If ABK isn't going then we should look to use his quality in the squad. This should be where the multi-club model comes in and move one of the younger lads out to Turkey or France for 6 months so that they get some competitive football... Then reassess in January, either ABK or Bednarek will go I assume...

The same TalkSport that employs Keys & Gray? Absolutely no standards there so Jenas will fit in just fine. Wouldn’t surprise me if they employed Adam Johnson….

All the Prem gambling sponsors are Indonesian market firms. Fun88, W88, BK8, Net88, SportsBet etc… If the gambling firms are still offering silly money we’d be stupid not to take it realistically. Edit: And they’re still legal until 26/27.

To those complaining about “crab” football, and not utilising the pace in our attacking players, do you not realise that everyone will sit deep and let us have the ball, not allowing space for our attackers to use their pace? The “crab” football is designed to draw them out and create space for our players to exploit. The alternative is we flood forward and try to get the ball through 9/10 players on the edge of their box, mostly at this level solid defenders who will kick and head it away all night with our tricky pacey players not getting a sniff. Then once we’ve got everyone in their half they counter us and score. Kind of how we used to play against Citeh… Unfortunately we’re in the Championship with Championship players, only Leicester can claim to have a Premier League 1st 11 and be able to play on the front foot and break teams down easily all season!!

Guessing Wood comes if ABK goes, all seems to have gone quiet on that front though?? If Wood comes then Swans get Edwards to replace so a good old game of deadline day dominoes, and someone likely to end up selling without getting the replacement!!

Because making a quick £15m and putting the whole £220m investment at risk is what will make them a great profit? They’re not asset strippers and will do what they think is best for the future prospects of the business…

Defensively we’re poor, but we’ve only added Captain Mannering at left back so you can’t expect a lot. The weakness in midfield is more worrying, little creativity without Alcaraz, and no bite. Downes should help, but will need more…

Surely kit launch being delayed until we've signed some players who might actually be wearing it next season...

Away fans at the King Power are in what would be the Chapel/Kingsland corner. Interesting that their family stand is next to the away fans, and their Northam is referred to as a Kop...

Rodgers to be the next one out the door? Comments similar to what triggered Parker leaving B*mpey…

The window finally SLAMMED shut, and we’ve seen what Sport Republic are all about. A few things need huge overhaul this summer and it’s fair to say they have delivered. New coaches through the door, recruitment supercharged with the appointment of Joe Shields and a focused recruitment strategy in place once again. The signings that have come in have all either proven their ability, or show obvious promise at this level. And we’ve got rid of some of the deadwood with efforts to move on others. We didn’t get our forward player, but we weren’t so confident we sent a plane (twice). This shows that SR are happy to spend IF the deal is right. There’s no panic and with 13 games until the January window there doesn’t need to be. To not be limbered with another £20m flop is as much a forward step as any signing! Overall a 9.5/10 summer for the much needed club overhaul, maybe Semmens was right when he said we were hamstrung by China blocking Gao’s cash…

If Spurs are really in for Dan James then Leeds might be in for Gakpo as replacement. If so they’ll beat us on money using the proceeds from the DJ deal. We still haven’t sold anyone… Next 24 hours is going to be a rollercoaster with deals triggering other deals all over the place!!

That’s a link that pre dates Reading announcing him signing for them. I’m sure Charlie Austin would have made sure QPR didn’t go all in for Long as he would’ve made CA look like a Weston beach donkey…

£64m loan with a “substantial sum” payable on relegation. On review they think the substantial sum may be as little as £25m. But still a lot to raise and cover wages of a prem squad. Basically the parachute payment covers the loan instead of the wages, for a club with little to no cash reserves.

A big part of this is S. Armstrong, the playbook moves with KWP & JWP are opening up space all over the pitch, giving RP & ME space & time to operate. The Chele/Broja partnership is also coming good, with the pair complementing each other perfectly. We’ve pretty much got to a level where we have round pegs on round holes, and everyone knows their job. Subtle tweaks to the system are enough to confuse opposition as everyone is operating at 100%. FF putting in 9/10 every week is helping too, but time will tell if we can rely on that…
-
Why hasn’t Ralph brought on Lyanco and moved Stephens to RB, obvious at half time JWP is the difference in quality in the middle of the park! Anyone else thought that S. Armstrong is waaay off the pace? And AlienLucy is Sunday league again…

Sky are quoting Origi available for £10m, surely worth a punt if the wages aren’t extreme, can’t think he’d be on more than we were paying Ings!
-
Is anyone else watching the U21’s game? He’d struggle to get a game down the M27!! Two dodgy fouls already that could’ve been given yellow if actually seen, and he doesn’t have a clue how to mark a striker. He’s up against some quality England lads admittedly, but U21’s is not Prem standard!! Worrying!!

Brazil - Argentina semi maybe, but I doubt we'll see them both in the final...
