  1. Had our Barca ****s on during the game, even the misses was mesmerised by Messi. Best team won by a mile.
  2. Thanks, will take a detour there on the way to work
  3. Turns out that our stopcock in the pavement was leaking (news to us) and they just turned up to carry out a repair whilst we were at work. The workmanship was very poor, the tarmac they put down was not finnished and just looks a complete mess. Crap all over the road, pavement ,my drive and all over the front of the daughters car which is prooving hard to come off. Not happy about this. I contacted Southern water two weeks ago but suprise suprise have heard nothing back. Does anyone know who the civils contractor that carry out Southern Water work in the Bitterne area. Just want to give someone a piece of my mind.
  4. This will split F1 If Murdoc wins he will offer huge money, wonder if the Premier football cash will be hit
  5. Brilliant show, the Wall is as relevent today as it was 20 years ago.
  6. Blame the liar Blair. His wife and her company are one of the biggest earners in Human rights laws. Funny how he got it voted in and then his wife makes a packet.
  7. He does still live in Marlow
  8. He got the laser eye surgery for free as he now indorses the company. He did mention this during the Q&A. He also had a go at the hair treatment but could not get on with the wig that you have to wear (Same company as Shane Warne) he did not realise how bad his eye site was until he had the surgery. He was very good with all our clients. He is also on a diet as he hit 20 stone last Christmas which made me feel quite good about my weight. Also spent £10k on Olympic tickets and will find out what he has got next week.
  9. Can anyone come up with a good question to ask him at our company do tonight
  10. Nothing in the right side that refers to filters. Just checked the bios and the drive does come up on the boot up screen
  11. Anyone been, thinking of taking the wife there for a short break next Feb
  12. Got as far as Highlight this key ({4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}), on the right pane, and then check if Upperfilters and Lowerfilters value are present. If so, please right click on the values and select "Delete" to remove them. Could not see anything that said filters, what are the filters
  13. thanks for the info will give it a try. Disc management only shows my c drive, 2 USB drives and my nas drive. its the 2nd internal thats gone missing. other than that i am impressed with win 7
  14. This is driving me mad. Just updated from Vista to Win 7. The second hard drive comes up on the bios start up screen but when windows kicks in its just not there. I had a look at Disk management but its not shown there either. I have re booted with the drive disconnected and then re booted again with it connected thinking that windows would see it but this dos not work either
  15. I have a WD 1T Live Book NAS. Very easy to use and the Sony Bluray saw it with no complications but the only problem i have had is that the MKV files that are on the drive do not appear on the bluray menu. I have been told that this is the fault of the media sever twonkey not reconising MKV files. The latest version does but WD have not released an update that allows you do dom this.
  16. Bansko in Bulgaria is very good, ignore the snobs that say Bulgaria is backwards. I have skied all over Europe and America. For the money you can't beat Bansko. Very good lift system apart from the one Gondola to get up to the main base as that can get very busy but if you get to the lift early enough theres no problem. You can always drive up the short mountain road and park for free instead. The pistes are bashed very well. Good for all grades of skiers, off piste is very good if you know where to go. Beer and food approx 50% cheaper than France (I just returned from Flaine and it was costing me 7 euros for a beer). The ski pass is approx £150. The area is big enough to last 5 days. Get a flight to Sofia via BA and drive approx 2.5hrs to the resort. They have built a new road paid for by the EU that has made a great diffrence to the transfer. Bansko Ski school is well recommended If its your 1st time get lessons on the dry slope at Southampton to get the hang of things. Don't bother with the other Bulgarian ski resorts as they are not worth it and the snow is not reliable, saying that its not been too good anywhere in Europe this year. If you need more info contact Glynis at the Devonshire Lodge. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g318870-d659343-Reviews-Devonshire_Lodge-Bansko_Blagoevgrad.html Also have a look at the Snowheads forum.
  17. Avoriaz is a great family ski resort but as others have said skiing as a family 1st time is not cheap but always very good fun.
  18. I changed from being a sparky to Ski instructor a few years ago but now work as an M/E QS
  19. Humble Plum in Bitterne Village allow dogs
  20. 15 Saints fans going to Flaine on the 12th of March and thanks to Sky will even make it back for the game on the 19th as its now an eve kick off, snow looking good at last and the temps have come right down. Second time here and can recommend the ski area. Loads of milage and plenty of off piste. My fav resort is Verbier, some of the best off piste ever and great night life but the exchange rate killed it for me to go back there this year. For those that have never been skiing do it and you will be hooked.Give me a mountain or the beach and i would take the mountain every time. You can't beat a sunny day on top of a mountain.
  21. Its no wonder poeple take a chance and don't bother with insurance. My last car that i had to insure was a Civic Type R. £750 with business milage. A few days later in the paper a guy got done for having no insurance same car got a £350 fine. He saved himself £400
  22. Daughter has just passed her driving test, been looking at insurance for her. I have a company car and they will not let her on it as she is not old enough. I don't want to take out an insurance in my name and have her as a second driver as they are clamping down on this. I know someone who works in car insurance investigations and this is a major problem at the moment, chances are that they will not pay out as they know the daughter is realy the main driver if she has a crash. Are there any other ways of doing car insurance other than her taking out her own policy as we are looking at nearly £1,8k fully comp for a small 1 ltr car worth only a grand.
  23. You need to go high say Val Thorens. Best bet is to leave booking as late as possible as Dec is always a bit of an unknown. Otherwise go for a glacier resort say Sas Fee
  24. My company work on a number of projects with councils all over the UK. On the private sector there would at the most 10 of us being project managers, surveyors etc, On the council side we could easly have to deal with 50 people do the same work of 10. The quality of the council personel was also very poor and set in their ways. On any number of times i needed to speak to the council team there was always a number of them off ill etc. The problem we are seeing is that these guys and girls have got away with such an easy work atmosphere that they can' fit into the private sector work ethics. We wouldn't employ any of them as they are just not up to scratch
  25. My beloved A3 company car is going back to the lease company next week. As a short term loan at work they have offered a Mini Cooper Diesel. Bit worreid as all i ever see is woman driving these. Are they any good. The one comming is black with the Chilli pack.
