  1. Get a manager in who knows what it takes to get wins in this league... If you act now we may still have a chance but failure to do so will result in SFC being relegated to league one... If you think what is happening now will enable us to survive in the CCC you are a fool and should leave immediately...
  2. Thanks for last years goals which kept us from relegation... We desperately need someone to do the same but the powers that be, think we don`t......false economy!! Have we anyone that can do the same this season?.............. Nope... Unless Saga can and is allowed to try.....
  3. We have a picture of a train in our board room...the envy of other clubs:D
  4. Doubt it .....all speculation.
  5. Sadly hope is all we have left then! But hope alone will not be enough IMO, so we will slide into league one and maybe even beyond if we have to continue down this route. This saddens me greatly as it is proven week after week that the way we are going does not work.
  6. Yes i did but have not change my view as you can tell. I have stated what we i believe need earlier. Bring in sensible loans, some young and some experienced to get a blend required for this league, as i have said previously no one has ever (to the best of my knowledge) been succesful by using the pretty system currently being operated by JP, with any serious success. Play good football of course, where possible but when it isn`t as is most weeks in this division you have to be prepared to alter style, approach and tactics something which Mr Portvliet has proven an inability to do. An experienced man at this level would mix old heads with youth to get the blend required.
  7. Worst home record ....EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But hey ho let`s keep "one trick" Portvliet on regardless:rolleyes:
  8. So why do so many clubs part company with their managers when there is real possibility of relegation?... Because new managers bring different ideas/styles/tactics to achieve results unlike our dutchman wjo has just the one way.
  9. Especially when we really, really need a proven goalscorer NOW to avoid relegation... Come on Rupert convince the bank that we need, no MUST have a decent finisher if revenue is not to fall further after our entry into league one.
  10. Clutching at straws a bit here... Would it make a blind bit of difference.......not for me We have kicked towards the "wonderful" northam many times and still not won....
  11. He did try to talk over me a few times TBH, so i asked him to be quiet and let me talk as i had let him have his say.
  12. Spot on... He is seriously worried that barclays are going to pull the plug, unless that was just him scremongering? i don`t know.. I explained to him that we must stay in this league or revenue wil fall further still,he again mentioned money... I said to him that it is your job along with the rest of the board to convince the bank that it is finacially imperative we stay in the CCC or revenue will drop even more and that their interests(Barclays) would be better protected by doing so.
  13. Nail hit precisely on head!
  14. Stupid question and you know it... We don`t need Portvliet,Wotte or this new guy Gorre.. We need a manager capable of making the team WIN,yes WIN not just play pretty football and before you reply that these three are/were cheaper than a proven manager at this level i simply do not believe it... I had a decent and amicable conversation with Mr Lowe before yesterdays match about the same subject. After he had played the " no money" card we spoke some more and i have a feeling by the look on his face and his actions during our conversation that he may be begining to realise it.
  15. Why is there no point? Has the good performance yesterday changed the argument that Portvliet does not have what it takes by a long way to stop us being relegated? For me a definate NO!! He must be relieved of his duty NOW or we will fall into league one.
  16. Both of above plus a proper manager/coach with the tactical know-how to save us from us the seemingly inevitable relegation. And all you baiters find some other poster to be obsessive about...
  17. Global Warming!...:smt102
  18. We dictated most of first half but were as usual unable to finish Reading were better in second half and it was even in trema of play, we managed to score when they were having a good spell and looking like getting a breakthrough. We could havel lost it late on but also could have won it if the ref understood that handball in the box is a penalty.
  19. Elland Road????
  20. Utter crap...we capitulated to a very, very poor side. The most disappointing thing about this game was just how easy it was for Watford to beat us...we gave it up on a plate..
  21. Just had read through the rest of the posts and can`t believe no one has mentioned the "Stonewall" penalty for the handball with about 2 mins to go.. How the hell the ref never gave it is a mystery:confused:
  22. We did play well today but it is also true that we must win games if we are to stay in this league. We must follow this positive display with several wins on the trot or we will go down, but in reality we will not because every good performance is usually followed by a dismal run of defeats. I wish i could feel optimistic about the next few games but i can`t as we have had too many false dawns.
  23. Anything is possible with Lowe!! Maybe Rupert having made one stupid appointment would then follow it up with another...his lunacy knows no limits
  24. If we are **** poor as of late we will get a trouncing. If we are better and actually play with some nous we may not lose by too many...but sadly we will be beaten.
