Thats it, i just can't get the pc to install Java. As soon as i click on the link to down load and install Java the page just goes blank. Its the same for flash player. I have zapped the security right down, disabled spyware etc.Can anyone recommend a PC engineer that i could drop the machine of to because this one has got me beat. I have managed to fix most things in my time but this is just stupid.

Hi All I recently got a second hand Dell desktop. It has Vista and appeared to work ok. I did uninstall Morzilla and then went to use IE7. For some reason i can't use BBC iPlayer or any other on line video as the screen asks for Javascript to be enabled. I have looked in the tools section and Javascript box is ticked. Also for some reason maybe related, i can not install Flash player. I get to the download page but then no further. I don't even get a warnning on the top of the page asking if its OK to install an active x file. Could it be that the Java installed was for Morzilla and thus i will need the right Java for IE7

I had the Scalelectrix 6 wheel march, was crap even then, the Lotus 76 would blow me away.

Could not disagree with that, Bristol is insane, 36 degree banking, half mile track. It looks like a coliseum for racing. I would love to go there and i bet the noise from 40 odd cars is amazing.

I would say that Phoenix is not one of the best tracks for Nascar as its so flat. You can't beat Daytona or Talledega for pure speed. If you get a chance go to one of the super speedways.

What about Jimmy Johnson, 1st driver to win 3 Nascar championships in a row since Cale Yarbird this weekend. This guy can drive anything. If you have not been to a Nacsar race then i can highly recommend it if you find yourselfs in the USA. Tickets are cheap, the atsmosphere is great, beats F1 hands down when you see the drivers bump drafting at 200mph.

I drive a black Skoda VRS, you would not believe the number of cars that get out of my way on the motorway or slow right down when they see me.

I got nicked the other day doing 36 in a 30. I have taken up the offer of doing a driver awareness trainning course instead of getting 3 pts. Has anyone done one of the courses and what do you have to do. I had to pay £74 instead of the £60 but feel it was worth it to stop 3 more pts going on my licience.

I also go done recently with a company car and thought that as the letter of intention to prosecute was after 14 days that i had got away with it as it was over a month from the date. Sorry but no you will get fined as the Law would have contacted the lease company first of all to get your details. You should just get 3 pts and £60.

That was nerve racking, i reminded me on being on the pit wall at Silerstone when my friend Seb Hohenthal won the British Formula Renualt championship a couple of years ago in the last race. Any number of things can go wrong but thankfully Lewis's car held up. Looking forward to next year with big fat rear slicks back on the cars again.

My present company in the UK is looking for emplyees to go out there. We have many offices in the world but Dubai is the one area they are building up business in. I was out there working in the dry dock some years ago but can see how much it has change from the media and am wondering if it has been built up to far now and can carry on in this current economic climate. The package would inc housing and a car. Do you have to pay any local tax for the living accomodation etc. Thanks for the info you have put out already. As soon as i get everything in writing from my employer i will let you know what the deal is. With regards to the traffic i see nothing has rearly changed there then as it was very bad 10 years ago. Also is it true you still have to wash your car evey week.

Hi All I may have an oppertunity to work in Dubai for a year. Can anyone offer advise about the pros and cons of working in Dubai. I am a Mechnical and Electrical QS and worked in Dubai 10 years ago for just a month but i know things have moved on a rapid rate over there. I would miss the family and will have to give up the season ticket but Tax free earnings of approx 70k + is very temping.
