  1. Yes. you are worried. you said (after 2 league games, and now a narrow defeat to Prem side) that it is NOT what is needed for a promotion campaign in League 1, it seems. I am not worried.
  2. We...will...not...play...teams...as...good...as....Bolton....very....often...if...at...all. chill
  3. read the other posts TT - you seem to have overlooked that we have been pants at the start of the season for years and it does not mean we are doomed.
  4. yep, sorry I meant the first match. I see that he has kissed and made up now. Be interesting to see if its us who have enquired, we were strongly linked to him when we signed Sir Ricky
  5. Shame you could not match him. Blew it with an unnecessary comma.
  6. hope he has lost his password for this site then
  7. you've done it now. i had moved on , forgotten (temporary) about all of this. now i am having flashbacks involving Keane. thanks
  8. Hatters season ticket holder mate of mine (last season as well) says he is way down the pecking order, pre-season was noticeably worse. He was not even on the bench in the last match. Whilst Luton are a "big team" in the Conf, they are not that flush so hence may cash in for someone they dont think they need
  9. havent we just signed a midfielder? I know he is a different type from Butt, but right now I think a pacy winger is a higher priority. Actually anyone at all with pace would be good. So not Butt, sorry, even though he would defo DAJFU
  10. Been on hols, but just seen this thread and so will sign my existing team up - cheers guys
  11. Craddock now 4th choice striker in a (decent) non league club - gone off the boil in a short timeframe
  12. Sorry did not see your post before doing mine (laptop slow) or would not have bothered repeating most of what you said. Spot on
  13. We should go for the win and we should get at them straightaway. A win is a win and is just what the club needs; a win against a Prem side, whether weakened or not, would do wonders for us. Even a good performance would help and we have nothing to lose. We cant worry about freak injuries (other than sensibly resting anyone who has a knock etc) - if we did we would not risk anyone ! We did not have a game last week so most should be ok. Go for it
  14. Well done AP and NC. Hope he turns out to be mustard but very low risk if not. Amazing that you could actually pull this off, given the countless doom merchants on here convinced that they knew otherwise
  15. This. FFS the number of people on here who seem to think that no transfer activity at all happens in the last 5 days of August. Utd did not win their first two games. Fergie out
  16. Events of the last 10 days, and the build up to kick off from Weds onwards in particular, dont seem to have been mentioned here. You might say the players dont care, or should be able to deal with it. I happen to think that for those in and around the club in the last 10 days, more impacted than any of us, it is not ideal preparation as a minimum. Goes for any player approaching any game at any club.
  17. Do they charge people who want to take photos of their online content then? Or do you have to buy pics of their web pages from their agent?
  18. ignoring a point, or failing to notice one worth mentioning, is not the same as missing. FWIW
  19. Agreed but players are not used to clubs standing up to their demands, especially when the clubs want to sign them. Its not that many years ago, when Leeds were in their spending heyday, that Robbie Fowler moved to Man City. Leeds, as well as paying half his wages after he moved, paid - get this - all THREE agents on that deal. One acting for Leeds, one for City and one for Fowler. What did these three find to fill their day? Counting the cash presumably
  20. Agents dont do much, in return for lots of cash, maybe? If you are a League one player at, say, Bristol Rovers and hear that Saints want to sign you and double your wages and build a promotion case around you, how hard does the agent have to work to secure you that deal? QED
  21. Its not just the Sun. The Times, Guardian and Telegraph are all reporting this and I have not looked at the others. It will raise sod all in income. It does not save us any cash. It is making us look, at best, silly. We dont have to have the media on our side, but I prefer it when they are. end of moan
  22. There are more important things right now; but anyway I think NC is (once again, sadly) scoring an stunning own goal when it comes to PR on this. Barmy.
  23. Spot on sir
  24. First you said it was unpopular; now all of the people proving otherwise are suckers. Provoking replies = 8/10, decent effort. Credibility = 1/10. Must try harder
  25. Disappointed that you did not start a poll to answer this
