whats the fucking point of these on field replays when they just show them what they want to see. anything can be made to look good from the right angle. its a pen all day long
-
has salisu picked up a knock? sticks with redmond but not our best cb from last game...
-
I doubt Pep will play KDB twice in a week after a long lay off. Won't change the outcome mind.
-
we look terrible. like a lower league side offering absolutely nothing
-
djenepo and redmond. jeez
-
Never a DM. He is a box to box all day long. Romeu is a DM

i would have a very good breakfast so that even if i do not have lunch, my dinner will be enough
-
yeah i dont think he could be worse than mccarthy though so there's that but more annoying is why the club does not seem to see this as a position that needs an urgent upgrade like we do

https://theathletic.com/2806614/2021/09/03/sam-johnstone-high-on-the-shortlist-as-southampton-begin-search-for-new-goalkeeper/ "buying a goalkeeper is viewed behind the scenes as an absolute priority" "McCarthy, 31, will need fresh competition for the starting spot in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team"

imagine shelling out 30m for dan fucking james. madness
-
at this level you need to be putting the second chance away. no excuses. for me he should have blasted it after his touch, its only because he tries to be too fancy that the defender gets a block in
-
both the athletic and fabrizio romano reporting ronaldo to united is in advanced talks now
-
@Scoobysaint got there before me!
-
if you listen to the torino journo that was interviewed by the total saints podcast he says the fans hatred of him was from when he celebrated a goal he scored against them whilst on loan at bologna, they never got over that

Jack Stephens' passion & has he improved?

with the cb choices we have now, i would say bednarek is our best header of the lot at the moment. hopefully this is an area the new cb would add to -

thought he had a brilliant game. he does bring that intensity which we as a team do lack. stephens usually can do well with a run of games, but then we all know there is that one big mistake in him which is usually what sends him down the pecking order again -
got to give ralph credit there. love the subs. 2 subs before 70mins for a change
-
The last time Norwich came up City spanked them for 5 as well so the gulf is the same 😉

Im just struggling to see how the club has managed to identify him as what we need in this situation...in a time when we badly needed a leader who could step into this backline and make a difference. we badly needed an actual defender and we go for a ball playing type. I want to get behind the team and player but seriously hard to look past the facts here. Serie A- beyond the top teams its not the strongest league around nowadays. Torino- weak team in a weak league, finished 17th and 16th last two seasons, conceding 60+ goals each. Experience- not a lot, 21 starts last year, 15 year before, 13 on loan at bologna.
-
yeah exactly. if i was signing up now i would be pissed with the level of work sheldon gives. carl were the good days, not sure if we will get it but a change would be welcome
-
the saves McCarthy makes are the ones you expect any keeper at this level to make. he rarely makes any that surprises you or catches the eye. this has been the case since he had that one good season. agree with you about the crosses though. so basically they both are pretty shite but right now i would give the nod to FF
-
i feel that RH is only starting AM due to his slightly better passing and is better with the ball at his feet than forster. problem is forster is not entirely helpless at this as seen last season plus he can actually make some saves that make us go yeh good save
-
this is it. first- both their faults for sure. as a defender there should be no way you can be letting that drop if there was no call which i 100% belive AM did not give as he is pretty helpless in those situations. to his credit he did claim or punch a few balls throughout the game second and third- pretty hard to put it all on him for these imo. its exactly as alanh says. a good keeper makes those saves but we know AM isnt one would still rather forster starts every game
-
how good have both full backs looked. tino especially
-
why the tease mate
