Interesting rumour. he's been on the fringes of the Wigan team, but never quite made the breakthrough (although having the likes of N'Zogbia and Valencia ahead of him can't have helped...) Think he plays wide predominantly and can take a decent set piece as well. Could be a decent replacement for Antonio /Waigo as an impact player

Cheers for the tips yesterday gents. Man of Action just didn't have enough, but a nice win for Premier Loco (right up against the rail as well), just abut covered me for the day. I'm on for Sadlers Star today, let's see if I can end the wkd in profit...

Chris, great stuff thanks mate. Not an easy day I agree, I had a look at the form last night, but nothing was jumping out at me, so I thought I'd fish for a few tips! Definitely not going big stakes today... Cheers Russ

Gents, off to Ascot today. If anyone has any tips for me would be much appreciated!

Interesting run in, both Huddersfield and Brighton in the last few games, both of whom should be up near the top of the table. Bradley Wright Phillips back at SMS first game of the season! -
To be fair, he wasn't playing Ro Pav or Bale at all for the start of this season and only gave them a start as he had injury problems. As soon as they were given a chance to play, they performed. I don't agree Huddlestone was struggling. He also heavily slated Gomes when he first took over. He's done well there, but he took over an expensively assembled squad, full of players who had a lot of collective experience. He then spent a lot of money on top of that (Defoe, Crouch, Palacious, Kaboul are £50m alone). it's hardly working miracles is it?

Seriously? Does anyone expect Elliot to come here? A player who has made a reasonable showing in the prem, dropping down to play in league 1. I would love it to happen, but let's be at least a little bit realistic. If nothing else, Burnley don't need the cash so would want a big fee for him. I think we'll buy players from other league 1 clubs, maybe a few that aren't getting a regular game in the CCC. Not players from (admittedly now relegated) prem sides.

Finally got the Platinum trophy on Assasin's Creed 2, so I can put that one to bed now. God of war 3 next on the list to play
-
Finally getting close to the end of AC2. Going to try and get all of the platinum trophies. Crikey that's a long game!

Frankie, did £20 on Ice Tea at just over 3's. Paid for a meal out for me and the missus. You sir, are a legend!

Is he out of contract at the end of the season? I would imagine Pardew would want to keep him, so it may depend on what sort of price we may have to pay (would there be a development fee due to Reading, or did they pinch him from somewhere in the non-league? I've got a feeling it's the latter...) He's very raw, but he's pacy, direct and isn't afraid to get into the box. At his age, has the potential to come on a lot as well. I'd be disappointed if he wasn't with us next season.

Character building looks interesting, think Nina is a good booking. 23's on betfair

Definitely didn't hear any boos for NC at all today. Block 547, upper tier. (justified) boos for Mahwhinney, but that was it. Massive cheers for both NC and ML when they were on the big screen after the match. Could well be that there was an isolated pocket of booing within the ground that I wasn't aware of, but sounds like a touch of scaremongering to me...

On the Jubilee line now. COYR!!!
-
Yeah the lines aren't closed on the Sunday, just the Saturday. That makes things a little easier for me. Thanks to those who checked this out properly!

Why have they scheduled engineering works when there is a massive game on at Wembley? Particularly a southern side, who will clearly not have all of their fans coming up on coaches? I guess I'll be getting the Bakerloo then, is Wembley Central much of a walk from the stadium itself? As you say, going to be a bit of a nightmare getting back down South!

Mobaasher, Finian's rainbow, Punchestowns, Sanctuaire and on Raglan Road (e/w) for me today. Hoping for a better result than yesterday, if the race was 10 yards longer, I think Somersby would have come in for me. Thankfully I clawed a bit back on CSKA Moscow last night, otherwise I wouldn't be betting at all today!

Supreme Novices - Dunguib Arkle - Somersby Glenfarclas (16:00) - Garde Champetre Mares Hurdle - Easter Legend (E/W) (on at 21's) Champion Hurdle - What a race! Could be anyone's. I''m keeping my powder dry and sitting back to enjoy this purely as a spectator. Good luck to you all tmw, lets hope we all have something to cheer about come 17:00!
-
Weather forecast does not look good for Thursday or Friday, the two bloody days I am going! Very much looking forward to the festival now, roll on tmw. Sanctuaire in Wednesday's Fred Winter for me, got him at 7's, likely to be a lot shorter come race day.
-
That is an outsider, isn't he injured?! http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/mar/06/sublimity-champion-hurdle-cheltenham
-
Well yeah obviously I wasn't going to back him at those odds! Anyone got any strong fancies for the festival, possibly outside of the obvious frontrunners?
-
Finally got through on the 01271 number and got my ticket. Thanks muchly for tip about this number gents. Rang for about 10 mins and then someone picked up. Lady on the phone told me they only have around 500 left...

Can't wait for this year's festival to start, managed to get time off work to go up for two days this year, instead of just Gold Cup day like normal. Looking for Zaynar to come in for me on the Tuesday backed him everytime he has run since he won the triumph hurdle at last year's festival (although luckily not in his last race!) Was very happy with Solwhit scoping dirty yesterday. Just need something to heckle Go Native now!

Nick Halling, Ed Chamberlain and London Saints...
labibs replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Live in Camden, work just off Euston Rd. Not a single saints fan in my office, sadly a couple of skates though! Next time we're on TV, might be a good idea to all watch it in the same bar or something? -
Yeah it's a good game. I haven't gotten that far through it yet, but I would maybe say it lacks some of the originality of the first game. That may change as you go on further though. It sets up a lot of battles, where you know you are going to have fight a lot of enemies in a set area. This allows you to set traps, choose your position etc. They have played up this element a lot from the first game and it is better. There are some new moves you can learn as well, which can reall change the dynamics of the game. Not going to get a chance to play for a few days now, I'll post back again when I have played a bit more
