It's not so much tonight i'm worried about (Played a good side even match could have gone either way etc) but it's the others. Bristol are the best team to of come to SMS this season and before that we have played some very average at best sides and got nothing. Today I felt as long as we can get 6 points this week we will be fine. This though will not happen and if we don't win on Saturday then I think a lot of fans will start to turn on AP and 1 win from 10 is not good enough. I expected us on single figures possibly outside the relegation zone with a couple of hammerings of the likes of Brentford and Colchester along the way. Things have got to change and fast or else we will be the lowest placed team on the south coast next season which is really looking like a reality now. Thanks Rupert

Saints 1-1 Bristol Rovers - First Half and Half Time

Anyone know the reason why we can never get commentary on Solent over the net? COYR's -
Never went yesterday but I feel we are starting to improve now. It is vital that 6 points are gained this week and if we can start to win home games and keep getting a point or more ideally we will be fine come May. Personally I would be quite happy this season to finish comfortable mid table and reach JPT final and have a good go at automatic promotion next year. Mainly due to just starting a new job which I have to work a fair number of Saturdays but come next year will be much easier to get the Saturdays off

Reading all this reminds me of the day we got Hoddle his P45 at Spurs when we won 3-1 and were immense that day

2 of the best games i've been to watching Saints have been the 3-3 at Old Trafford and the 2-2 at Highbury relegation season. But they can't compare as to how well we played beating Chelsea 4-2 on New Years Day and Liverpool 2-1 just before Christmas 04 I believe then stuffed Pompey at SMS the next game. We played amazing both games and completely played both teams off the pitch. Chelsea especially

Anyone know if the Ultimate Team option will be available in this version really enjoyed it on 09

I pay my money and if the team play crap like at Huddersfield I will boo them and from the sounds of it they have deserved it on a few times this season and numerous in the past couple of years. The players deserve to know when they have been cack imo
-
Agree with what your saying but the fact we have only draws to our name and against the likes of Stockport, Colchester etc imo is worrying. Hopefully in a months time we will be in the + points section but if not it wil be a very long battle to avoid another relegation. So basically all for giving a bit of time but results do need to come especially at home
-
The problem is it's already saying it's getting better but looking at the league table we have an absolute mountain to climb games at home to Brentford and away to Stockport we simply HAVE to win and it now means thats another month when you will view the league table and see SFC bottom.
-
IMO at the moment getting mid-table would be an achievement so hopefully alongside that we can have a decent run in the JPT. People can say what they like about performances but ultimately its the result that matters. Unfortunately draws will get us nowhere
-
Played fairly well possibly the best league performance by the lads. But the thing is it was 2 points dropped against a useless side. I thought James had an excellent game in CM and the sooner we can replace Saga the better I get the feeling he thinks he is too good for this level. He isn't, we definitely need 2 wingers to hit the by-line and another striker. The game today should of been wrapped up just after half time

The guests were truly awful this morning it was as if they knew no-one would be watching due to the cricket. Couldn't watch it cause I just can't stand Wright-Phillips such an arrogant arsehole. And as for the other two don't really find Collins that funny and Preston went from being in a decent band to being a complete tool almost overnight. Thank god the cricket was on
-
Sorry I think you'll find I was criticising the player when he played for us in the Premier League at a time when we had a strong side. Very quick to jump ship when things started to go bad and not heard from him since.
-
He certainly was legendary at running round in circles. Beating his man then giving him the chance to tackle by taking it round him again. Agree with the person that said Arron Davies. I think we are desperate for someone who is gonna hit the by-line and cross the ball back. I'm sure thats the sort of service Lambert would thrive on. Not sure if Davies is that player but would certainly be better than what we have at the mo

I bet some muppets even clapped their 'heroes' off the pitch last night. I only listened to the game but it sounded disgraceful on the pitch nothing at all to get excited about. I'm all for getting behind the team when they deserve it but it goes both ways. If the players continue to put in performances like last night and Saturday which I witnessed and apparently last nights was even worse they deserve the boo's etc. I'm hoping things pick up before Stockport but I can't see it
-
TBH when you just play a GK Vs 11 men we were always gonna lose. They sounded absolutely shocking once again. I'm sure some of the fans there will clap their 'heroes' off once again. For me tonight speaks volumes for how far this club has dropped. Unfortunately Mr Pardew has a lot to answer for aswell and dare I say it some may start to call for his head if things don't pick up quickly. Everyone knew the rebuilding job was gonna take a while but i'm sure I speak for many when I state that I did expect a performance and some points tonight not Swindon constantly attacking and Kelvin keeping us in the game. This was a Swindon side who just 2 weeks ago got thumped by Gillingham. Players need to be brought soon and not just to replace the likes of Wotton and Lancashire who many have already mentioned but too replace nearly all the outfield players. It's no use having the so called 'best striker' in League one if he has no supply like on Saturday and as it sounded once again tonight.

Swindon V Saints, first half & half time chat..
NN2 Saint replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Sounds just like Sat absolute crap Better get the road maps out and start looking for the likes of Accrington etc. Because it started at -10 points but the way things are going it won't be long till we are 15 points at least away from 2nd bottom. Gonna be a long season again why don't things ever go right for SFC? -
Only problem is that there is no train back to the area for tonights game which is annoying. So will have to make do with trying to find the match on net whilst watching the champions league
-
Exactly what we need the league game at SMS last season he was immense just sat in front of their deence all match long. Saw him play a few times for Everton and he was always excellent for them too. If true would be great hopefully
-
That was awful. New Season same old crap. Players weren't up for it from the start and no-one seemed interested felt sorry for the front 2 as they had no service what so ever. I'm sure Bristol Rovers wingers were told to hit the byline and cross the ball back don't remember one time when ours did that. Another great performance by Kelvin kept the score respectable at least because 3-1 flattered us should of been 6 or 7. Was also dissapointed at seeing some of our fans clapping the players off after yet another lacklusture performance. It makes me wonder if they had seem the same rubbish that I had. Did enjoy the day though and hope we are still able to go to Huddersfield again next year.

Hope we can somehow keep Rasiak have always preferred him to Saga. Also has a much better song about him that Saga
-
All I ever see in Shrewsbury is Liverpool shirts which is quite amusing as the people I live with all support Everton. Looking forward to seeing if any fellow Saints are on my Shrewsbury to Huddersfield train for tomorrows match
-
I'm now leaving in Shrewsbury and was very shocked last week upo seeing a car with a Saints number plate and dice hanging from the mirror in one of the local retail parks.

I was there today atmosphere was amazing and to be honest after lunch in our section no-one seemed interested in the cricket after lunch the banter with the aussies was a lot better. Some of the bowling was terrible tho and the aussies never really seemed under any sort of pressure. Well worth £15
