I get this sometimes during running, on my right side. I always thought it was because you're liver is on that side of your body. As your diaphragm pulls up, the weight of your liver pulls down, hence pain. I find breathing in on my right step, holding it for 3 paces (breathe out on the 2nd left step) helps. Also, lifting my right arm above my head whilst running, helps as well (although you can look a bit of an idiot!). Like you WC, I always try to not eat at least 2 hours before running and don't take on fluids, as it doesn't do me any favours.

For those who care about club finances etc - annual accounts published
labibs replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Where did you get the accounts from Steve? Any chance of a link? -
Some decent races across the three days, should be good. I'm away at wedding on the Saturday though, so will the GN! My money is on Northen Alliance e/w (40/1 seems massive to me), but I like the look of Oscar Time and Arbor Supreme as well.

Just scanned through it. Ridiculous! Why do so many fans of other clubs really, really hate us? Are we that arrogant? I know some on here think that we should win every game 10-0 in this division, but the majority of fans I meet are quite realistic about how good we actually are. I love them all instantly saying they should put in a bid for Fonte as well!

Someone had brought a very young baby to Charlton away the other night, which I thought was a bit weird. Possible they couldn't get a babysitter or something, but the kid couldn't have been more than 1 yr old. Thankfully didn't cry at all! with kids, think it depends on the child, some will be able to focus for the whole game at a young age, some will need to wait until they are a bit older. Think my first few games I was about 9, went with a friend and his dad. First game was brilliant (4-3 v Ipswich) and I was hooked for 90 mins. Next match was a horrible 1-0 loss at home to Man City and I think my attention did wane for a bit of it.

That would be quite a change mate! I agree about the out of hours demands from the office being a real pain in the neck. It's why I have chosen jobs so far where once I leave the office, I won't be contacted until I am back in again. I figure that you spend a lot of your time in work and if you really dislike it, your life is going to be pretty draining. Also, given our age and situation (I.e. no dependents) now is the time to make a move if we are going to.

Delighted with that winner. Obviously got lucky with Oscar's Well's mistake, but I don't really care! Come on Rupert now!

Two away games in a short space of time. Going to be very tight. As mentioned above, I expect this to be a crucial game and us needing a result in order to get into automatic places. Kind of hope that Plymouth will be relegated by then.

For me today: 13:30 Some Target 14:05 First Lieutenant 14:40 Wayward Prince e/w 16:00 For Non Stop 16:40 Paintball e/w (20/1) / What a charm e/w 17:15 Raise the beat e/w Backed Bensalem at the last minute yesterday, so ended up about £10 up. Good luck to everyone today

Ah Ruby just pips me at the end! Would have been a hell of start to the festival. Great ride from Ruby though, he's back in business.

For me today: 13:30 Spirit Son (stake back if Cue Card wins) 14:05 Ghizao 14:40 Sunnyhillboy 15:20 Peddlar's Cross 16:00 Majimar (got on at 9's last night, before he came in massively!) 16:40 I think Quevega will win, but odds too short for me! 17:15 Tullamore Dew e/w. No massive surprises to be fair! Good luck to all

Nicky the needle's been at it again. Ridiculous stuff. Someone knew as well, he was drifting out a lot on Betfair. Feel sorry for all Antepost backers who didn't get NRNB. Bit of a sour start to the week really

I certainly think we will drop points over the rest of the season. Leyton Orient away I think we will los and Brighton away will be very tough. Peterborough definitely our main rivals IMO. They have some player (CMS/Boyd) that are simply far too good for this league. It's going to be very tight, I fully expect us to go into the last game if the season needing to beat Walsall to guarantee promotion.
-
I've had money on Peddlar's Cross ever since he beat Binocular at Sandown. With us tipping everything else, Hurricane Fly will probably romp in now!
-
Went to school with him. Good lad. Only when I saw your last name on the fantasy group did it twig!
-
I'll prob enter this fantasy thing closer to the date, got Monday off work. Been having a look at some of the races today and really like Paintball in the Fred Winter. Chris, are you any relation to Nick Obee?
-
As mentioned, the better he does in the prem, the more his value will rise (Assuming Blackpool haven't stiffed us with a pre-arranged sale price). Also his attitude means he most likely wouldn't be performing to the same standard, where he still here
-
Quevega will be the massive, massive favourite here and if she turns up on top form, she'll win. Sparky May is unbeaten this season and has beaten both Carole's legacy and L'accordioniste already this season. At decent odds she'd definitely be worth a punt.

to those that went, what was the Bescott like? Might try and go to Saints away there next season...
-
Good work on getting a thread set up Chris. I agree we all need a better performance than last year! I was on French Opera in the last, to see him pipped by Pigeon Island on the line was sickening and just summed up the whole week for me! I will be there with benjii on the Friday, but will be following the races all week. I see Paddy Power are giving a refund on all losing bets if cue card wins the Supreme Novices. That's a decent offer if you fancy one of the other horses in the race but are a little frightened by Cue Card's runs this season (much like I am with Spirit Son)

Adkins brief when hired was to get us out of this division. I'm sure of that and if he doesn't do it, I think it will have to be labelled a failure. I just don't think we can start to panic yet, but until we have played Bournemouth away and got through our games in hand. If we win all those game and go say, six point clear in 2nd place, all the fretting will look a little premature. Definitely agree that I would like to see Barnard start more tricky away games. His persistence and hard work can really help us.
-
I'll admit this press conference did annoy me somewhat as he pretty much just stated what happened rather than giving a reason. I think overall, our position will be skewed until we get the games in hand out of the way. Win all of our games in hand and we're laughing. 3 draws due to fixture congestion and tiredness and our position (and probably Adkins' job) starts to look very precarious. I still believe that 2nd spot is easily achievable if we put a string of results together and am not too worried yet. Defeat at Bompey and another slip up somewhere else and then the pressure will really be on. The team is definitely not playing well at the moment (Man Utd aside) and we really need Lallana to come back into some form.

Didn't we take Pahars after an initial trial as well?
-
I use Betfair and find it pretty decent. You generally get slightly larger odds than you would at any of the other big firms. I don't bet too heavily, just the odd football match and a few quid on the horses now and again. I echo the above points, don't bet money that you cannot afford to lose and don't chase a loss. I opened my account with Betfair through Quidco http://www.quidco.com/ and got £40 back in cash. Took out my original stake and have been betting with that £40 ever since.

Really? You're really asking why someone being overtly racist should have been reported? Then telling them to grow up?
