  1. If we start like last year we will be fine. Just need Clyne and Morgan to chip in with their goals again...
  2. Lol at the comments saying really disappointed we have not sold Pelle and Steve D, because they are both so overrated.
  3. I am pretty sure that the yellow version around that time, with solid blue sleeves and a small collar, was a close rival to that one. We wore it at Wimbledon, when we won 2-1 from a goal down, with Neil Shipps scoring twice away from home
  4. No issue with it, but it is tough to sing Gr-een with two syllables
  5. This.
  6. Because it has not happened before, the decision on points and penalties for Glamorgan remain to be determined. Given that they were punished last season for this, I think they may suffer something greater this time (and to be effective this season). Whether we get two points, watch this space
  7. Both captains said they wanted to carry on, Vince rightly says we were off to a good start and thought we would win. Carbs said to Vince he thought it was dangerous and the umpires ignored the captains anyway.
  8. Match declared no result due to dangerous pitch. Carberry and Adams both hit hard due to unpredictable, steep bounce. Umpires consulted with captains and batsmen. Not sure what was said but it is likely the umpires took their own decision for safety anyway. Less than 10 overs batted by us (all going well apart from the two incidents) so no result
  9. Yep, agreed, pitch will get worse. Still, after they built a good recovery, we turned to our 3rd spinner (Glamorgan only have one) and Smith duly took a wicket with his first ball of the match. They look headed for 180ish, which will take patient batting
  10. Pitch today is indeed tricky. Glamorgan gone from 93-3 to 105-7, Dawson and Crane tearing through them
  11. The fact that he is very nearly the complete midfielder helps us to keep him; if he was a regular PL scorer too, it might well be dfferent. Very glad to have him.
  12. Nice early finish with tomorrow's trip in mind, well done lads
  13. You've changed
  14. Might have been 3-0 to them at HT, but otherwise agree. Remember seeing their teamsheet, all spanish players (unlike the big boys in their league) and so we thought we should be ok against them. Terrific passing and movement against a static SFC, they tore us apart! All that said, we are a much better side now and it should be different this time.
  15. Still judging him (against Reed) based on no time at all in a new team / country
  16. Yep, ditto. Some were trying to work out where the away leg is (middle of nowhere) on the basis that they are going out so might as well make the effort.
  17. Will be drinking plenty in London, in the bar, no worries
  18. Already learning the lessons of Tobygate
  19. Will be plenty of new players to slate before they have even played though
  20. Some people learned nothing from this time last season it seems. The first Prem game has not happened, the transfer window is still open for another month, we have already signed an experienced keeper, a decent looking right back and a quality midfielder. Yet we need to panic about the defence. Wow
  21. So off the mark its not worth a detailed reponse. Wake up and realise that its the best period to be a saints fan in a very long time, and its not due to luck
  22. Early week beers have a lot to answer for
  23. Brilliant performance, notably by Dawson and Vince but plenty of others too
