Interesting statistic as Ted always had the bigger profile - Agree Boyer was in Teds Shadow but Ted could not have been the player he was without Phil Boyer who always gave 100% imo - Ted could be a bit lazy !!
-
Agreed - I rarely saw a player run and work as hard as Boyer - perfect foil for McDougall
-
John Mcgrath - rumour has it he was kept in a cage and fed raw meat before let out each game.
-
Fantastic result - well done Saints Great substitutions from Pardew with changes in formation
-
Great result -well done Saints AND coming from behind !!!!

I think that may have been mine also. The Bristol Rovers game was appaling though !
-
Lambert, Hammond and Murty (shame about the proness to injury but I like his attitude)
-
Excellent post and sums up my feelings exactly

If Lowe was the only credible alternative to saving the club (or the value of his shares) we were doomed from the outset
-
He's been renamed Tommy fourpast apparently !!
-
If he had manageD to get it out and made the 10G'S it probably would not have been in his book !!

Trouble is, it is the thin end of a very unsavoury wedge. As a spectator it can make you question what you are watching, and should be dealt with firmly.
-
Interesting that Barclays were so accommodating to Portsmouth but not to us !
-
Nicely put - Wenger is an excellent mentor for Theo that few players will ever have
-
I also heard the Pardew interview and was impressed. He knows the shortcomings of the team and spoke about the large squad. He also mentioned that the fact that our two forwards who do not want to be hear was a current issue but would be unlikely to be resolved until the transfer window closed.

Players have been arriving since the start of Pardews tenure and are gradually strengthening the team. To assume that players are going to suudenly become overnight sensations when they are not used to playing together is naive. It will take time but it will happen.
-
I think that Ron manager wins tonights star prize !! .......... a ticket to the next game
-
Unfortunately, it will not happen overnight We are still learning and geling- They will be ok - give it time

or posts on an internet message board !!

I think the attendance will be down on the opening game but I believe that our confidence in winning games is a still a little fragile. Last season was dire and whether you agree or not, if we don't win home gains it does affect attendance. We like to see our team win - its a no brainer and the rubbish that was served up with last year will take a while to exorcise from the mindset. Fortunately we have now a new manager and a team building program which in the medium term will do us proud. Time to lower the immediate expectations but look forward to the future
-
Nothing on that opening post I cannot agree with. Fans do have high expectations however - that is why they are fan'atic's and I don't there is anything wrong with that. We have a sensible management structure though and tbh I don't think the expectations on this forum are OTT. It is great to have a team to support. Most people i believe know that this club may not be an overnight sensation but we will get there imo

The problem with loaning out Pulis is that he has very little playing experience and what he has is woeful. What sort of club would therefore want him. Perhaps could do a deal with the any Saga transfer - buy one, get one free !!!
