  1. In the last few months, a coat
  2. Exeter OS report - given that this is bound to have an understandable bias, it still describes how well we played and how we came close to nicking it near the end too http://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10436,00.html
  3. Ticket buying restrictions; need to fund two games at once; same week as MKD "semi final"; some families etc will avoid due to atmosphere. We will sell out no problem but the restrictions / costs means it will go to the general sale
  4. Next season starts in more than 6 months time. In July we were bust, ownerless and looked doomed. In the last six months you may have noticed that a couple of little things have improved, that none of us could have possibly predicted. So good luck to anyone trying to do the same now
  5. After losing on Saturday I hope they suffer a rapid fall down to League 1 whilst we go the other way, and then remain there, achieving very little and attracting no attention at all from anyone, with the crowd numbers down to the serious fanbase (about 8/9k at home).
  6. Killjoy
  7. Or you could just accept that going up this year was a very tough ask with both the -10 AND the huge overhall that we needed on and off the pitch, and that we have done a decent job
  8. Er, Harding been out injured for a while
  9. See Poster's name and you will get a clue
  10. Not much else to laugh about
  11. Luton's treatment sums up the League perfectly (try to remember that the League is effectively an Industry Body, which EXISTS only because of members and its only PURPOSE is to serve its members). Luton got deducted 10 like us, but then the new owners came in, took control, found that the previous regime had been seriously breaking the rules on how they accounted for transfers, that some agents commissions had been channelled through another company or paid in cash and not disclosed, etc etc. The new owners did the decent thing and alerted the League to this (and the Revenue). The League had no knowledge of this previously -and so what did Lord Haw Haw do? Promptly docked the new Luton another 15 points, condemning them to certain relegation to the Conference (although they gave it a decent shot and were not down until April) My best mate is a Hatter and I was at the JPT final with him last year - which they won - and I shouted abuse at Lord Haw Haw as did the 35,000 Hatters.
  12. but Saint Stevo said 7000 left for Pompey match at 4.30 (which would mean 25k sold)?
  13. Er no, I think it was you that missed the point (joke). If SaintSarah can correctly guess a phone number that worked ok, then I can correctly guess some customer numbers to buy all the remaining tickets
  14. so you think every single person on the database should all queue up individually? that queue this morning would have stretched all the way to the sh**hole that is pompey if so
  15. Following the tip above re the 01271 phone number, I am going to keep adding a random digit to the customer numbers that I do have and order all 7000
  16. oh yes..........got my two tickets! After 3.5 hours of queuing, much banter, some frustration, zero success at getting through to any phone number whilst there, I have two for the Skates and two for dirty Leeds. Well, my brother has them at least, after he did all that for me - top man
  17. that will go to other creditors (though not until after the costs of the Liquidation or Admin)
  18. If you are fully secured, and you dont think the value of your security is impacted by what happens on the football side - so if you have some land which is worth more than you are owed, and that will not change whatever happens on the 10th - then there is no need to do anything. If you have an ordinary unsecured debt, then the club will definitely be worth more in Admin than if it is wound up, so you have a better chance of getting some cash. That has to be the case for most creditors. But the problem remains that someone has to fund the trading costs while in Admin, and there has to be a good chance of a buyer out there. The Court will only grant Admin if these things can be demonstrated as realistic
  19. Just to be clear - it is possible to put the company into Admin while a petition for Winding Up has been presented, but not yet heard - (i.e. before the 10th). Creditors can do this. Directors can ask the Court but could well be refused. Once (if) the Winding Up order is made, there is nothing left to be done. It is finished
  20. Yes correct except your last point - if the Winding Up order is made in SIX days time, with no one having applied for Administration before that date, then PFC will be in Liquidation. The full meaning of "Winding Up" is that the Court will order the company to be Compulsorily Wound Up, which means it will be in Liqiudation, with the Official Receiver appointed as Liquidator. PFC will cease trading immediately. I continue to believe that is highly unlikely - it makes no sense for any football club to do this as all players become free agents. But Administration needs (1) funding and (2) a buyer in the near future, as was the case with Saints
  21. Yep - the ESPN story says that Gaydamak has the first charge on the same land, if so then Chairnrai has to wait in line. It depends what the land is worth - it needs to be £50m to cover them both in full, and more than £30m before Chainrai gets anything
  22. Agreed. I think he just wants to be in the driving seat over (some of) the decisions, so he has some chance of a controlling what happens to his debt. Doubt he has any interest in the future of the football club, just what happens to the land he has as security But then if the ESPN story above is correct, and his "takeover" is not even valid, then it just keeps on getting better!
  23. Andover - irony is not your thing then?
