Well its not the weekend but I did do my usual thrash around Swinley Forest (Bracknell) MTB course, enjoying the sun and the relative quiet. I did pass a whole "troop" of about 10 riders all on identical new green Whyte hardtails, who seemed not to have yet mastered much in the way of riding ability to justify their expensive purchases, or taking the Red trail. They found it hard going and were stopped looking bemused as I went past them. For my part, there were two near misses with trees (Guide RS brakes are well worth the cash ) but at the end of 2 hours I was grinning and exhausted. Roll on more decent weather!
