They wont go anywhere yet. NC just needs to butt out of running the team, stop making idiot decisions and show some humility. We would have signed another player before the window shut but what chance without a manager.

Clearly the players did not get with AP and are so much happier now he is gone. Presume our new manager will be NC as Wilkins is clueless

+1 I recall being gobsmacked / very happy that NC and ML had signed up AP in the first place, given they had all of 10 minutes of experience in football at that stage. Despite not liking NC's style or a number of his minor decisions, I remain hopeful he will pull someone equally impressive out of this mess.

of course you are right in the ideal world but get real. i am not saying they deliberately played badly but its human nature that they might also be a bit shell shocked

I am not calling for NC's head, but it seems to escaped your attention that more than the majority of the team are AP's buys and sacking him on Monday after a cracking win may not just be unpopular with the crowd. Just because 11 players turned up that might have played under AP (Martin apart...) does not mean that they will play their nuts off.

no. there are numerous examples of most a team being sacked, and one person being retained to take training / act as caretaker so that players have someone they know. Amazed Merrington does not know this. Often the lone guy is also sacked when a new man and his team arrive, but not always

You believe NC is looking for an excuse to act. Really, based on what evidence? Eddie Howe is a good judge at plucking an unknown, I agree. But he has to choose unknowns, we dont, so what makes you think that Eddie Howe could attract better players / retain the current players better than AP?
