals would be enough. But it was a good experience for some of the younger players in our squad and they will probably go out on loan in January now. I am a big believer in the loan system and they will go and do well for somebody else now." Looks like 'Arry might be helping his old pals out with some quality youngsters ....?

100 Saints, the definitive list..... Thoughts required.
Panda replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
David Burnside and his ball juggling as well as his visionary play. How about Dave Webb too, great RB for us. Don't forget Steve Mills either. The Phil Boyer and Ted McDougall double act. The mighty Mel Blythe. Peter Wells, one of our most under rated keepers. Peter Rodriguez who lifted the Cup. I could go on ... how are you going to keep this to just 100? -
Update! Now showing 11.09 from Wareham due to previous train breaking down. Its going to be taxi to the stadium I think!
-
Are you sure? South West Trains website 'live' board shows trains running and I am catching the 10.53 from Wareham that started from Weymouth.

Saints vs Royal Engineers - Second Half and Post Match Thread
Panda replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
Yes, and Radio Luxembourg was there one minute and gone the next - it seemed to come in waves! I guess the shop in Bevois Valley was the forerunner of Maplin's? -
"Harry Redknapp thinks the Football Association should wait until the end of the season before approaching anyone to be the next England manager." BBC Sport reports. Now why would that be Harry? Reckon your court case will be over by then and you will be a free man? If they were to choose now I guess they would have to over look you in case the the verdict goes against you and you have time to do? Yes, best wait eh?

I listened to that game on my crystal set. I remember big Dave M saying just before half time "What Saints don't want to do now is ..." -

Surely 'the few' must realise that had the FL via the FAPPT stopped the Russians taking over from Chainrai then Chainrai would have wound the club up and they would have already been 'toast'? Actually, the FAPPT seems to have given them an extended life expectancy. The problem now seems to be that the international ring of 'financiers' is huge and it is quite simple to pass the club on to someone else to use for a while. That is why AA is quite 'confident' that a new owner will buy the club quite soon. I think P****y are far from toast and will bumble on for a good while yet, albeit with minimal success, as there will be no real investment from the new owner, just money in to enable more money to be taken out. I'm with the sceptics here and don't share the certainty that this is it. Nevertheless, it is a bit more pain for 'the few' to suffer whilst the next chapter unravels.

Would you press charges in Katharine Goldberg groped you?
Panda replied to buctootim's topic in The Lounge
Isn't being drunk on an aircraft a criminal offence? I suspect the steward did not bring the charges but the police did, otherwise I am sure the airline would. -
I guess he just can't stop cumming?

Sorry David but you have twisted what I said. I was not saying Adam Lallana is not a very talented player and a vital member of our team - I would have to be mad to say that. Forget last season, things have changed a lot since then. Adam missed three games recently and by using the known resources we had and using them effectively we maintained the results and performances. This shows the depth of the squad, its versatility and its ability. I still maintain that to loan with a view to buy a reserve striker (JL from Coventry) now in case Rickie gets injured in the next four or five games is false economy. If, and I sincerely hope he doesn't of course, we lose Rickie for a while I am sure we can cope. Come the beginning of January the windows opens and players are available again and if Rickie got injured then we can, if needed, get someone in. By the end of the transfer window, if Rickie does not get injured, and we are still where we are now and looking strong we will not be looking for a Championship reserve player to bloat the squad, we will be looking for someone with real talent and a future to come in and put Rickie under pressure to keep his place. With the small number of players on the bench these days do we need to pay players just to join in training? No, of course not. We are looking for the Jack Cork/Danny Fox type player; young, intelligent, skilful and committed not a 'bed blocker', they get paid for nothing and hamper development squad players coming through. No temporary loans needed, no loan with a view to buy needed, just hold on, wait for the end of January and then move if the right player(s) are available that fit with our future. You are verging on being a Dalek and obsessed with the need for retail therapy! See his "OK I am wrong. Wow look at all the loans and signings we have made." comment. How do you judge success? By the players you buy and loan signings you make or where you are in the league table?
