I think there would be plenty of room in 1 container for £40m in fivers. In fact I think you would get £250,000 in a large suitcase, so a million in 4, and therefore 40 million in 160. The average volume of a suitcase is about 0.37 cubic metres, and a standard 40' ISO container about 252 cubic metres. So you could actually get about 681 suitcases, or about 172 million quid in fivers.

Official..Southampton appoint Mark Hughes.

With a strike rate of 30:1 for us Hughes is well placed to whip our rubbish striking into shape. That must be some kind of record for a lead-the-line forward. -
To be fair, if you live in Plumstead it's more likely to be Charlton.

I don't collect programmes, but was given this a couple of years ago: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AksChmMNU4qLimTxHy8ItxfzAYOJ I think it's fascinating. From the "perfect cuisine" of the Polygon to the bloodbath and biased reffing at Newcastle. The fact that we only had 2 players of 6ft in the entire squad of 30, to the doom-laden paragraph at the beginning of page 14. Lots of gems.

Tapatalk used to be good but it went bad a long time ago. I guess you know the site has settings for a mobile view?

If we sign him, I'm hoping for an avalanche of Quincy Promes/Jones puns.

Nope. As you said, homophobia is wrong. Driving it out of football is right. I'm not sure of the point you're making about the Welsh and sheep - as witless as it is, it's not homophobia is it. Or are you linking them in a political-correctness-gone-mad Daily Mail kind of way?

And him, obviously.

David Armstrong in a different class to the rest of those. Honorable mention to Davies first time round.

Behind the scenes at Saints on BBC2 tonight

Nothing to see here. -
Because that wouldn't have occurred to me. Far from being there first I'm constantly there last with this kind of thing. To be able to demonstrate any knowledge at all was momentarily thrilling, but I will now go back to half watching Bake Off and Match of the Day (but only when we win).

The writing is nothing on the previous series - they've lost the subtelty completely. Every scene and conversation relies on exactly the same gag (all these people are jabbering fools) delivered at an increasingly frenetic pace. If you haven't seen it, I recommend the first series. Actually go back to Twenty Twelve, which has an identical premise set around the run up to the 2012 Olympics - even better. Wrong forum I think.

Interesting article about a man fighting his demons. Maybe goes some way to explaining his performances for us, but it's a sad tale and you have to wish him the best. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jun/29/steven-caulker-mental-illness-addictions-gambling-drinking-qpr

Thanks all. I'm curious because I quite often attend games on my own, buying a general sale ticket when I can. I usually sit in the Chapel/Itchen corner. The family seating is now seems to be extended to both corners of the Chapel (they've started to mark the plan on the ticket site as such), so I'm guessing it might not be so easy for a single chap to buy one there any more. Who knows?

Could anyone tell me the blocks that always stand throughout the game. I'm guessing 40-42, but how far around the Kingsland corner does it go? Which is the first block that I could guarantee a nice sit down for 90 minutes? I'm 92 you know.

"at 20 top flight matches in April and May" is what they've actually said.

Metro reporting "Puel takes Saints star Tadic to task over rant'. Accused Puel of lack of respect over being constantly subbed apparently. Uh ho.

I thought incidents could only be reviewed if they were not seen and dealt with by the referee or officials at the time. "Dealt with" will also include the referee deciding that he saw the incident at the time and either judged it not to be an offence, or it was an offence and was punished it with a free, card, etc. The ref didn't give a free kick, and presumably reported that he didn't see the elbow - therefore it can be reviewed. The foul on VvD was punished by the ref at the time with a free kick - therefore no review. Those are the rules, and I think they've followed them. Neither cock-up or conspiracy I'm afraid.

Fears realised. Thanks for the advice all.

You don't have any idea about how much support I have given the club in the last 40 years, or my current circumstances that lead me to ask the question of fellow fans. I'm sure you're well fixed for a ticket, and good luck to you.

I've got two homes and one away purchase on my account for 16/17. Does anyone think it's worth buying a membership with a view to getting a final ticket? Cheers.

Poor free kick. Poor goalkeeper.

Better side, but no confidence in us scoring. Forster and Tadic poor - not just in this game but over the season. VvD obviously far too good for us. Too much rotation, yes, but not sure we have the quality for it to make any real difference, so might as well. Top half finish would be an achievement. Good afternoon, and back to one post every two years.

Is this for real? Please tell me this is some kind of hyper-irony that I'm too old/stupid to understand.
